They can't include free parches for branding with a payware product, and in the case of extra stock packs why should any provider pay more in bandwidth charges for something many people may not want, or already have?
And these branding patches could be withdrawn at any time by the TOCs. It's illegal to sell them, so they are provided for free. Most TOCs are ok with this.
The only one I can think of that views it as a no-no is Virgin, though I don't doubt thee are US and European ones feeling the same.
Noticed that the 222 is 7 quid on Steam at the mo, compared to 22.99 on JT's site. Would this routes scenarios and QDs use the steam 222 or just the JT one? I'm assuming they are exactly the same train?
As far as I'm aware they're the same, but if there is a difference it's a quick and easy job to swap 'em in a scenario
Yes, I think they are exactly the same, they work OK in all scenarios I have checked. Don't think the JT one has any more liveries but I am not 100% sure.
I have no preference either way, I was posting because others may well do. Spike, I have a shortcut to my temp folder on my desktop, avoids the faff.
Has anyone else noticed? I have been driving AP's MML enhancement since release and have only just realised by driving the GEMMA route that Rich has waved his magic audio wand and eliminated the totally unrealistic joint sounds that accompany driving under bridges and tunnels! Aaaah realism at last, I'd love to retrospectively add that gem to all my routes! In fact I'm going to congratulate him on that feat.
I think it provides one additional scenario. I've analyzed it before. The scenario is called "Rush Hour Hell". Take over a Class 222 just north of Bedford and take it to London whilst working the delayed 1B09 05:32 Nottingham-St Pancras.
Ap is slow in New Zealand 5MB/s whereas JT and Steam Sounds Supreme are about 20MB/s. Talking about getting the required stock I have spent more money on getting them than on the route. I'm also having issues with the Class 700 showing up in the scenarios. It comes up as a missing rail vehicle. This is one of the required stock that I had to purchase. I have contacted AP about this.
Thanks have got it sorted. I just got a reply from AP although not mentioned in the manual as a requirement which I didn't know about I need the DTG Class 700. A bit more money to pay out.
It does state on the information page: "Essential Requirements DTG Thameslink Class 700 -" It's called an "Enhancement Pack" for a reason.
Yes I know that and had the AP one but I didn't know that you had to have the DTG one which I didn't know about. We are all not perfect like you and really know need for your comment.
Enhancement Packs - require base DLC which is enhanced. Product page tells you the reqs. Rolling Stock Packs - are standalone
As I said I didn't know there was a DTG Class 700. I don't know why you people keep going on about this as it is all sorted.
Why all of this blame game stuff. Trev probably made an honest mistake. Let’s try to be supportive in this Forum. Respectfully
No one means anything negative when trying to help you. Suggesting they are rude for doing so could lead to you not getting any help in the future because no one thinks you appreciate it. Don't ask for help if you don't want help. I personally found nothing wrong with their comments and I am liable to find wrong in things, myself! It should also be stated that you require a computer.
Good morning everyone, the tone in here has become quite toxic, I would like to ask you to keep it respectful and civil. Sarcasm and snide remarks have no place in here, please make sure to keep that in mind when posting in the future. I've edited or removed comments that are off-topic and argumentative and warned the worst offenders. All the best, Jan
The way I see it, it was some harmless jokes about a mistake (RTFM) a user made. Seems we're lacking a sense of humour in here. If I had done that, I'd just let the others have a little mockery and laugh together with them about "silly me", but it seems people are very easily offended these days.
To get back on topic - In case anyone didn't already see it, AP released an update today. - PIS boards now have text and clock - All speed limit changes should now show in the F3/F4 HUD - Rogue concrete block protruding out of Bedford footbridge fixed - Gap filled in platform extension ends - Floating lamps deleted at Cricklewood North Sidings - Quick Drive fixes - Steam version of Just Trains route requirement now compatible
Humour comes in short supply these days, evidently. I've already escalated this, so I won't discuss it further here. They also released an update for Wherry 2.0. I wonder if users of Wherry 1.0 on Steam (without the patch, which I've purchased directly and can be used with the Steam version to give you a total of 45 scenarios, 20 each in two forms and the five unique ones) might find new bugs cropping up similar to what was fixed on the direct purchase...
Recommend downloading the steap app if you have a smart phone you can add stuff to your basket and checkout on the mobile and when you get back to your pc it is in your library.
I agree, the route has a ton of scenarios not only on the actual route, but also on the Chatham Main Line section by itself (which ends at Rainham on route 00000066-0000 in the Routes folder).
I’m on a short visit to the UK and am currently heading towards Bedford on 700145. It all seems strangely familiar. Everything is so recognisable. What a great job the developers have done here. Really nice to ride the line for real.
Just watching alan thomson running this with a unreleased yet class 360 upgrade pack and with the 360 pack and the upgrade this route looks fantastic the 2 combined look amazing.
Hi all, before contacting Richard at AP just wondering if any of you knowledgeable folk out there have any idea which Asset is missing from these platform signs, I would imagine they are some kind of station lighting post or similar? I have my detail density etc. settings maxed out and to the best of my knowledge these used to display ok. I have gone through the normal clear cache, re-install route etc routines to no avail. I am wondering if I have inadvertently turned off a route I need for these assets. e.g. I have disabled / uninstalled all of my US content via Steam as I hardly ever use them. This particular example is at Radlett Station although the same issue arises at multiple stations along the route. Many thanks in anticipation. Route:- AP MML Enhancement London - Bedford.
Looks like you are missing the retextured JT Common Library station lamps. Also looks like you are missing the retextured white hooped suicide fences along the platform so probably an issue with the CL. Is your JT CL the Steam version? If so, have you tried extracting the .ap file it's contained in and then reinstalling the MML EP?
