Calculators, computers. It's interesting that the very first calculators and computers were mostly used for military purposes, artillery aiming etc. I myself am too old to have used a calculator in school. A slide rule yes.
The story isn't over, but at this stage, things are leaning more towards the good than the bad. Proof of this is that humanity still exists and there hasn't been a nuclear apocalypse. We'll see what happens next, but as far as we're concerned here, yes, it's pretty certain that AI will be used to do bad things.
