It would be so nice to see routes and trains from the early BR modernisation period. At that time, there were many more route miles as well as bigger stations in some places (Windsor Central and Henley for example) not to mention the overwhelming variety of types, some from companies with no prior rail experience, all vying for a slice of the rail market. Green diesels and electrics were the order of the day. For some of us either old enough, or interested, it is a chance to look back at a long gone era in BR history.

I like older trains, not necessarily British. So far, Tees Valley, Northern Trans-Pennine and West Somerset are my favourite routes for TSW. :)

The oldest of these is NTP set in 1984, then TVL set about 1990 with WSR being a recent version. Having looked at a number of books, there is much evidence to be found of the many miles of routes lost in the 1960s onwards as well as some stations that are a shadow of their former glory. The stock was also a whole lot more interesting with so many types being used, some more successful than others.

It would be nice to see and old 'br green' late 60's,70's? type of route added, bringing back to life one of the many routes that were closed would be really cool.
