WAML stand for West Anglia mainline. I would like to see this route because, even though I don't know why, I really want to see London Liverpool Street in TSW. I'm going to suggest 2 time periods to feature, I wouldn't expect both, but one or the other. Set in the modern day: The line direct from London to Cambridge is only around 56 miles long but there are the branches to Herford East, Stansted Airport and the Lea Valley Lines run by TFL. There's also the line avoiding Stratford and the line through Stratford just outside Liverpool Street. Too make the route less linear and make the route coverage more substantial, I would expect all 4 of those to be included. Total route coverage with all of that would be around 80 miles, don't tell me that's unreasonable considering SEHS is 89 miles and is similarly busy to how busy this route would be. And 80 miles is the total track coverage, overall, this route would be around 60 square miles. Included motive power would have to be the Greater Anglia Class 720 Aventra, and Stadler Class 745 and 755 'Flirt' units. This wouldn't be mandatory but, for the Lea Valley Lines you could also include the LO Class 710/1, which is AC electric only, while the /2 and /3 are dual voltage. This wouldn't be mandatory because the existing 710/2 could just layer on if you have the Gospel Oak to Barking route. Speaking of the Gospel Oak to Barking line, just east of South Tottenham is the WAML, and while it's extremely basic, Tottenham hale station has been modelled. Something that I think is worth mentioning, to add some more service variation is the 2 shuttles operated by Greater Anglia between Stratford and Meridian Water and Bishops Stortford so if you only would want to do a short run or don't want to go all the way into London, you don't have to. The point of making the route coverage to Cambridge North instead of Cambridge is simply because Greater Anglia operate a service to there as well as to the regular Cambridge station. Timetable layers could include the XC Class 170 for the Birmingham New Street to Stansted Airport service, the Thameslink Class 700/0 for the Cambridge to Brighton service, although a 700/1 would be used on that in real life, the Class 66 for a few freight services, if you own the BML and GWE remaster, the reskinned Class 387/2 for the Great Northern services for London KX, and maybe even the ROG Class 37 for some Aventra drags to Ilford EMU depot, although Ilford wouldn't be included with this route. If the route was set in 1988: If the route was set in 1988, motive power would have to be a reskinned Class 86/2, Class 47/7, Class 317, and Class 315. /\ I know this photo was taken in 2003, but the Class 86/2s were working on the GEML since 1987, they only lasted until 1989 on the WAML. The route coverage would be exactly the same, timetable layers would be whatever existing 1980s rolling stock would be applicable for this region. Reminder, I'm not asking for both of these, I'm suggesting a route in two different time periods and motive power to go with. I am genuinely not sure which time period I would prefer because I like the new architecture of the rebuilt Liverpool street station but classic motive power has so much more character than modern locos and multiple units.
