I don't need to do anything. It is a shame that some are experiencing crashes, I am sure DTG will address that quickly as it's a fake breaking bug. It seems plenty are enjoying it so it isn't all bad. I don't remember TSW4 being broken.
Matt has been on the forums and answering questions and trying to help people. He is also very aware of the timetable issues. Not sure he deserves to be singled out in such a puerile way.
No, I didn't mean you literally need to come back, never mind. The game crashing tends to be a deal breaker. You had no problems with TSW4 ok? What machine are you on? And as for DTG fixing the bugs as they go, that has been my point, TSW shouldn't keep coming into the market with bugs in it. It will be several months in again.
Edit- clarification. Reverb is apparently present. If it doesnt work suggest uodating settings and drivers etc etc.. No revert in tunnels? That's disappointing.. the soundscape is a heavy immersion element and if its wrong, it really jars. It should be a default item by now. I can't think of a single railway sim that doesn't have reverb in tunnels..
I picked up the game because I felt the US and German routes were worth the money, WCML will get a couple of runs to try out the new trains, then I'll wait for DTG to improve things before really diving into it. I don't really mind being a paying beta tester, I've played this game long enough to know that there will be bugs on release - my issues with WCML aren't 'bugs', they are decisions taken during development, the 710 timetable, the night lighting etc. But, like I said, I bought into it safe in the knowledge that I'll be spending many hours enjoying San Bernadino and Frankfurt, I'm more than happy to post bug reports on the forums to help DTG see what needs fixing, and I am very happy that every bug report I post on these forums will provide added delight to those forums members who enjoy reading them.
If you do conducter mode on the class 350, if you accidently press the buzzer before the local door is shut ( only the gaurd control panels, not the cab) it will not shut, nor be able to shut. The local door is stuck open and will be for the remainder of the journey. (Xbox Series X)
Fair play to you for beta testing, the more you report the more DTG have to work with. Maybe next year DTG should release a beta version to everyone, would that be a good idea, call of duty do it?
I think it's more a desire to try and remove the background non route specific repetitive issues like lighting, sound, service intensity, floating cars etc. Feedback is incredibly useful if it provides commonality of theme which I believe it does. If someone then takes some sense of vicarious pleasure out of it, that is strange, but it may be that it's a simple validation of perspective process that can be observed, noted and discounted from the feedback loop. Also the good feedback is incredibly useful for us as players as it shows where the bar can be raised to. It makes the bad feedback even more clear as items to focus on for future resolution. TLDR- please continue to file feedback as its very useful, both good and bad.
Disappointed with all the invisible walls running alongside the entire route, hardly get off the ballast shoulder and your restricted, makes taking distant photos impossible, these need removing.
Yeah this is pretty disappointing, the whole cab noise is to be honest. It sounds the same at 60mph and 125mph.
It was raining so I'm assuming they should be gone when it's dry. Another thing I noticed is passengers no longer stand under canopies with thier umbrellas open.
Here are three things I would like to see improved. There are other things but I have narrowed it down. - Class 390 cab audio at high speed/tunnel reverb - Increase in Class 710/Underground services (there simply just isnt enough) - Increase in passengers at Euston station, not necessarily on the Platforms but more in the concorse behind. Also Euston can be a bit empty for trains at certain times.
I have seen passengers stand under canopies with their umbrellas open in real life, so they got it right. Some puddles might stay for a bit after it rains, so sounds ok to me, so long as they don't stay for ages.
Thanks fella, DTG need this feedback, an empty station that should have trains in it, that's not good, there should be trains. Passengers are needed to be placed correctly to make it pop. The lack of train traffic is not good either.
From the one run I did do on wcml. It doesn't look too bad. Apart from the appalling tod4 lighting and the signature blue light in the tunnels. It's definitely got a rivet feel to it which I'm not complaining about. I think with a exposure mod it will be good. Driving the dc line is dead bit there's plenty of traffic flying past on the mainline.
Sky issues can be seen on the route. weird pole like assets trackside in several locations. track speeds at Willesden don't match the signage.
Reading all the feedback on the WCML thread, I’m soooo glad I didn’t pre-order. Seems to be a lot of crashes happening on consoles, even Gen 9. TSW 5 (especially WCML) was definitely not ready for prime time.
That is a simple fix, the sky tiles need to be glued back up there again. The pole track side is used by track workers to measure the track maybe? And kids must have changed the speed signs around again
Sounds like a buggy mess. Glad I haven’t pre ordered. German route looks good though but not sure it deserves a full buy. Fair play to Matt for answering questions but surely he saw this stuff with his own eyes initially? I mean that’s his job isn’t it?
Same, a game shouldn't arrive on the market in this state. I am not going to buy and I tried to advise others not to buy until wcml is fixed, fair play to those who did buy it, but they need to raise support tickets. Support Ticket Simulator 5
I don't want people to be having issues, sadly it is inevitable but of course they need reporting, but taking pleasure from it is rather odd. I'm sure I'll find some myself when I've finally managed to download it!
No, they are call boats, they float in water, if DTG made them they may not float, probably sink. You have a faulty blue sky as well
Have you legitmately got nothing better to do than gleefully quote people who are finding issues or slag people off who are enjoying it? Maybe go and play another game? One you might actually enjoy?
Yeah, but sure every year TSW is a mess, but it doesn't stop DTG from selling it to us and then we are expected to wait till the manage to get around to fixing some of the bugs. That is why I didn't run off and buy it and I advised others not to because thus is what you get. I would much rather wait till Easter and pick up wcml in a condition it was ment to be in, not as it is now.
Please tell me the fishing is done from the shore. Fishing from a boat is risky enough in real life without having DTG involved anyway is it any good?
I've just driven the entire Watford DC line on service 2C16 southbound from Watford to Euston and passed a grand total of one 72 stock coming the other way (just after Willesden Junction) and zero 710s, other than one which had just arrived when I left WFJ. Also several signalling issues - AWS triggered on green signals I think 3 times, and remember seeing a location near Bushey on the southbound line where the fourth rail was clipping through an AWS ramp. Additionally, the 710 onboard PIS doesn't work for the intermediate locations between Bushey and Harrow - I'm not sure if they're perhaps missing from the master station list.
I thought we had a full 72 stock timetable, though, and it was just the Lioness Line one that was empty.
Oh no, watching Matt's stream I noticed this, annoying that no one in testing picks these things up. Also noticed no pings/warnings at all from some magnets. Signalling issues really spoil the immersion for me. How is approach control, have all the high speed crossovers have flashing yellows ? And approach from red for the slower ones? Still using those terrible thick fonts for the speed signs I see, how many years have we been waiting for a decent set of UK speed signs? First time I haven't preordered, maybe one for later, as I really only play UK routes in TSW. Zusi for German, Run8 for US routes for me.
I don’t ever buy new releases of anything. I wondered many players are referring to the emptiness of the WCML - do you find this?
I think it’s done passively IIRC from Glossop. That is, you simply click the response which tells them to buy a ticket, or get the heck off my train. However unlike OMSI 2 or Flixbus there is no support for actually selling tickets from a machine and taking cash or card payments. That IMHO would make the process feel less gimmicky.
No, worse fishing games on the market, no virtual angler would play them more than a few times. They also keep copying and pasting new ones - sound familiar? Though Bassmaster 2022 isn’t too bad.
