I am suggesting the WCML from Rugby to Stafford via Birmingham with the Chase Line as a branch. With three stations returning from Cross City including New Street, Duddleston and Aston. Stations for the main part include Rugby Coventry Canley Tile Hill Berkswell Hampton-in-Arden Birmingham International Marston Green Lea Hall Stechford Adderley Park Birmingham New Street Smethwick Rolfe Street Smethwick Galton Bridge Sandwell & Dudley Dudley Port Tipton Cosley Wolverhampton Penkridge Stafford Chase Line stations: Duddleston Aston Witton Perry Bar Hampstead Tame Bridge Parkway Bescot Stadium Walsall Bloxwich Bloxwich North Landywood Cannock Hednesford Rugeley Town Rugeley Trent Valley Including Stock Avanti West Coast Class 390 LNWR Class 350 Class 220 and 221 in Crosscountry livery Layers Class 323 from Cross City on services between New Street & Aston + certain local Birmingham services. Freight variety hauled by Class 66 Intermodal (Requires GWE) Aggregates (Either HKA wagons from GWE or JNA wagons from SEHS) Cement (Requires TVL + Class 31) Steel (Requires TVL) Tankers (Requires BR Heavy Freight pack) Static freight wagons at Bescot Yard. Effects on other routes: Avanti Class 390 AI at Glasgow Central + Diverted services via Newton on Cathcart Circle Avanti and LNWR AI on the WCML part of the Bakerloo line. Cross City Line: Class 390 and 350 AI at Birmingham New Street + Diverted XC services to Lichfield City while AI Only Between Bromsgrove and New Street. Drivable services between New Street and Aston for Walsall services using the class 350 will also be possible.
The best value is actually merging it with the Cross City Line basically making it like Northern section of West Coast Mainline South which includes the southern section of rugby Birmingham Stafford Railway line merging with Cross City Line in train simulator classic. Now they can sell this bundle called train simulator world 3 Rugby to Bromsgrove & Rugley Trent Valley via Birmingham Street
tbh if they added it people would complain, it would be a good route but i’d prefer london to birmingham + TV Lines and BCC, that would make it one hell of a route
It seems unlikely we would get another Birmingham focused route so soon after BCC and if we did then yes it should be merged rather than standalone. However DTG have given no indication or inclination throughout the history of TSW that this is even possible and if they could do it, given current pricing levels, they will be trying to sell it for £60.
it’s unlikely but don’t rule it out, tsw wouldn’t charge 60 for a route like that tbh, i don’t see it being above 40
The Chase line would probably be a separate route altogether given it adds quite a substantial length/complexity already on top of the Rugby to Stafford segment. We would likely only get a Class 350 included too, with other stock such as the Class 390 as later DLC. For anything in the Birmingham area Rugby to Stafford (via New Street or the Trent Valley) would be top of the wishlist however.
