I recently bought the Czech route in TSW, and WOW, the scenery on this route has genuinely blown me away. I would even go as far to say, it’s possibly the most detailed route in TSW to date I mean, the screenshots truly speak for themselves, you can tell they’ve put massive effort into it, and unlike other TSW routes, I haven’t found any lighting issues or any glaring bugs, vector simulations really did their homework on how to create a route! Now, imagine a UK route developed like this, I would absolutely kill for it.
I don't know if it's the same people behind it, but the sheer attention to detail reminds me of some of the Czech content you could get for Trainz back in the day. Certainly a very nice-looking route. JB
There are a few wrinkles, but yes this and Medway Valley set a new baseline for TSW content going forward. The Czechs have also proved rumble going over bridges and structures is perfectly possible as well as reverb under structures and should be a standard feature of all new routes coming out. I'll be asking that one in the Q&A for all the new routes being released whether in house or 3P.
I’d love to see new routes built in the same way as the Czech route and the Medway Valley route. If that were to happen, we’d end up with some really great-looking routes in the future.
Aye i think DTG missed an opportunity staying with UE4s sound engine and not investing in a 3rd party option, still to this day i think TSW hasn't even come close to TSC in the sound department, just the small introduction of rail singing made a massive impact on immersion, 32 channels are not enough for a simulation game.
