Hello everyone, I would like to suggest a route that I believe would be a fantastic addition to Train Sim World: the Weißeritztalbahn, running from Freital-Hainsberg to Kurort Kipsdorf in Germany. This is a 26 km (16.2 miles) narrow-gauge railway with a 750 mm track gauge, and it is one of Germany’s most famous heritage steam railways. The line runs through the beautiful Rabenauer Grund valley, passes the Malter Reservoir, and climbs all the way to Kurort Kipsdorf, offering spectacular scenery and an enjoyable driving experience. Here are a few reasons why I think this route would be perfect for Train Sim World: Authentic steam operation with the DR Class 99.73–76 (Saxon VII K) locomotive. Challenging gradients, tight curves, and numerous bridges. Beautiful scenery that changes throughout the route. A varied timetable with regular heritage passenger services and special trains. Shunting operations at Freital-Hainsberg and train crossings at Dippoldiswalde. It would introduce a German narrow-gauge railway, something that is currently missing from Train Sim World. It would also be great to see detailed steam locomotive gameplay, including realistic firing, water and coal management, authentic sounds, and immersive operating procedures. Another advantage is that Freital-Hainsberg connects directly with the Dresden–Chemnitz route already available in Train Sim World, making this DLC a perfect extension to the existing network. I hope Dovetail Games or one of their development partners will consider this route in the future. I believe it would be a unique and highly enjoyable addition for both steam enthusiasts and players looking for something different. What do you think?
