I want to appreciate the Rush Hour Community challenge. This is the first challenge I'm actively taking part in. Why? Because the price is desirable. Yeah i want to have that one article first. Those screenshots were not really a price tbh. Never cared about that. But whoever came up with that idea at DTG - well done! I hope future community challenges take a similar approach and the screenshots will be gone
Another thing I'd like to see instead of screenshots is different liveries, like the Trainbow. Those kind of liveries could make community challenges really interesting, and would actually make a difference in-game.
The US is losing. Horribly. Just 9,457 services completed. And Germany is winning!!!! It has a whopping 19,637 services completed. And the UK is in the middle, with 12,091 services completed. You can find the updating data here: https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/challenges. Hope this helps!
Yeah. This challenge is extremely tilted against North America users, especially with the length of services for SPG and CRR.
This competition would be a bit more balanced if it were based on miles driven rather than services completed.
Maybe it will get into consideration for the future as it should be no problem. Although germany has an advantage with SKA and HMA here as well - LGV LGV should be counted for the US then But anyway I think it won't change the total number of articles for each route but only the timing (at least I hope so because Boston-Providence probably interests me the most among those three good choices )
Because of all those high speed US trains that will beat the slow plodding of the ICE and regional expresses? There’s no way the US can win, whichever way you mark it.
There were some improvements, but still bad. In their defense, apparently not all of the update got released today, the remaining parts will arrive tomorrow, so hopefully it will get better. But I won't get my hopes too up, the route is still full of bugs and issues. Bad ATC, trains clipping into everything, sound issues, and so on.
