    You can start/end a mission at a red without having to load/unload passengers...
    That could be a solution for those with only one of the contiguous routes.
    But for those who owned both, then, of course, the best is, at least, the "continue session ?" pop-up followed by a loading screen.
    And for TSW666, scenery is loading sequentially and no more loading screen. :cool:

    not really realistic though is it if you have a high speed train that runs 125mph fast starting at a red signal. What TSW needs is a feature like TSC has in that you can start a scenario with the rolling start. Ie the train already on the move.

    What a great route choice, happy with B2C personally as a PS5 player as I never had any actual issues with the route. Wonderful we can essentially now do Euston to Carlisle in TSW. One thing I do hope though is that DTG fix the WCML south

    Jokes aside, starting a mission on the move isn't ideal, as your cab should already be set up properly...

    I can't really imagine them implementing "rolling starts" into the timetable, so i guess the best solution is having most services stop at Milton Keynes. You could still have the services to Birmingham, Glasgow or Edinburgh as AI only since their first stops are Coventry or Warrington Bank Quay, so you could still have some fast Pendos through Milton Keynes and Crewe.

    For the services that do stop at Milton Keynes there'll definitely need to be the option to "continue service" on the other route if owned rather than having to run over to the route hop point. Same goes for Preston when JT's two WCML routes are linked together.

    Given the proportion of players who will own both of these WCML routes, isn't the easy solution to allow to drive those services only if you started them at Euston ?

    I'm really excited for this route and the thing is All aboard studiosnare choosing the the right routes that players want but I do feel like their lacking on with missing Northampton in the DLC

    It's great that the route is coming with a 350/4 & a Class 807 but I'm grateful for the length of the route I just feel when all abroad studio's are choosing routes they are missing small vital elements that are part of the WCMLS. I don't want to be that guy but I really wish All aboard studios would reconsider Northampton as it'll increase demand for this route and provides non-linear play. I did moan about the Stoke-on-Trent section however I think these little branch lines such as the stoke on trent loop and Northampton loop are important because we don't not have the train terminus' -terminus' route. It be great if this could be merged/modded to travel onwards to London in future.

    The Northampton loop will probably be done to cover the Rugby to Birmingham section of the route (730 anyone?)

    Did I read the 390 doesn’t feature in this route?
    I can’t believe I did, I may be misinterpreting something else.

    Not bundled with I believe.

    I don't get the argument that it can't be included because it was a loco dlc. DTG have included DLC locos with new routes before.

    Class 465 with SEHS.
    M3 Budd with Harlem Line.
    Baby Bullet MP36 with San Bernandino (Albeit new livery).
    DB BR 363 on multiple routes.

    This is incredible, now we’ll be able to do a full London Euston to Crewe journey via route hopping. I hope the ECML starts getting some more sections added to it eventually.

    Hope there’s some good AI layers for this route - e.g XC 170/220s at Tamworth High Level.

    But if you own WCML(S) you will have timetables and scenarios for the Pendolino on this route right? Otherwise it makes no sense at all considering the route is full of them!

    Surely it would be preferable to have a route for the XC 170s and 220 instead of something else on the WCML mostly involving Class 350s and 390s but with 2 station stops for XC services?

    Obviously that's a little outside the remit for Train Sim West but I thought I'd mention it.

    Really looking forward to this one. I have been requesting this route for years. Good to see it includes the DIRFT which will open up some options for UK freight. Maybe I can dream of a class 88 loco pack one day....

    You know things are desperate when people are getting excited about having the full compliment of sub-classes for a modern EMU. "Look! A slightly different seating configuration". High octane stuff.

    Can I get confirmation please that the Birmingham to Crewe issues are still being looked at? Or is this going to be the case (I fear) of here’s a nice shiny new route so nobody cares anymore about the Birmingham Crewe issues?

    Also, I presume this route runs Milton Keynes to Stafford? No reason to duplicate Stafford to Crewe is there? So how will this work with AI traffic that is non stop Milton Keynes to Crewe for example? One of the things we’ve seen time and time again with Birmingham Crewe is complaints about the emptiness of it, so we run the risk of the same issue with this route no?

    To bad the WCML South route from London did not went all ways to Brum to link up with the BCC Also no Northampton Loop and St Alburns line and would be nice to have a Class 325 and DVT add on

    I don’t know 350s in the wild as it were, other than from the passenger perspective, but I assume the cabs of all sub classes are identical and so really I don’t see the excitement for the 350/4 at all.

    What might have made this more exciting is a 319/321/325 or a 70 for the freight. But it’s not as easy as that I realise. But really I don’t see why the 350/4 is even mentioned.

    As mentioned elsewhere, it’s highly likely there will be some sort of Northampton to Birmingham add on at some point, which could potentially include Nuneaton to Coventry.

    St Albans Abbey, whilst a pleasant enough line I don’t think it would have enough interest to warrant making really. 1 unit, 1 line, no signals. Perhaps it should have been included in WCML(s)?

    I have a feeling we may never see a Milton Keynes to New Street route or extension of WCMLS now with this announcement. Certainly not in the next twelve months as if another WCML route is announced the forum will go into melt down, not that I'd blame them.

    It is slightly ticklish that we’re getting all excited nowadays about sub variants of the same trains, it kind of proves that we are being fed scraps doesn’t it?
    However I welcome the chance to drive Pendo’s and the 800 series on a decent length of track. At least now the crime of selling a 390 for a short no stop sprint from Euston to MK will be avenged.

    A Dusty Bin would have been great as, having travelled on these and experienced the AP one in TSC the 321’s were one of the last AC EMU types to retain a classic traction whine. Not dissimilar to the much loved 310’s and 312’s. AABS need to recognise the value of doing a Legends style retro pack for their routes, with a 310/312 or 321 and an agreement with JT to use the 86/87 and the Mark 2F and Mark 3 consists.

    All I can say, is, if you're happy with having a similar situation to WCMLS where a just single 350/1 variant is covering every diagram, or BML where we only have a 377/4 covering all services and it doesn't bother you than fair play.

    But for me, I am a railway enthusiast in real life and have an eye for detail in the sub class differences on multiple units and locomotives. I am happy that AAS have gone to the effort to simulate the various 350 sub class variants for us who appreciate such details and notice them. Would you be happier if the just repurposed the original 350/1 from WCMLS and said that's your lot? I think the majority of the community wouldn't want that.

    Messages on the forum don't translate as well as I intend them too so don't take this the wrong way. But I feel with attitudes like the one your presenting you make it possible for developers to keep reusing the same old single sub class models where no effort goes into creating the real life variants. Would you have the same attitude if it was the different variation of HSTs? Or diesel locomotives? Genuine curiosity.

    All I can say is if you certain of your opinion, fair play and I respect that. But I do feel it's not representative of the majority who appreciate the effort that goes into creating the variety of sub classes and all of their differences as a railway enthusiast and for the variety and accurate detail in the game.

    To be honest, if they just threw in the original 350/1 for WCMLS I don't think you would have the same attitude, and you'd probably be moaning no effort had gone into the rolling stock on the route. But as I've already said above, if it doesn't bother you than fair play, but don't ruin it for other enthusiasts who actually notice and appreciate the variants of locomotives/multiple units in the game.
