Polesworth. If we were that fussed about looking at it we could have slowed the video down. Or they could have added a spawn on foot later on to show it. That is not an acceptable excuse.

if it’s the November 2025 timetable then the absence of 730s is noteworthy and again I will ask if it’s 4 or 8 car on the LNWR stuff as it would have been 10 car 730/2 on the real thing.

Maybe one day we will get a Class 730. I can only speak for myself here, but the Class 730 isn't particularly important for me at the moment. I stand to be corrected, but as far as I'm aware they only replaced the 350/2s in real life, leaving the 350/1, 350/3, & 350/4 as the main bread and butter of the route like in real life. So I'm personally not to fussed about the 730.

I watched AAS interview with Richy Rail on YouTube and they have said they have absolutely no intention of making a Class 730, but other developers are more then welcome to make one.

To be fair I wasn’t too fussed over not having the 730 on the first two LNR routes, but TrentValley was the ideal place for it to debut, between the era it’s set & the fact we’re now upto the 4th subclass of the 350, along with the 5th(?) AT300, it made sense if for nothing but some variety.

What’s an even bigger shame is that the 350’s are now going to be split into essentially 3 different sound sets.

108 miles of route, especially a modern urban setting is a real achievement (if it comes out in a better state than B2C), but it really highlights the penny pinching, TSW devs are doing with rolling stock.

Realistically we don’t want any more train classes added to these routes. They are already teetering on the edge of working well enough to be enjoyed. There’s a freight loco coming and then a line should be drawn under the modern WCML routes.

The last thing we want is for savings to be made by optimisation only to then have developers thinking they can fill that space with more and more stuff putting us back in the same situation as we have been in for far too long now. Just look at what most of the posts are about with these routes, they are about them not working properly.

I think it’s two parallel problems, rather than a combined one.

Sure, I want my existing content to return or move to an acceptable state of quality & performance, but I don’t really see a future for TSW when we can only look forward to the same rolling stock for multiple routes. Out of the 14 locos/MU’s released for the UK over TSW 6’s span, only 3 of those aren’t subclasses of units we already have & even one of those 3 is the BMU AT300 which we had in TSW4. That doesn’t include upcoming releases either, with WCMLTV & WCMLOS adding only more iterations of existing stock.

That said, I do think the whole console & performance dilemma has been a factor in AAS not doing more WCML routes (though that doesn’t necessarily exclude branches off the WCML such as into wales & around the midlands).

I wouldn’t disagree with saying a high quality secondary line is much better than a passable or even faulty mainline, but we’re losing so much variety in rolling stock lately.

To clarify my point about the 730, win not saying we must have it. My point was more if the timetable is set as November 2025 it seems odd we don’t have it as that’s the core LNWR traction. You’d think they’d have set it in November 2024 when there weren’t any 730s north of Northampton.

I'm praying that DTG creates Birmingham - Milton Keynes via Northampton & Fast lines. with the class 730

Let's be honest it's probably at the top of the list for most desirable trains for the TSW series

I have a feeling the core route for TSW 7 will be East Coast Mainline or a new license for a operator recently nationalised GEML or C2Cs route would be nice

Sorry if its been mentioned or answered already, if all layers are owned can you drive from euston to MK and just route hop, jump back in same train and continue? Same for the birmingham/cross city lines?
