Yes but loco hauled era with Class 27’s and 37’s when there was still plenty of freight too. However the entire West Highland network, including Oban, would be far too long for a TSW route. In terms of traffic levels for a decent timetable you would be looking at Glasgow Queen Street to Crianlarich which would give the most train movements.
