I listened to the long interview with AABS, and I'm sad to hear that they're moving away from long routes and mainline routes in general. I understand that Trent Valley was a huge project and that they don't want to take on another 100-mile route, but I would have liked to see a modern Crewe–Liverpool or Milton Keynes–Birmingham route.
With the release of Trent Valley, it's even more frustrating that the ATS route never extended to Crewe.

However, the future looks bright for British content in TSW, especially with all the third-party developers involved. I find myself moving away from Train Sim Classic when it comes to UK content because there's already so much good content available, with even more on the way.

I'll still keep TSC installed for the German side of things. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with how that has developed in TSW. Germany really needs more third-party developers alongside TSG.

If we talk about the British part, I am extremely sad that we do not get important, connecting pieces (like Crewe - Manchester, Crewe - Liverpool Lime Street) :С

And the Swiss. I’m seriously thinking about evicting SimRail so I have room to reinstall TSC, as I miss routes like the Surselva Line or the whole Bernina which stand little chance of ever making it to TSW. Ditto the Villingen route with the BR189, the quality UK steam and the US narrow gauge - where another cracking route looks close to being released.

I can’t help but feel the same. Last night I did a run from Euston to Crewe in the 390 (having gone down in the 350) and it’s such a shame I couldn’t finish my journey home (given that I live on the Manchester Airport Commuter route).

We all know why MAC didn’t go to Crewe and I really don’t wish to open that war of words again but it is a shame. I really wish there was a way for the 2 devs to find a way to get the Crewe extension released for us rail fans. It’s a glaring omission at this stage

Considering the regularity they are breaking down at the moment, the "rail replacement bus" would not be unrealistic. I don't think the 139's are long for this world, not in their current form.

I would love to see the Snow Hill lines, preferably going to Worcester, Leamington and Stratford with the freight branchline over the viaduct to Brierley Hill.

That would be a shame as they named one after George, the famous Stourbridge Junction cat.

I watched that interview video with the AAS team, mainly for the Class 70 sneak-peek and I noted that they said they have permission for it to layer onto (either) two or three upcoming routes, the keyword being upcoming routes and not existing routes which they had already discussed. I'm not sure how it would layer onto the Thames branches route but even if you consider that one of the three it still leaves two as yet unannounced routes as "modern" era...

Now, it's been a while since I've been down there but isn't there a decent contingent of Colas 70s down at Westbury? Failing that, the Freightliner ones were surprisingly regular at Eastleigh on modals...

Thanks to ATS and their lack of commitment to TSW, that’s something we’ll never see.

It’s situations like this where important lines aren’t finished, DTG team should be stepping to finish the remaining part of the route so it connects with the other routes in the game.

The route should’ve been the airport branch only, as any attempt to make a MAC to Crewe by someone else now will shutdown by DTG.

Could not agree more and it baffles me as to why they wouldn’t at this stage. It would benefit their product immensely so why not?

Im unsure if P2C will get a modernisation pack like WCMLOS but if on PC there will be an opportunity to go all the way from London area to Carlisle in the Pendo if you can get past the scenery era aspect...WCMLOS will come first then onto P2C

Fully agree on the Swiss side of things. I´m suprised Rivet did not contiune to make all their RHB routes like in TSC. I would have loved that with the lidar mountains etc. in TSW.
The German scene in TSW is bleak compared to TSC. No Berlin S-Bahn, no narrow gauge, no privatbahnen, no long mainline routes, no selection of freight waggons, no modern EMU´s. I don´t see TSW ever catching up with German content to be honest, because the base is so bad. Most German routes are short and out of date with the old TOD system and many bugs.
On the british side there is much more solid base with longer routes and lots of relevant Rolling Stocks thanks to all the third parties. That´s why I´m keeping TSC installed for Swiss and German content.

It is also coming to the Mildmay extension so I assume that is one of the three, leaving just the upcoming GEML as the third ;)

Which is sad because that route was actually one of the few bright spots for Rivet.

The only issue is where the cutoff location is.

That would be on my wishlist for an extension.

Well, maybe not that popular opinion there but more WCML would be great. I hope to drive from London to Glasgow one day.

I really think we have enough WCML for now. Euston all the way to Carlisle (+ B2C and MAC) is enough for the minute I think
