    What are Beginner Controls?
(Main Menu > Settings > Controls)

Beginner controls are an excellent choice for players wanting a more casual experience or an easy way to jump in and play for the first time.

This will completely remove the need for setting up the cab and instead allow you to focus on the driving experience.

Beginner controls are enabled by default if you select Beginner/Casual on first launch.

How will my experience differ when using Beginner Controls?
    • You train will use simplified physics and audio.
    • You cannot interact with the cab, everything you need is on the HUD.
    • You will be able to pass red lights, but doing so may make a service impossible to complete as you will end up blocking other trains and breaking the timetable.
    • Your train cannot be derailed from collisions or speeding.
    • Beginner controls will use a simplified HUD that cannot be customised.

    Compatibility:
At this time Beginner Controls are only compatible with Timetable Mode and Free Roam mode. A warning message inviting you to swap to Immersive Controls will appear if you select something that is incompatible.

How do I disable Beginner Controls?
If you change your mind and want a more authentic experience, you can disable Beginner Controls from the main menu under Settings > Controls.
