So I know the basics and how to set up the aws but what do all the buttons and other controller do ? Whenever I press them they don't change much in fact they don't do a thing, are they just for show ? Where can I find out how to use them

Thanks that helped bit but I was also wondering what they all mean for example, on the class 166 like the buttons inside the actual cab, there is an override emergency button and things like, basically all the stuff that you're not shown in the tutorial is what I'd like to know what it's means and how to use them

Hey, I’m just learning myself and the best way for you to learn is to just try then while driving or google them. Read generally around the what you’re wanting to know about and then more specifically around the engine itself.

    Quick run through

Safety systems are the hardest to learn.

-DSD or dead mans switch when activated will sound an alarm when the controls have been untouched for a certain amount of time and if you don’t reset the stock automatically applies the e break.

-AWS is to do with signalling and what signals lay ahead.

-On the class 166 there is red and blue buttons each side of the driver which activate the doors on the side the buttons lay.

A lot of buttons are just for show but use your imagination a bit!

In no way a pro so anyone correct me if I’m wrong!

    Dan

Just one question on the AWS. When you get the alert sound 200 yards before the signal, do you have to acknowledge that like you would with the DSD? I have been doing, but wasn't sure if it was required and didn't want to not do and run to a stop ;-)

With AWS, a green signal ahead will sound a pleasant ping, which does not have to be acknowledged. If the signal ahead is double yellow, yellow or red, you will get the AWS alerter sound which does need to be acknowledged like a DSD.

Isn't this information available in each route's users' manual?

The PS4 user's manual tells you nothing about such controls
