Rural, the more remote the better. I mean, I like urban runs too which is why I’ll be buying that new Running Train Japanese game, but you can’t beat a bit of winding single track as it climbs and falls through remote hill country or pastoral farmland.

Actually, I'm fan of S-bahn services, branch lines and scenic routes. I'm not really a fan of IC and High speed.
On Linke Rheinstrecke for example, I mostly take the BR 628, sometimes the BR110, but almost never the BR 103, as there is not that much to do while driving IC services. So I leave the poll for what it is, as I can't make a choise between the 2 options.

I like both but there’s not much to see with rural routes so I get bored more easily. I like passing lots of things as I drive so urban scenery is better for me. I think the best routes are main lines that have a mix so I get longer distances between stops and pass through sections of countryside and urban areas, as one of the downsides of completely urban routes is the services tend to be too stop/start for me. Rural stop/start routes are my least favourite type of route. If I’m driving through the countryside I want to be going through at a pace without stopping often. A lot depends on how well the scenery is made as well of course.

My favorite routes in previous trainsims were the drives through the US and, especially, the Canadian Rockies.

Nothing in TSW compares and unless a new 3P takes a chance on a Western Route, we're unlikely to see one.

I'll have to be satisfied with SPG and bits of Cajon I guess.

I like both, though when it comes to rural ones, I really enjoy passenger services like Niddertalbahn or Arosalinie.
