Only DTG. Nothing has been officially announced or teased. It has been officially stated that they are working on the next 3 DLCs though.
Make bets! A british or german locomotive, an American route (Feather River), a French or Italian route... He only knows DTG.
Rather some Canadian route, but till Diesel Electric simulation update arrives I don't expect new route.
As a complete guess, I'll go for a UK route, a scaled down one of that already exists by DTG in TS20xx
The next UK route will probably be something like York to Newcastle, which isn’t a particularly exciting route, even in real life.
Isn't' that what they have done with all the routes so far not just the UK ones, I suppose it makes sense since they already have the route data they may as well use it rather than research new data for a route they don't already have.
Yep, which is fair enough as you they have the data, only problem is they are shorter. If for example they bring London - Brighton line for TSW but only as far as Gatwick Airport, I for one would not be a happy bunny, full line yes, shortened cut down version, nope.
I still want an updated Surfliner. I ride it every now and then and the route today is vastly different than the one is TS18
But to answer the OP, no one but DTG knows (and maybe closed beta testers) what the next DLC is going to be. They usually don’t announce it until they are close to being released... Lately it seems like every 3-4 months they have been coming out with a new one. We tried getting Luke drunk a few times before but he wants to keep his job and won’t tell us However, I can say that they have said that there are at least 3 DLC’s in production right now.
Hopefully one of the three DLC's being worked on will be their first route extension and continuing the GWE from reading onwards to another point......i mean it probably wont but that would be nice to see
That’s a big IF as we have to get acceptance from DTG and Epic Games first. Though I really hope we can as it’ll open a lot of opportunities.
The main reason given for the shorter routes is time constraints, longer routes would take longer and therefore cost more due to the man hours taken.
Personally, the current roads I like, in their length. It's an hour's drive. It's good. I'm sure if they were longer, it would become boring. You will tell me: "you have to make a backup, and continue later". But in the current state, there are many problems when resuming a saved game. This is what I do in ETS2 and ATS, but there, no bug when we resume a game.
They will be making longer routes eventually, as they get faster and more efficient at building them.
My guess is a CSX or freight based route, maybe Horseshoe curve? PPR signal but not anything that seems common on any major passenger lines that use PPR signals... Doesn't look like anything NJ Transit based, but maybe LIRR? Does LIRR have any signals like that though? EDIT: Most Horseshoe curve aspects are for three-track areas and are overhead, so this could be an LIRR route
