As for my least favourite route, based upon the ones I do own, I'm torn between Rapid Transit and Spirit of Steam. I find neither of these routes particularly enjoyable and both were quite a let down to me personally.

Don't Hate - Just an opinion!

Personally I think the ECML was quite bad, not necessarily the gameplay or rolling stock. It's because Peterborough - Doncaster was super boring for me. I kinda like the route a little now as we had updates etc. The fact there was only 5 stations just really didn't bring any fun for me. If there was 2 major interchange stations I probably would've had a bit more enjoyment and fulfillment. York or Newcastle should've been the North terminus' with the potential of terminating at Kings cross' (Having' part routes where they don't end/start at 2 major stations really bugs me for some reason.

I enjoy ECML, the scenery is beautiful and accurate, Peterborough is hardly a glamorous place to start a rail journey! But I am happy with the way DTG did the route in general, WCML seems a step backwards unfortunately and the graphics look worse tbh.

    Fife Circle for me.

As a native Fifer I was so looking forward to its release, and then (I'm quite new to TSW) I seen a lot of people lowering expectations on the basis Rivet were developing it.

The route itself is enjoyable enough to drive, however, the scenery is like something you'd expect to see in Minecraft. Absolutely shocking. Some of the buildings and roads etc are embarrassing - to say nothing of Edinburgh Airport.

When you compare the scenery on the likes of Blackpool Branches - which is absolutely stunning - Rivet should be banned from making anymore routes until they get their act together.

I actually like ECML. I just don't like it ending at Doncaster.

Thats' why this post is so constructive with other players' opinions' I just would've liked to have a bit more of a run and just have 5 stations essentially. I s'spose it's all varies on the style on how you like to play I liked stopping and semi-express runs so it probably fell into that category where I kinda don't like it. But it's good too see that some people do like it.

WCML needs huge improvement fix timetable and lighting needs to be fixed on the 350's and i can't remember what station it is but one of the stations' the PIS is backwards

From the routes i own, LGV gets the prize easily. While it is not a bad quality route, it is an extreme one trick pony - you drive a TGV, and thats it. And the TGV is good, but the problem is, thats it.

In my opinion, a high speed route cannot be released with just the high speed line and nothing else: because of how high speed train lines work, and how TSW works, high speed routes in the game will almost always have just a couple of stations. So, if you have absolutely nothing else to do, like regional regular speed trains (like SEHS/BS), or freight (like SKW), it gets boring very very quickly. Seriously, if i want to drive a train at high speed i can go to SEHS or Boston Sprinter, and it is an enjoyable experience, even if they dont go as fast as the TGV.

While the LGV line has some bald spots, the route overall and the Tgv Duplex are enjoyable.
But Arosa is horrendous in all chapters, so there is no competition here. Arosa is the worst route to ever release for TSW, ugly scenery, bad physics and horrendous sounds.
Every route might have some issues, but Arosa is absolutely atrocious from top to bottom.
For anyone to vote something else in a such a pool where Arosa exist is just ridiculous.

So what you're saying is, you're on the fence when it comes to Arosa lol

LVG and TVG. I have nothing against the French, I just don't care for their trains and routes.

West Cornwall is terrible, the 150/2 train that comes with it terrible too. Only saving thing is the Turbot and Seacow wagons. The Loco hauled trains are bordering on an insult. How many 40s were running on the mainline on Blue Grey stock in Cornwall in 1992. Answers on a postage stamp will do.

I disagree. Arosa is an unique route, offering the very first Swiss route, the very first narrow gauge route, and the first route offering real mountains. Perhaps that was a challenge Rivet wasn't completely ready for, but I appreciate them for trying. Back in the time, DTG was still recycling Dostos and Electrostars on routes that were hilly at best. I still find Arosa an enjoyable experience.

It's pretty ridiculous to call anyone who has a different opinion than yourself "ridiculous".

I voted NYT, because dtg really started to go lazy with the timetable on that release. It was a joke.

Now after the massive update its ok, but it took many months. Looking at the situation of fife circle (which i didnt buy) and wcmls, their timetable a lacking massivly too.

Lazyness = 0/10 points from me

I have always gone against the flow too as regards Arosa. If you drive it at the right time of day or weather conditions it doesn’t look too bad. The loco and stock physics need a buff but ironically if you drive the Rivet/Thompson RhB routes in TSC most of their electric traction shares the same jerky acceleration characteristics.

For me, my worst route I have ever bought it FCL, Scenery is absolutely horrifying, No depot services when you literally have Haymarket depot next to Edinburgh! Cowdenbeath shunts are totally incorrect and should not take 25 mins.

Despite it being one of the oldest routes I might be only one of the few who actually still plays Rapid Transit and enjoys it for what it is - obviously accepting it has many flaws. But still, I really enjoy the 182 and 143 services, although the Talent 2 from this route isn't that enjoyable however.

Luzern Sursee... but the worst for me, cos I dont play it anymore... such big disappointment for me was the broken ETCS... I have bought it for the Flirt train and ETCS... Flirt itself is super cool, but ETCS, gah :D ... DTG nor anyone else has attempted ETCS again after this

That's bloody Tauranga isn't it? Only watched five seconds and I felt this sudden darkness around as if all positivity dispersed.

gotta be arosa for me, physics, scenery, sounds all shocking. rivet did redeem themselves with bernina though, so they’re a little bit off the hook for that. LGV is lacking in scenery, but the TGV is great and needs an appearance somewhere else. NYT has some good rolling stock and a very good timetable now, but like arosa the scenery is not the standard it should be

I would go for Rapid Transit...this red light bug, limiting you for quite a long stretch to 45/25 km/h, when driving with PZB, the schematic overground station of Leipzig Hbf, and quite some other annoyances...ok, it's the first german route, but all in all, it desperately needs a remaster, as it could actually be quite a nice track, with a fairly large selection of vehicles that nowadays could be run on this route.
