NI does have the scenic route out to Derry (or Londonderry if you wish) plus the Portrush branch, but very much a one trick pony for operations. DMU operation, little or no freight though if you set in an earlier period would get the NIR version of the Thumpers in game. Also the Video 125 cab ride, at the time it was produced, showed a substantial amount of jointed track still in situ, unlike the UK network where NR seem intent on installing CWR on every part used siding.
Portsmouth Harbour to London Waterloo. Although Pompey to Guildford or Woking might be more realistic.
Chiltern Mainline, London to Birmingham, or half the route as far as Banbury, if the whole route is not possible.
I voted for London as l would like to see both the Metropolitan Line and the Piccadilly Line but also the Chiltern Line via High Wycombe.
But when talking about Ireland in a uk context there’s only one. I get you for an International Conversation but that’s not what this is about. since this thread mentions only uk places so you can’t really mistake the two since normal Ireland isn’t apart of the uk
it’s not clear if there was a mistake though, it’s we’ll known the republic is referred more conveniently as Ireland and Northern Ireland isn’t. not saying op doesn’t just saying there’s plenty of people who can’t explain the difference but that’s the end of my say on this, I know how easy threads decend when politics enters the chat
Carlisle to Leeds would be nice, even better if it's set in the BR Blue era because then you've got a connection between Preston to Carlisle and Northern Trans-Pennine routes for hopping purposes.
