The tidying up of this route in particular, possibly other Rivet routes, is something that DTG should insist upon before allowing any further content releases. Until such time, they should be disallowed to sell any further content. I agree that it is highly likely that the original route was set to be during First GWR era but due to licensing issues was changed to early Regional Railways era instead and therefore suffered from a decline of interest in creating a better route. I like the premise of Rivets offerings which is usually different to what is already available but am often disappointed with the execution.

  2. Agreed. In my opinion the only good rivet route is the Island Line 2022, which even that has flaws, with the biggest 2 being the lack of the Steam Railway and the unbranded 484s.

Both are likely missing for licensing reasons.

I'm not going to defend Rivet's missing ability to update their content, which is the worst I've ever seen in TSC and TSW. But in their defence: while we are complaining about their routes. Take a look at the system requirements for TSC and TSW4, here is from TSC recommended system: *Processor: Intel Core-i5 4690 3.50 GHz Quad Core or AMD Ryzen 7 1700 3.80 GHz Quad Core or Better. *Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 480 with 4 GB Dedicated VRAM or Better.
TSW4 is offered on PS4 and XBOX One.
How do you work with this, maybe it's time for Dovetail to not support TSC and TSW on ancient hardware so that developers can build routes not having to consider if it will run on said ancient hardware ?

The Island Line is run by SWR who aren't keen on giving a license.

I agree, it's ridiculous that a game has to be held back by this 10 year old hardware but the reality is most people are still using it. Give it another year or so and after GTA6 is released, I honestly think that one game will be the turning point of most people upgrading hardware and then stuff might just change.

Im strictly changed to "nobuy", not because Rivet is all bad, but because they abandon all releases.

Luzern is not fixed at all, even worse with freeroam you see how bad the signalling was implemented. Everything away from the timetable path is not working. Even the aspects on the regulair path is wrong many times.

Rivet could cut them self a slice from the mod project of five circle and try to make it even better. But no sign of that. The community had to remind them that is "maybe" better to populate the depot.
It was totally empty at release.

There are too many unforgiving things, which let me hold back my wallet on Rivets products for a long time (if not forever). Worst of all, i would actually buy the routes because im interested in fife circle. But a clear "No" to the lack of passion and their way to abandon their own products.

'%Im comparing Rivet the hard way with TSG and JT, and they mostly end up on average or below.

I came here to say something, but got distracted by the Capri and forgot what that were. Brilliant cars though and were bloody affordable, especially if you were happy to do a bit of work on it.
What I will say on WCL is that if DTG do use Rivet's 150/2 model on the Welsh network, I'd assume (if not, certainly hope) they would need to fix it's physics and so sound and then hopefully this may prompt Rivet to bin their version, after DTG have done the hard work and put it in this route. That would improve the experience on the route drastically.

I assume that if it is the Rivet model they'll remake the simulation from scratch like they've done with other trains.

Hopefully any changes they make to the 150 will then be back ported to WCL, which will at least put right one of the issues. Just the route itself then to fix up.

There is hope. If JT howerver decides to make a 90s route with a cl. 150/1, we might get a 150/0 and 150/2 in addition.
