Can still make out one of the station signs behind the shelter- East Croydon? I would suggest posting another.
Is it on Portsmouth direct line? Looks like one of the stations they included on the lines without scenery- near Guildford perhaps?
Nope and it is not in Wales. Two more clues - the station is still in use on a preserved railway the route is set in pre-preserved days
Been looking at most of the preserved railways in England- does the station still look like this today?
It has only two platforms now, the one 27024 is in and the one to the left And this is a Payware Route but not on Steam.
That might be where the loco is currently based but it was here on 15th Nov 2008 Clue - look at the link my signature
Oh my God, do not tell me it's the Lakeside and Havethwaite railway?! Lakeside? That's where 27024 was on the 16th November 2008.
Correct https://peter749.piwigo.com/index?/category/31-lakeside_and_haverthwaite_2008 The Stainmore Route includes Lakeside station - they don't advertise it on the web as it is very basic Your turn
Can't believe that! I live about 20-30mins away from it and still didn't recognize it! I'll post one shortly
No idea if you were aware, but your screenshots are always named after the route for some reason, and actually have co-ordinates... e.g, this one is called "Screenshot_(Doncaster - Leeds - York) Leeds Lines _53.82701--1.22708_08-30-48.jpg" which makes it simple to find the location. Load up Leeds lines... type in the co-ordinates, and voilá... you're at the location. In fact, you don't even need Train Sim at all.... just put those co-ordinates into Google maps, which takes you to Church Fenton. How are you making these screen shots?
That's odd, I can't see anywhere it saying the route and the coordinates. All I'm doing is taking the screenshot in game, going to upload file here/sometimes just copy from file explorer and then press full image. What I might try is renaming the screenshot next time and see if that works any differently. Where is it showing the route name and the coordinates on the page as I can't see this?
Right click on the image and select "save as", and you'll see its file name. I've no idea why yours have all that information in them, as when I take a screenshot by pressing F12 it's just date and time information in this format "20210404113412_1.jpg". If I screen shot by using Prt Scn, it's the same, but has "Railworks" at the start of the file name. Yes, but next time, look at the file name you are asking it to upload, or are pasting in.
It's just the way it's set up for me, I've only just started with the forums on here (been playing T.S for years). I'll look at this next time I'm uploading.
When I take a screenshot it saves it as something like "Screenshot_ROUTE_01.2345--01.2345_10-31-46.jpg" And it saves a copy in to my Pictures folder as selected in the Steam Client (not quite but near enough) I then drag it to the Desktop and rename it to something different before uploading
When I take a in game screenshot I get two images One is saves to where I specify in the Steam Client and has the format as above The other saves to Steam\userdata\YOURCODE\760\remote\24010\screenshots and the format is 20210502174836_1.jpg Split that and it makes sense Date/month/day/hour/min/sec 2021 05 02 17 48 36_1.jpg In the Steam Client go to Settings and you get this box Click on In-Game and you can chose your Screenshot folder I always use the Camera Icon on the F3 HUD and it saves two screenshots with different names Peter
Yep... that's what I'm getting. I can't understand why duchess's screen shots have the route and location in the file name.
Maybe I did not explain it very well "When I take an in game screenshot I get two images One is saves to where I specify in the Steam Client" The Steam Client saves a file with the "Screenshot_ROUTE_01.2345--01.2345_10-31-46.jpg" format Have a look in your Steam Client to see what has been preset The default for me is C:\Users\peter\Documents\Pictures
I take pictures with Ctrl.+S as that hides the hud and any other thing that may pop up. It saves the pictures under my Images folder under the name of the route (I didn't notice the coordinates but it makes absolut sense). So all my screenshots here and on the International edition were revealing the exact location
Yes.. this is what I am doing. One goes into the usual TS location, and I have set a separate folder to save uncompressed versions into. The version Steam saves does not have that format though, it's the same as the regular one. I notice you don't have a shortcut key set... that's the only difference I can see.
Yep. ALthough I'm pretty sure CTRL+S doesn't name them like that for me either... hang on I'll check. [edit] No... I just took a screenshot now, using CTRL+S and that is the same "20210507143843_1.jpg" Obviously... 7th May 2021 at 14:38 and 43 seconds. Using F12 gives teh same format, and the Steam screenshots are similar... "24010_20210507144034_1.png" No idea what 24010 is all about though... Oh yeah.. that's the folder they're located in. I can't get mine to rename them as route and co-ordinates no matter what I do. Oh well.. probably a good thing... well, for this thread anyway
I just realised something. Looking through some really old screenshots, they used to be named this way.... ...as you can see by this one. "Screenshot_WCML North_54.89108--2.93432_14-30-42.jpg" I've no idea what's changed, or why it no longer does. It's a mystery.
