Where's The Brake? Br146.2

Using XBox One X handheld wireless controller.
When running tutorial on DB engine, there is no mention of a Brake Lever, nor does any button on the controller act as a brake handle. What did I miss?

Should be left trigger (L2) to apply brake, and left bumper (L1) to release. Switching brake type (where applicable) is Square on PS4, so whatever the XBox equivalent is (maybe X?).

If only that were the case. Neither left trigger nor left bumper are responsive. This is a brand new system. Non response is only for this locomotive and this game.

 

Did you try pressing 'X' to select both brakes and then activate them? Hm...
