Soooo ... when is the 204 finally "freed" from MSB and available on more routes (to be selected by the player to drive)?
I'd love it if they freed it, as honesty I really don't want to buy MSB just to get the 204. The 101 has been freed and is usable without it's home route, right? Same could be done here.
deadbird You might wanna adjust the thread title? As Matt stated, DTG do not "hate" the 204. It's more that some players do. I enjoy it despite some flaws, it's one of the finest modelled engines in TSW.
Any news on this? We'd love to at least have the option to select the 204 for any shunting service in the timetables.
I would be so happy if someone can make a pak file repaint in DR Livery or some of the private EVU's. The loco isnt that bad at all if take a look at the 187 wich is actually realy bad. Greetings from Germany
I use the br204 a lot in free roam, a bit switching and dropping wagons in some side tracks. Driving is quite different, you have to listen to the sound, after reading the manual. You dont throttle to the max, but only when the acceleration stopped. It works a bit like a gearbox, bit I dont know if this is correct in reallife. If you throttle up the right way the acceleration is quite good.
Well it's a good-looking locomotive with more power than the 363 - BUT it brakes far slower than what's acceptable...
Have been playing Hamburg-Lubeck recently and have seen the 204 appear not once, but twice which is a rare sight. As much as I love the 363/365 it's way overused in TSW so the 204 adds some much-need variety.
I really like the 204 as well. She needs some love. And some layers on other routes. And possibly more paint jobs, but that may be asking a bit much.
TSG should do a 204 Expert. Even though they won't do it, it's more likely than Rivet fixing anything they released. This DLC is so old, I'm not sure they even know they did it. And while TSG is looking into it, they could decide to bring the Voith Gravita DE21 instead I get carried away dreaming...
just like skyhook's 187 I don't think the 204 will recieve any more love. it does occasionally sub into the lighter freight runs, not being possible to choose by the player but I see it occasionally as an AI
