By my count, TSW 2 will have: A livery editor A scenario editor New adhesion physics Dynamic skies Will these features be available in the "preserved" DLC from TSW? If so, that sweetens the deal significantly.
It states on their FAQ that preserved routes will not be remastered, meaning it's unlikely we'll see them work cross-platform. https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/about-trainsimworld#faq-11
So no adhesion physics or dynamic skies, perhaps, but I hope we would be able to use the livery and scenario editors with back-ported content.

Yes, I read that line, too. I don't believe it has anything to say on the livery and scenario editors. Also, DTG Protagonist suggested I make this thread after I asked the same question on Discord. I expect his answer momentarily. So keep it polite, please.
Yup, Buying a next Gen Simulator and at the same time limiting the older DLC's (hundreds of dollars, mind you). Marketing must think this strategy will "Absolutely be a banter for our fans"
Hold on assumptions on this topic for now. We'll try and give 100% clarity on Thursday. It's one of the biggest areas of external misunderstanding at present, so needs to be properly addressed. (Thanks for reposting in here)
It would make sense to re-master them because people invested money into this content and a lot of hard work went into each DLC
