Hey guys, I’d like to share a project me and TSC user ‘n0cturnal’ are working on. The project in question is an Enhancement Pack for the Airedale and Wharfedale Line. This involves adding extra detail to the route, including extra foliage, buildings, scenery, line-side ‘clutter’ and more. This is very early in the project, so there is still a tonne of work to do, with there being no set delivery date at this moment in time. With a collection of over 300 pictures I have took around the route in real life, as well as a handful of videos, along with plenty of resources online, there is a lot to look at and fill in. Below are a few before and after shots of the work done thus far around the Leeds area. This has been done within the TSW’s Public PC Editor, by n0cturnal. Additionally, shipped alongside the main Airedale & Wharfedale Enhancement Pack mod is an optional building artwork patch, for the building at Leeds. This patch re-textures the current white, generic office block into its real life visuals, by changing the concrete render to black and giving the windows a blue tinge. Most noticeably, the Athena Rising Owl artwork has also been added to the side of the building. We have decided to make this an optional patch, alongside the main Enhancement Pack, as this gives players full flexibility as to whether they want to utilise the building patch or not. This does not have any impact on the main Enhancement Pack itself. Let us know what you think.
Good work, but surely this is the standard DTG should be mandating Rivet to deliver in the first place?
It’s wonderful to see modders adding such great detail! Hopefully, the team at DTG takes note and can include these touches in a future update for everyone to enjoy.
Looks great, can't wait! I don't suppose some proper stop car markers might be in your gift too? Appreciate your work.
Looking really good - I do get it to a degree, the developer (ie Rivet) has to deliver to a certain timescale, although it always amazes me that within days, you fantastic modders deliver another element, it's a shame you couldn't be contracted by DTG or whoever was producing, have early access for a few weeks before and then work with them to produce perhaps a very best enhanced product. Anyway. will look forward to this when it is out.
