I'm not sure. Splitting at Gillingham or Faversham will be a good option for now I think. I'm also unsure if I can have the North Kent Lines and SEML in one route, but time will tell
Faversham with Sheerness Option would be nice... Lets hope eventually we can have Dover/Ramsgate added.
Driving out of Cannon Street and Charing X and doing the clockwise / anti-clockwise routes to Dartford, has always been something I've dreamed of doing on Train Sim. Soon enough, the dream will come true. I'm buzzing!!
Two part scenerio in the works.... Starting from Hastings to Tonbridge, driving a Connex Class 411, on a service bound for Charing X, on the 1066 line
The scenery on this route still amazes me... Hopefully in the future there will be a non-workshop version so we can have custom assets, because that will raise it to payware quality. I feel disappointed my work isn't anywhere near as good as that (although I do like what I make in its own way).
Seems Stonegate (East Sussex) is party central.... look at how many people are crammed on the platform! (This is the 1066 Route (Hastings to Tonbridge) Part 2 will use the new route from Tonbridge to London Charing X Connex Conga!!!!
Part 1 of my Hastings to Charing Cross Scenario is now available.... Part 2 will be released when the SEML is released. Requirements: Backdated Train Sim – Class 1066 Line (Hastings Line to Tonbridge Line) AP Class 411 EMU AP Class 205 Pack DTG North Somerset Add-on (Steam) To install download the attached zip file, (See below) which has the scenario files , unzip to a temporary folder, (such as C:\Temp) and run the installer.
Regarding London Bridge I'd say focus on the other sections first then do what Danny did with his merges and have 2 versions with the one having the old layout and the other one with the new layouts
It a shame that 1066 route from Backdated train sim can't merge on this route as it be great to do the full run from Charing Cross and Cannon Street to Hastings
Leaving some of the screenshots that will be used on the workshop. Note that all assets are default here for that reason. No AP track/texture and sky box.
Constantly acting the way you are is a bad influence to anyone who might want to develop stuff 'in your interest'. Consider the idea of being courteous and it will come when it's ready, would you rather complain it's not here right now or moan that there's bugs and etc. going on? You've been doing this all week, just occupy yourself with something else.
You are. Unless you have a direct question about the route could you please refrain from commenting. It’s getting annoying now, we all want the route out but Vaffelen will release it when he feels its right to do so, not when you say so.
I would like to know if the route will come with any scenarios or quickdrives so we can start driving straight away please?
It comes with basic quick drive. I haven't made any scenarios that just uses default stock yet, but might make one after release.
This is absolutely bloody amazing Vafflen, keep up the great work! Can I just ask as to what inspired your creative process, and how did you get to there your are today? I work on a different simulator, and I would love to just know what the uphill learning curve on TS is. I’m thinking about getting into route making and development myself!
That's a difficult question to answer, as it all started with me being bored and wanting to have a go at making a tiny route. The tiny route being The Bromley North Branch. Then I just kept expanding and merging to the point where I'm at The learning curve is very steep at the start, but thankfully there are so many tutorials on youtube and steam, so it's all very manageable.
Enjoy. It's finally out https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2905241934 Post #1 has been updated
Nice now it out I do hope that DTG turn this into a DLC route as we do need a route from Chaing Cross and Cannon street
Just had a quick run from Charing Cross to London Bridge with a Jaffa Cake Liveried 4-CEP and fantastic - well done for all the hard work put in, I think will be very well appreciated - looking forward to finally doing a full run to Hastings, time to dig out that old recording from Video 125 - Hastings 1066.
Just done a quick run from Cannon Street to Lewisham... wow goosebumps. As previously mentioned, I'm a big lover of the Southeastern network and just approaching them crossover tracks before Lewisham was surreal. You have done a wonderful job with this. Liking the fact that Blackheath, Deptford and Lee stations are there, which can only suggest that the 3 loops to Dartford are in the plans. Going to Dartford and back clockwise / anticlockwise to London, will be the icing on the cake in the future. For now, can't wait for scenarios to be made for the current route.
So I've done the full line run down to Tonbridge and my god, the amount of love and effort put into this shows well more of what people like you, third party developers, can do. I wouldn't be honest if I said I did press my bloody eyes to the screen waiting for a release. But you Vaffelen have more than outdone yourself! I tried to look to see if I could nitpick on much, if anything at ALL, the only thing I could find wrong(which I do understand you have addressed and even put in a temporary working for) is the problem with London Bridge and the Bermondsey dive. Of which I still even then had no problems with. Absolutely astonishing work, give yourself a pat on the back! PS: The scenery Between Sevenoaks-Tonbridge was actually quite nice and I did not have any problem blazing through that section at 100 Here's some shots of the run:
Vaffelen, thank you for your hard work on this route!! We are grateful to have talented devs like you! Can't wait to play it!!
Looking forward to the north kent lines being added and I hope we get a version of the route with the old Rochester, Strood Rainham and Gravesend in the future as it would open the door for more backdated scenarios
The only work that would be required is to merge the London - Faversham of the Gravesend-Rainham section on top of the existing section
Hey Vaffelen, congratulations on the route release. I must say you've done a smashing job! I can finally recreate all sorts of services in and out of London with Charing Cross and Cannon Street now and it looks superb! If anyone is interested, check out my run from Charing Cross to Sevenoaks on YouTube here: Hopefully this gets your route seen more Also has anyone made any scenarios for this yet?
I subscribed to this route but it isn't showing in the route builder, standard scenarios or quick drive when I play Train Simulator
Are you sure it's downloaded? If it has you may need to wait a little while in the main menu for the game to install Workshop content.
I also had reports of this on the workshop, so I tried subscribing myself. It didn’t appear in the first launch, but it did on the second. I did provide an update last night with some fixes. And I also reuploaded the route twice today while trying to determine if the route was the problem or not. I’m assuming it’s the workshop, although I’d love to know if the route still works for everyone I’m terrified of breaking it haha
Its actually people being impatient. Need to wait for the game to say its installing workshop items before it will appear. Can jump start it by going to Drive >> Workshop in game
