There is already a high-quality TS version of that. https://store.steampowered.com/app/...oodhead_Electric_Railway_in_Blue_Route_AddOn/
I'm pretty sure I own both TS iterations, would still like to see it in TSW though, it is a fantastic route
I own both too, that's why I thought that a TSW2 version of it would be an awesome route, I do prefer the 1st Woodhead Version on TS, but the 2nd newer BR Blue version is just as good, but a TSW2 Woodhead Route with a mixture of passenger and freight, set in 1965-1981 would be awesome. I would certainly buy it, and `I know that there would be a lot of interest in this route too.
I would love to see this route also, but for some people it might appear too similar to Northern Trans-Pennine, particularly if set in the BR Blue era. Personally I would prefer it set in a time similar to the first Woodhead route in TS, with a mixture of steam, diesel and electrics all operating side by side.
I'd like to see the earlier iteration, with Woodhead Line being in its full glory. It was a wonderful route, despite being one of the older TS DLCs. I wasn't too much of a fan of the newer iteration, in BR Blue, with half of the stations closed.
Fantastic idea, bringing British electric locomotives into the game. As it’s basically a closed route it could be done in its entirety.
Class 76 electric locos and Class 506 EMUs. Class 77 DLC and layer in the 8F from SOS! As stated though the fly in the ointment is the broad similarity to NTP though the Woodhead is perhaps a little more rugged than Standege.
to be fair, aren’t London Commuter and East Coast Way very similar, even down to the same units. The 375 in SEH is basically the same as well. Some of the German routes also?
If made TSW 2 players will need to visit TS22 forums for Class 76 since it has a different method operate Here's the TS22 Woodhead in blue manual needs to accommodate console controls for TSW 2 https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic....ic_Railway_in_Blue_Manual_EN.pdf?t=1559815347
I'm sure there woud be the usual comprehensive tutorials available within TSW2. Indeed they are, the German routes especially. In that respect Woodhead would be sufficiently different with the unique traction to be a cut above that.
