The picture says it all (preview is hard to see, click on it for full size image).

Same on other differential signs and with Class 66.

That’s because TSW, or GWE at least, can’t tell the difference between the sort of traction you’re driving or can’t display more than one speed limit at a time. So it always displays the highest speed when there is differential speeds.

It’s pretty silly how this is an issue but hopefully it isn’t still an issue when building newer routes.

Thanks. I'm a complete newb to this game, only downloaded three days ago. It seems like a great sim (except for the "debriefing" screen and scoring which comes across as a hastily added afterthought). Your explanation of how they cocked up is pretty much what I had guessed. Do the devs ever read these forums and fix their mistakes?

What is the speed limit on the section of you are currently on... your speedometer is show 90Mph as the current track. The sign shows the start of the 80mph / 95Mph HST section and will not be applicable till the front of the consist passes the sign.

Not saying DTG has it correct, just stating that the picture does not show conclusive proof of a problem, if you added a picture of the speedometer after passing the marker and the maximum speed would be at 95Mph would be more conclusive.

Whilst what you’re saying is technically correct, the fact is that GWE does not support differential speed limits.

It’ll always show the highest speed limit. For example if you’re driving a Class 66, and there is a speed board displaying DMU 60mph and everything else 40mph, the game will always advise you that your permitted speed is 60mph, which is obviously incorrect.

Good point but the upper right HUD element shows the next speed limit change and the distance to it. I can confirm that the speed limit shown on the aforementioned HUD element is indeed the one applied when passing the sign 38 yards after the screenshot was taken.
