Xc Route - Scenario Loads But Screen Is Black

Looking for some advice please...

Building a standard scenario on XC Route Birmingham - Bristol Extended (from ATS). Scenario is built using the Build > Scenario option from the main menu. Scenario runs fine when it's just the player train. When you add any AI - even just one train - the scenario loads up (blue bar along bottom), but when this disappears, screen is completely black - FPS count at the top is in the 300s. Can hear sounds (weather, train engines etc) but screen is completely black. Cannot 'esc' out of the scenario, nor can CTRL+SHFT+ESC to open Task Manager to leave TSC.

Not getting any OOM errors and can run other scenarios made by other people on this route with extensive AI and no issues running it at all. Seems only to be with scenarios I am attempting to make and once AI is added. With no AI, scenario runs start to finish absolutely fine.

Am I missing anything obvious here? Never had this with any other route? Generally don't have OOM/FPS issues on any other routes?
