The berks and hants line is a route on the great western railway around 96 miles long that starts at reading and ends at taunton, the route should be set before the retirement of the hsts (2017/18) and should feature :
    HST, layered into the route
    166, layered in too
    Class 800/802
    Class 158

With all due respect nobody really pays much attention to these suggestions: You give a TINY TINY bit of info on routes and give a really undetailed rolling stock - I'd recommend instead of mass posting suggestions actually working on your suggestions with detail - Nobody gives much care if you make 10 suggestions a week - Quality is far superior to quantity when it comes to suggestions.

good suggestion but just like what lucasfor49 has said, we would need more infomation then just a short rolling stock list and a very brief descripition of the line.

    Let's do the list:
    Stations
    Detail on trains
    Genuine detail
    Era

Look at someone like traingeeks - amazing example of a good suggestion

You also couldn't do the B&H justice without a Class 59 and wagon fleet for Mendip stone traffic.

    era has been mentioned
this isn’t a wiki page, it’s a suggestions channel, if you want to know more , research at your own risk

    The Borders Railway: Edinburgh-tweedbank:

This is one of my suggestions and as lucasfor49 has said, include detail and mines is a perfect example of the amount of detail that is required for a suggestion to 'sell',

Thats not how a suggestion works - A suggestion is DEATILED KNOWLAGE so if the game developers read it they have a genuine good idea not just This is a one sentence description, some rolling stock yare yare.

That one actually confuses me WHY IS THAT ONE DETAILED BUT THE REST ARENT. But seriously still: Station list and scenarios are a MUST have for suggestions

Okay pause pause pause: You can't REUSE old suggestions expecting nobody to know - That's like asking for necroposting. Just spend 15 minutes researching and detailing suggestions. Its needless to say your arguing over something that takes an hour at most to do - If you truly care about your suggestions like me you'd spend the time to flesh it out.

Station list yes, scenarios are preferable so he doesn't have to do them if he doesn't want to ;)

Yeah scenarios is pushing it a tad but - It is definitely becoming the norm looking at most suggestions.

I'm happy with that but maybe add where they would operate on the route ;)

I'm not wanting to argue with you but my advice is keep your thread layout you have, explain why you think the route would be feasible for TSW, mention rolling stock like you've done and even just do the bigger stations on said route that way it has more detail than this thread :)

Considering how I do not know about railroads in the world, I would rather have suggestions that have substance rather than seeing a map, locomotives and the year and length. I agree with the others. I would like to know why the route should be made, what makes it a good route, what makes it unique as a bonus. To me, lots of the routes are "it's just a route from a to b." I don't know anything about the route or wouldn't even be interested in it. When you are making a suggestion, you have to "sell the route." When I read this suggestion, I just know it goes from reading from taunton, but to me it is just another generic, boring route cuz you didn't provide any more detail. At the very minimum, at least include a short description/history of the route and what makes it a fun/interesting/unique route. You don't have to go into study level detail of everything. But I want to know more than just "here's the route. I want it." So next time you write another suggestion, I would ask that you explain the route so people like me can actually be interested and not ignore it.

I'm kind of sure editing suggestions counts as some form of necro posting if the thread dies out before it - I think posting an upgraded version of it is fine though.

And reading through all the debate above, no matter how detailed, articulate and convincing a case is made, as with 99.9% of the ideas posted here, has about 0.01% chance of DTG being interested in making it, if they even bother to read the thread(s). ;)

Just to weigh in on the debate above, I don't think it matters how detailed a suggestion post is, what matters is the quality and feasibility of the idea for the development team. I doubt many people have a lot of time to make a heavily detailed page ("wiki") based on a route and its history; the research, for all intents and purposes, is the domain of DTG should they think an idea is viable.

I love this idea. I would especially love to blast trains through Pewsey at full speed.

That is true but me, I prefer detailed threads as I make my own threads in that manner but that's my opinion on the matter ;)

This route can be merged with both GWE (if Berks and Hants Line was in like 2016-2017) and WSR.

As always a very good suggestion mate and I would love to see this route appear in TSW.
