Calder Valley Line Manchester Victoria to Leeds City via Low Moor Halifax Bradford Interchange and Summit Tunnel. Northern Rail Class 150 counts to West Cornwall local version achievements.
A dream for me is the best section of the ECML which is obviously the York to Peterborough section and if I am totally honest I would prefer it with Deltics and HSTs but any era would do the job as long as this section comes to the game.
Cross Country Route: Birmingham New Street-Bristol Temple Meads (Modern) with Class 170,220,166, with Class 66,323*,HST being layered trains from other DLCs (* if the rumors are true that Cross City does come to TSW3). This route could offer a nice variety of Regional and Intercity services as well as freight too.
South devon mainline and avocet line: exeter st davids to plymouth and exter st davids to exmouth. 1960s (1962) class 42, 22, 14xx, 54xx, castle, night owl and small praire. ECML London to Peterborugh with Moorgate branch, Hertford Loop and Cambridge Branch (present day) London - Hastings via Sevenoaks and Tonbridge It would be fun to have Thameslink Brighton to Bedford....but this is probably pushing it.
1) St Austell to Plymouth (Looe Valley and Fowey Branch) modern day; GWR Castle Set, Class 150, Class 80x (plus freight from SEHS). Additional DLC: Class 57 with Sleepers and day coaches (can have the Class 57 summer service with day coaches from Par to Plymouth), Class 66 with China Clay wagons, GWR 158. 2) Brighton to Tunbridge Wells West and East Grinstead (via Lewes) and Three Bridges to Tunbridge Wells West 1950s; BR Standard 4 tank, Fairburn Tank 2-6-4, LBSCR E4, SR U Class Mogul.
- ECML South: London Kings Cross/St Pancras Intl to Peterborough - Midland Mainline South: Bedford to St Pancras Intl - West Coastway: Brighton to Portsmouth Harbour (including Littlehampton and Bognor Regis branches) - South London Line: London Victoria to London Bridge (with the extra of having Charing Cross, Waterloo East and Cannon Street for the Southeastern services - plus Thameslink Core as far as St Pancras) - Arun Valley: Three Bridges to Bognor Regis via Horsham (plus Littlehampton branch)
I'm a brummy by birth so would like to see cross city line with 323s and some dorridge/whitlocks end to Stourbridge or Kidderminster running 172s as its a unique train. I now live in scoand and my local route is Glasgow-Inverclyde running 380s and 385 etc, and it has been suggested that the rivet games route could be a Scottish route so who knows
North Downs Line from Reading via Guildford and Redhill to Gatwick Airport and Tonbridge. Rolling stock could be any from Class 206 Tadpole DEMUs, Class 119 DMUs, Class 165/166 DMUs or the latest Class 769 Tri Mode MUs. West Croydon via Mitcham Junction to Wimbledon. Rolling stock could be either Class 416 2EPB EMUs or Class 456 EMUs. Great Western Passenger and Freight Branches... Old Oak Common to Northolt Junction West Ealing to Greenford Southall to Brentford Hayes to Heathrow West Drayton to Uxbridge and Staines Slough to Windsor Maidenhead to High Wycombe and Marlow Twyford to Henley on Thames Reading to Basingstoke Rolling stock could include Class 117/121 DMUs, Class 128 DPUs, Class 205 or 207 DEMUs or Class 165/166 DMUs.
- Hastings to London Charing Cross (375) - Marshlink + the missed out section of East Coastway. Eastbourne to Ashford International (377, 171) - London St Pancras to Dover Priory via Ashford International (375, 395) - Brighton to Portsmouth Harbour (377) - Another London Underground line... I do not mind which one. I would hope for them to be the complete routes and not sliced in half like East Coastway.
BR Blue era Scottish Highlands, either something out of Inverness or a section of the West Highland line. Ideal period Class 26/27 transition to Class 37. Cambrian Coast again in the 80s with various DMUs working the weekday service and at the weekend double headed 25s or 37s on the through Euston services. For freight something based out of Knottingley in the early 90s, with 56s and 60s working heavy coal trains to/from Drax, Eggborough and Ferrybridge. Peak Forest freight plus the passenger services to Buxton. Newcastle to Carlisle. Salisbury to Exeter in the 33/50 transition period. For steam, Somerset and Dorset, Great Central north of Aylesbury. SMJ Blisworth and Olney to Banbury and Stratford. Welsh narrow gauge, combined WHR and Ffestiniog Railway. Many more I could list but those will do as a start.
I like the idea of a lot of those routes but my preference would be 90s onwards dmu's instead, I especially like your first route suggestion tbf
Liverpool to Blackpool via St Helens Central and alternative via Newton-le-Willows Good mix of trains from the local services including Limited Stop during the day between Liverpool and Blackpool which in the evening stop at all stations from Northern, Liverpool to Wigan stopping services from Northern. Liverpool to Preston trains from TPE which run through to Scotland. Avanti London to Blackpool with you driving from Wigan to Blackpool. Liverpool to Manchester trains as far as Newton-le-Willows. Freight from Edge Hill going as far as Preston either via St Helens or Newton. Rail tours from Liverpool to Cumbria being driven as far as Preston.
North London lines Richmond to Stratford Chatham Main Line London Victoria to Dove Proiy WCML South London Euston to Birmingham New Street None of these would go a miss A route expansion or updated version of GWR London to Oxford & the full Greenford branch line considering they did a route expansion of SEH & updated version of Island line 2022
If we're just listing personal wishlists then; Sheffield to Leicester via Derby w/ Nottingham branch extension. Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Piccadilly. York to Peterborough. Sheffield to Cleethorpes via Doncaster. Leeds to Sheffield via Barnsley.
Crewe to Manchester Piccadilly with 319s or 323s though with 323s being on crosscity release 319 would be reasonable maybe a route to trafford park with Freightliner 90s or along those lines
The UK Routes I want included are: 1. Scottish East Coast Main Line: Aberdeen to Dundee 2. Welsh Marches Line: Newport-crewe 3. Portsmouth Direct Line: London Waterloo-Portsmouth Harbour All of these suggestions are super detailed and why I think these routes should feature in TSW3 or future titles of the TSW franchise
Manchester Airport to Lancaster using TPE Class 397s for express and Northern 331s for locals with possible Class 319 and 350 dlcs
-West Coast Mainline South (To Birmingham with Northampton loop) -East Coast Mainline South, Or North(Newcastle- Edinburgh) -Cornish Mainline, South Wales Coastal -Berks And Hants - Midland Mainline -Great Eastern Mainline
In order i would have to say... 1)Elizabeth line, if they cant do it all then Liverpool st - Shenfield 2) c2c (via Upminster) 3) any London underground route 4) if they cant do Elizabeth line ,then GEML
I'm only familiar with the routes I've played in TSC, but a few of my favourites were; - West Highland Line, especially the part over Rannoch - Riviera Line - Woodhead Line (the older one, not the BR Blue era one)
Assuming the new route is Edinburgh to Glasgow QS - - Add Stirling branch lines from both(if not included) - Edinburgh to Dundee inc Fife Circle - ECML Edinburgh to Newcastle inc North Berwick branch line - Chase Valley Line - Trent Valley Line - Riveria Line Yes I know I’m being greedy!
ECML (any part): IC225, Class 800, Class 221, Class 180, HST, Class 331, Class 700, Class 387, Class 717 (most of those trains depending on the area of the ecml) Airedale and Wharfedale lines: Class 331, 333, 158 Calder valley line: Class 195, Class 158, Class 150 Harrogate lines: Class 170, Class 158, Class 800 Leeds to York and Selby: XC HST: Class 195, Class 158, Class 185
Far North Line, West Highland or the Highland Main Line. WH should have functional RETB like in TSC. Leeds-Settle-Carlisle line (Pacer era) Welsh coastal or Welsh Marches Wherry Lines (Norwich to Cromer/ Lowerstoft/ Gt. Yarmouth) [pre resignalling] - 150/153/156/170 era.
Definitely the Merseyrail Network, 75 miles of track (6.5 underground): Class 508, 507 & 777 (coming era when the 777s are introduced). Another one is the branch line from Kirkby station to Stalybridge under Northern, around 50-60 miles: Class 142, 150/2 (150/1 can be dlc?), 156 (2009-2010). And with this branch line, there can be ai services coming into and departing from Kirkby, disappearing into the Mersey network.
1. Crewe to Holyhead 2. Conwy Valley Line 3. WCML (Either modern day or late 70s to early 80s) 'cause of early AC electic locos such as the 86 and 87s also possibly chance of the APT being a seperate DLC 4. ECML (set somewhere between 1960 and 1989) 'cause of ex-LNER classics such as the A4 and A3 (for 1960s ECML), Deltics (ECML set between 1961 and 1981) and Clas 91s (1988-9 ECML) 5. A route set in the East Midlands
Newcastle to York Newcastle to Edinburgh Newcastle to Hexham Tyne & Wear Metro. Currently only 1 north east england route in the game.
•GWE Bristol Temple Meads to Exeter St Davids Inc WSM loop (maybe even include the Tarka Line from Exeter to Barnstaple too if resources permit) - both express services and local stopping services as well as some freight •South West Trains - Exeter St Davids to London Waterloo via Salisbury •Hope Valley Line - Manchester Piccadilly to Sheffield, I grew up around Marple so this was my local line as a kid so would be awesome to virtually drive it •ScotRail Glasgow to Oban •WCML London Euston to Birmingham New Street - we've had mainline routes going out of London south and west so let's go north! Would also enable layers on BCC so BNS has some life to it on that route too
Midland Mainline i would like to see this in the route as London St Pancras In't would get more use. 4 IDEARS IN ONE SO READ CAREFULLY IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME!!! BIG IDEARS! Not saying it should be merged with Southeastern highspeed but im not saying that. im thinking of creating the midland mainline all the way down past bedford for a terminal with EMR Or Past: East Midlands Trains. would be more cool if it was East Midlands Trains as they were better than EMR as EMR Got Rid of the class 43's i would like to see these trains in the route: Class 43 (Different Sounds Please!) Class 222 Branded East Midlands Trains Livery And Unbranded. Class 66 DB And EWS + Freightliner into the route. Railtour's for the possible route, the trains in the railtours could be: Class 47 Class 55 (New Diesel Locomotive?) Class 37 Etc. And As Midland Mainline Thameslink Lines I Would Like to see it going from St Pancras Thameslink To Bedford Just Like Train Sim Classic For Example. And because of the East Midlands Trains ERA being set back couple years till they existed the thameslink trains would be Trains And Livery's | | | | \ / Class 319 There Livery's: White + Blue Doors: Thameslink. White + Pinkish Redish Doors: Thameslink. Ex-First-Capital-Connect livery with the Thameslink logo Pasted over the FCC Logo as that was done in real life. Ex-Southern Unbranded Ex-Southern And Branded Ex-Southern Thameslink. Class 377/5 Unbranded Fcc Thameslink Livery And FCC Lines And Thameslink Logo's Class 387/1 So Ex-Great Northern + Ex-Gatwick Express yes ik theres too many electrostars but it would be nice to have couple more. Class 37 With Tightlock And Deller Coupling locks as to haul the Thameslink trains or EMT Trains to repair works. --------------------------------------------------- Train Miles And Route.. | | | | | \ / The St Pancras In't Could Go To London St Pancras International to Nottingham or etc. Seems far seems like a good route. The Trains would be travelling from London St Pancras International to Nottingham cover a distance of around 107 miles (172 km) during the journey. as we see how the big german route was added when train sim world was released im sure this would not hurt as there is much more longer routes in the game. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Second Version Of The Route But Modern: | | | | | | \ / That's it for me for the midland mainline hope this sounds alright and i was gonna do one due in 2020 when covid was around but as EMR So Bit Like Diesel Legends Of The Great Western But The Midland Mainline 2015. And the up to date Midland Mainline: The Midland Mainline 2020. Trains operator's and Trains In The Route: East Midlands Railway Thameslink EWS Freightliner Class 43 (if you didnt miss EMR With there 43's had a number of amount of livery's so to not pick many i would pick: EX-LNER Coaches With EMR Intercity Branding And Ex-East Midlands Trains Unbranded Coaches With EMR Intercity Logo's The Class 43's Could have a version Of Buffers As they did operator alot around St Pancras In't The Class 43 livery's could be: Ex-East Midlands Trains But With EMR White Logo's (Buffers Or No Buffers) Ex-LNER But With White EMR Stuck over Logo's And Ofc Class 43 Midland Mainline Blue With Yellow EMR Logo's And Final Livery for the class 43: Purple And White With White EMR Logo's ------------------------------------------------------------------- Class 222 This one bit too much to ask for but ill say: Unbranded Ex-EMT Livery with EMR Intercity Logo's And one the same but with No Logo's And Final: Purple And White With East Midlands Railway Intercity Logo's. Consist's can be 7 car 4 car and 5 car. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Class 360 This is a new electric train for train sim world 3. thats if it ever gets added lol. There Livery's Can Be: Blue And White EMR Connect Logo's And Final: Purple And White With EMR Connect Logo's And 2 Unbranded ones featuring: Unbranded Blue class 360 and Unbranded Purple Class 360. Sounds dont have to be perfect but fingers crossed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Class 180 This train has had a short history with EMR So the livery's could just be: East Midlands Railway Intercity With Purple And White Livery! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Modern Thameslink Trains For And From St Pancras Thameslink To Bedford And Bedford Depot. | | | | | \ / Due To The Arrival Of The Class 700 Stock The Class 319's Were Withdrawn from the Thameslink fleet to either be scrapped or given to a other train operator. Trains in the thameslink route: Class 700 Op for Big And Small New Logo! ------------------------------------------------- Class 387/1/2 Ex-Gatwick-Express Ex-Great-Northern With Thameslink Logo's -------------------------------------- Class 377/5 Unbranded Ex-FCC Livery With New White Thameslink Logo's ------------------------------------------------------------- And The Class 319 Railtour can be added but with the only op with 4 coach! 319444. -------------------------------------------------------------- That's it for the midland mainline and i was also talking about a extension to the east coast way and a small extension to the brighton mainline. Starting with East Coastway. I Was Thinking over night about it being extended to Hastings And Ashford In't as that adds a alot of miles to the route as i know this could be done and the southeastern AI Could be at ashford in't and the Charing X Hastings AI. In The Extension to the East Coastway i wanted 1 brand new loco to be added to the route being the: ---------------------------------------------------------- New Trains | | | | \ / Class 171 This would work perfectly with train sim world 3 ----------------------------------------------------------------- London - Brighton Extension: i think the route should be extended to London Bridge As alot more southern and gatwick express services are like bound for London bridge it would make the terminus and route more more fun and If you was to add the Class 171 it would make it playable in Eastcoastway and London Brighton as it would be playful From London Bridge - East Croydon Or South Croydon as thats where it splits off ive seen for my self people would like this and the 171 to be added so fingers crossed And also Extending Reigate To Tonbridge would be a good one or just redhill there idk Tonbridge Reigate redhill would be good. as 377/3's would go good. anyway Hope this all can be possible one day in time sorry for no pictures could not find any as some i searched for and was not there. so hope this is possible!!!! pls pls. Have a nice day - NotDavid
I'd quite like to see a smaller UK route made. Something like an ex-GWR branch line on its last few days in the late 60s. Not sure which one in reality but there were a lot being torn up in the late 60s. Rolling stock would include small passenger trains, short freights and autocoach services. A 14xx tank engine would probably work well here. The route would be small, allowing for the devs to be able to put a lot of functionality to it such as unloading freight trains or herding sheep off the track, as well as better detail in the environment itself. As for scenarios, I'd like to see the very last scenario to be a breakers train that is sent in to tear up the track. Seems to be a fitting end to a railway at its end. Kinda dark though compared to the usual scenarios in other routes, but it is how history went.
So many possibilities - any part of the WCML for a start. But from a more practical point of view considering the kind of length routes they can do in TSW, avoiding really busy links that we don't have stock for, available rolling stock to layer in, and maximising the model repurposing potential, some suggestions are: 1) Fenchurch St - Southend (London, Tilbury & Southend route) with it's unique Class 357, with major freight yards to use class 08, 66, 31, 37, 47 etc The 357 is physically very similar to the 170, 171, some 172s and 168s, so could potentially be remodelled into the diesel counterpart for (which is probably much more complicated than I'm suggesting): 2) Chiltern Mainline eg, Birmingham to Banbury with the 150, 165/166, freight, and XC reliveried HST, 3) Parts of Cross Country east-west route eg Cambridge to Peterborough with the 387 (and maybe up to Kings Lynn) 4) Various Scotrail routes operated by 170s Update: it has since occurred to me that the Fenchurch St - Southen would need a large part of the District line, but we do have the refurbished D stock in the game that perhaps could be the basis for the original D stock...
I love the idea of a ex GWR branch line, especially a well detailed one. But I wouldn't want to see it modelled in its decline but go back to the mid 50's when they were still going strong. Western region steam ended in 1965/early 66 but on branch lines mostly by around 1963 as DMU's/Railbuses had took over.
-East Coast Mainline with Class 55 Deltics (1960s-70s) -Settle-Carlisle -GWR steam-era with Castle-Class, Tank engine (Duck, etc.) and a freight engine -Locos I want: -Class 55 Deltic -Flying Scotsman LNER A3 Pacific -LNER A4 (Mallard and others) -LMS Black 5 -GWR Hall-Class -GWR King and Castle-Classes -Class 70 -Class 60 -Class 59 -Class 50 -Class 57
I agree. It would be great to have more routes featuring British Railways in the better times. I just haven't seen many that do the dark days. A route on the Great Central railway upwards through Leicester and Nottingham would be nice to see made in better days too. I'd also quite like to see a purely industrial route too. Something like a harbourside railway featuring small locomotives and a lot of shunting. Small with high details are the kind of routes I'm interested in lately.
Really Enjoy LGV so I'd love to see another french route. I'd also like to see a modern northern route with a DMU like the 158 or 170
I wouldn’t mind seeing the West Coastway in full - I.e. Portsmouth Harbour/Southampton to Brighton with the branches to Bognor and Littlehampton. The rolling stock (Class 377 & 313) already exist in the game so it’d be easier to produce. Possibly an entire new route such as the Great Eastern Main Line - Liverpool Street to Norwich either a modern version using the class 745 or an older version using the class 90/360.
