    Description
Line 36 was built in 1837-1866 under the Belgian State Railways which was called Chemins de fer de l'État Belge in the French Language while the Dutch Language documentation of the route it’s written as Belgische staatsspoorwegen. From the Dutch Wikipedia L36 is two-four tracks from Bruxelles Nord Dutch Brussel Noord to Leuven (French Louvain) where the two fast tracks Go straight into HSL 2 Leuven Luik In French LGV 2. From Leuven Louvain to Liege via Ans Inclined Plain which is written in French Infrabel documents as plan incliné de la côte d'Ans trains will then descend it towards Liege eventually SKA via L37. During the downhill Ans inclined plane section towards Liege and Köln Hbf on SKA via Aachen Hbf speeds are 70 kmh 45 mph passengers 40 kmh 25mph freight trains. The link is in French Language. Towards Bruxelles Midi Brussel Zuid trains ascend it at 120 kmh 75 mph link is from trainworld.be lang fr. If the locomotive is not powerful to climb a banker locomotive is used between Ans and Liege. The speed limit is 140-160 kmh for except for the plan incliné de la côte d'Ans which is explained above for speed limits both ways. For the line between Bruxelles Midi and Bruxelles Nord dutch Brussel Zuid Brussel Noord it was built in 1952 and carries 6 tracks which then diverge to L25 Brussels Antwerp eventually Amsterdam Centraal and L36 L37 SKA to Köln Hbf. In the liege Area there’s the freight line to SNCB Triage NMBS Rangeerstation Kinkempois which is called L36A to bypass the Ans Inclined plane which itself was opened in 1939 and was electrified in 1955. From the French Wikipedia L36A has a speed limit of 70 kmh and 12.4 km. Overall the route is 116.1 km 72.14 miles. Reason for it it considers L36 99.9km L0 3.8km and L36A 12.4 distance.
    LAMP Process
    Licensing
L36 & L37 require licensing from the Belgian national railways written in French as Société Nationale Chemin du Fer Belge SNCB in the Dutch language Nationale Maatschappij Belgische Spoorwegen NMBS. To gain access for the tracks this requires a separate license from the infrastructure operator Infrabel
    Anticipation
L36 Bruxelles Gare du Midi Brussel Zuid via Leuven Louvain Liège we'll offer the players to experience Belgian versions of the rush hour style gameplay we have seen on Nahverkehr Dresden banking operations seen on CSX Sand Patch Grade & Bahnstrecke Frankfurt am Main Hanau Aschaffenburg Laufach Heigenbrücken Lohr Gemünden am Main Würzburg Main Spessart Bahn. Last part is yard game play at Liège Kinkempois. Overall this is a highly requested route to bring a new country into the game that is not Germany, United Kingdom and the United States which is the Belgian railway system complete with a new train protection system being TBL ETCS Memor II .
    Mix
L36 offers high-speed Intercity services commuter line runs particularly around Brussels and Liège. Followed by freight services running between the two cities eventually reaching Germany using the TSW 2 base route Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen. Furthermore, route can be enhanced by using existing German locomotives that are capable of running into Belgium provided they have been made into the game.
    Prominence
L36 has two of the largest cities in Belgium the capital Brussels and the industrial city of Liège which is actually the first stop in Belgium after the endpoint terminal of tsw2 Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen Aachen Hauptbahnhof towards Brussels. For the twins that are coming in with the route they will offer unique gameplay some of them are capable of mixing with existing German trains this applies to Traxx HLE28.
    Rolling Stock
Since this is going to be made for TSW 3 Tutorials will take place in the Training Centre so are DLC trains

These Belgian electric locomotives were in 1954-1955 coinciding with the electrification of L36 & Freight Line L36A. On this route it will do the banking duty between Ans and Liege on the Brussels bound side this means for any passenger trains that are too heavy to ascend the Ans Inclined plain Brussels bound the HLE 22 must couple to them. After the banking duty HLE 22 NMBS Dutch Language documentation French SNCB Serie 22 will return to Liege downhill. That way Serie 22 HLE 22 acts as the Belgian version of the Main Spessart Bahn 185.2 banking locomotive. Paint Schemes are SNCB/NMBS Blue and SNCB/NMBS Green.

SNCB/NMBS HLE 28 Bombardier Built from 2007-2009 for Mix Traffic duty towards Germany and the Netherlands. Locomotives are equipped with Infrabel TBL Memor II Dutch Prorail ATB EG & NG and DB Netze ÖBB Infra PZB90 & LZB. Comes with B cargo Shimmns TTU Light Green Res Steel Coil transporter the Belgian/German version of a TVL BBA Steel wagon Gbs Boxcar Sgnss Container Wagon shares max speed of 120 kmh like KWG Riesa-Dresden RRO Sggmrss. This locomotive if layered onto KWG if merged with Mains Spessart Bahn will allow players to run Belgium-bound freight from Würzburg to Rohrbach Bbf or Aschaffenburg Hbf via Lohr Bahnhof Nantenbacherkurve in both ways. Tutorial wise in the training center the locomotive should be started from the engine room because that's where the battery isolation switches are instead of using the engine room Corridor lights to start them as seen on its sister versions 185.2 185.5 185.6. Achievement wise HLE28 can count for RSN/Main Spessart Bahn KG 185.2 achievements

The latest SNCB NMBS intercity train was built by Alstom Bombardier from 2018-2021. These Intercity trains come in a formation of regular coaches with the BDx cab car and are powered by SNCB HLE18/19 Siemens. An entirely self-propelled unit if the SNCB NMBS HLE18/19 Siemens is replaced by a BMx cab car complete with Traction units for 3kv DC & 25kv 50hz. SNCB/NMBS HLE16

Built in 1966 by BN Bombardier Transportation Brugges Plant is now owned by Alstom. These are vintage 4 voltage locomotives equipped for 1.5kv DC Netherlands ATB EG/NG & Southern France KVB 25kv 50hz some Belgian lines Northern France KVB Luxembourg Memor II pre-ETCS 3kv Belgium TBL Memor II. Lastly Germany 15kv 16.7hz PZB LZB Sifa. These will serve as the retro train for L37 and SKA if Linked. Retired from NMBS/SNCB service 2007-2010. Can interact with Tharandter Rampe Steam locomotives or future German route steam locomotives if L37 was owned in addition to Riesa-Dresden Tharandter Rampe by replacing the steam locomotives at Aachen Rothe Erde or Stollberg Rheinland yard since SKA is standard for all TSW 2 owners. Portrays a recreation of an Interzone train Brussels to East Germany now running as a railtour trip with matching I10 coaches as a 2nd option. Another option is interacting with my legends of the GDR proposed DLC for DCZ and Riesa-Dresden with HLE16 pulling Deutsche Reichsbahn Y-wagen including the Orange and Cream Stadtseeexpress Rekowagen Restaurant carriage also a railtour by replacing the DR BR243/250 at Aachen rothe Erde or Duren.

Layered Trains from German Austrian and Belgian routes
    DB BR 406 ICE 3M
    [IMG]

Comes in the base game route SKA and for this route, it appears as AI train around Liege and Herengrath stations. Playable if the fast line LGV 3 were to be bundled and Linked together as a Single route.

    HLD 77
    [IMG]
Freight Locomotives that can do both shunting and mainline traffic. On this route, 7771-7870 have TBL & PZB appearing as AI around Aachen & Herengrath areas. Playable if Antwerp-Brussels 9livescat or Kortrijk - Brussels L89 are owned. In these can run Liege Kinkempois to Aachen Rothe Erde Gbf or Liège Kinkempois to Köln Ehrenfeld where all Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen freight ends. On the long term if DTG does make merged routes then HLD77 7771-7871 can run Liège Kinkempois to Hagen Gbf on Rhein-Ruhr Osten if L37 Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen and Rhein-Ruhr Osten are merged by the Köln Wuppertal Steinbeck line via Köln Kalk Rangierbahnhof. Where are portion is split then continues North to Hagen Gbf via Wuppertal Steinbeck.

DB BR 363 & 232 IF RSN or Riesa Dresden is owned then you can use them as banking locomotives on Ronheider Ramp Aachen Sud if needed.

Kjils if KWG is owned with L36 & L37 these can then be run by KWG 185.2 to Aachen Rothe Erde where they are replaced by SNCB/NMBS PZB capable diesel locos. In the case of HLE 28 Bombardier Traxx through running occurs all the way from Brussels via Liege Kinkempois where a portion is split off using the Kjils Sggmrss from KWG.

    OBB Nightjet Sleeper Coach

If Snek's Tauernbahn or my suggestion Westbahn Salzburg-Wien are owned amd combined with this SNCB route. Every 07:47 Aachen to Liege trips & the 20:30 liege to Aachen trips get OBB nightjet coaches pulled by SNCB NMBS HLE18/19 which has replaced the Taurus locomotive DB BR182 family at Aachen Hbf. In the case of the 20:30 Liege to Aachen trip, SNCB HLE18/19 carries the train to Aachen Hbf where it's replaced by a Taurus locomotive.

    Service Pattern
L36 Direct Brussels to Liege trains takes 55 minutes between the two cities. When it comes to Leuven the city is spelt as Louvain in the SNCB French Time table with Bruxelles Rer taking 48 minutes between the two cities. For the Dutch Language NMBS Timetable Luik is the Dutch Spelling for Liege with the Liege Luik S train takes 45 minutes from Dutch-speaking Landen to Liege. Another feature of the SNCB/NMBS L36 services is that DTG employees can use Timetable for a Train Station in the case of L36 they can put in Brussel Zuid Leuven and Liege Guillemins for actual train services.
    Pictures
French Language Wallonia Bruxelles Gare du Midi Dutch Brussel Zuid Flanders. The start point of L36 to Liege and one of the common origin points of L37 Aachen Liege and the TSW 2 base route SKA.

Liege Guillemins Terminal of L36 the Belgian domestic section of Brussels to Cologne high-speed line. The domestic German section of the Brussels to Cologne high-speed line is the SKA Base route for TSW 2 Owners but must be purchased for TSW 3 if TSW 2 is not owned

    SNCB Liege train action

    Final Thoughts
L36 Brussels to Liege via Leuven should be added to the game for various reasons. First off it allows the TSW 3 community to explore Belgium, a country that neighbours Germany and its rush hour railway scenes in Brussels Liege and Leuven including Banker operations at Ans freight yard gameplay with a working hump at Kinkempois. Additionally, it introduces TSW 3 multilingual announcements which are Dutch and French which are said on SNCB/NMBS EMMA. Furthermore, L36 is designed to be modular by using the common origin point system by using Brussels Midi or Koln Hbf as the origin points if the need to merge it with my other suggestion L37 and TSW 2 base route SKA TSW 3 purchase is required. That way L36 combines DRA SKA SPG MSB and the busy BML with a Belgian flavour making it the new king of the busiest route in the game. To Sum it up L36 Brussels (Bruxelles/Brussel) Leuven (Louvain) Liege (Luik) will be the busiest route in TSW 3 complete with Belgian Trains and German/Dutch trains capable of running Infrabel TBL Memor II & ETCS in return L36 gives Belgian Trains equipped PZB for German and Austrian Routes as a new layer. Code wise 3.XBDK-R7 00

Me too SNCB is used in the French Speaking Part of Belgium. In the case of L36 it goes through the Dutch part of Belgium where it's called NMBS.

However, it ends in Liège (French) / Luik (Dutch), which is the capital of the French-speaking Wallonia part of Belgium. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liège

And then there's Bruxelles (French) / Brussel (Dutch) / Brussels (English) which, as far as I know, is basically a mix of the two languages.

    Weird country it is...
NMBS / SNCB is one and the same company as far as I know.

Find your answer helpful however the same thing also applies to Electric multiple units Automotrice AM MS Motorstel Dutch. The big question is this can the game handle Brussels Midi Leuven & Liège. Otherwise it will be the international version of BML 8th gen issue

The big question is can DTG handle a country that's not the UK, US or Germany...

I would say they can if they are willing to do it best example for this is actually making Brussel Zuid Brussel Noord Leuven Luik Aachen Hbf. The combined L36 & L37 and then merging it with Schnellfahrstrecke Köln Aachen. Remember in 2020-2021 suggestions they are actually mentioning Brussels to aachen. In my opinion that's how they can expand outside the big tree US UK & Germany and using one of them as an international route into a new country. Provided they are willing to copy Simrail which has Görlitz Moys (Zorgolec) Görlitz Dresden Hauptbahnhof/Dresden Flughafen as it's very first International route. On train simulator classic they are familiar with International routes but not this game that is why they should do Aachen Hbf Brussel Zuid Leuven Liège Germany to Belgium.

Excellent suggestion this will give a new perspective on what high speed trains can be too.

Although freight trains run through Leuven, they normally never use line 36, which is really only for travelers and high-speed trains. The freight trains that run through Leuven go to Aarschot and then to Hasselt or Antwerp. I don't know whether they also use the railway line 37
what I do have that might help are these freight service that are very common in Belgium

From Leuven to Antwerp / usual freight traffic
    53
    27B
    27A
    27
    11

    From Leuven to Hasselt

    35

    Hasselt to Antwerp
    35
    16/1
    27
    27B
    53

Those last three may not be 100% correct in the prescribed trajectory

    Leuven - Quévy Frontière (France)

    139/1
    139
    140
    117
    96/1
    96

    sdfs.jpg

For the most part, the trains coming from Aachen (Germany) run via the railway line 24 "Tongeren - Aachen West"
    Montzenroute Antwerpen - Aken

    11
    27A
    15
    16
    35
    34
    24

could also put in a very small part of it that from Aachen to Montzen depot not very much. However, all goods Services can then be driven from Aachen.

Thank you for the information and I wonder why they don't use L36 for Brussels Liège Kinkempois Formation? Because a Brussels to Germany freight train needs to combine with one that is supposed to run Liège Kinkempois Hagen Vorhalle/Passau/Nordenham which you can run to Hude Bremen Oldenburg in reality Wunderline Bremen Oldenburg Groningen 173km.

no problem it's my pleasure to be able to contribute to this great suggestion.
Perhaps there are still exceptions. As far as I have already taken the train there on that line, I have never seen one,
only passenger trains. The only logical reason I can think of is that freight trains are diverted via Mechelen, as there is also a large cargo depot there in Muizen. And then via Vilvoorden to Schaarbeek. Freight trains do run through Mechelen. It is a fact that passenger trains always have priority over freight trains in Belgium.
It could be perfectly possible that very occasionally these freight trains run on railway line 36, Like very occasionally.

Thanks for the info but I had it here as DLC locomotive due to it's predecessors HLE16 & HLE18 Alstom running Bruxelles Gare du Midi Liège Aachen Köln Hbf from the 1960s to their retirement in the 2000s

Not sure of your source but it is wrong.
When the old HLE 16 (8 locos) & HLE 18 (6 locos) were withdrawn they were replaced by the new HLE 18 (96 locos)

Since she will come after 2025 she won't have TBL2 (probably)... Also the front will have a other design, thats why she's delayed for atleast 2 years deff!

But great suggestion! We can see freight layers & BR 406 layers onto the route indeed and we can have some amazing SNCB stock (AM96, HLE18, M6 and more!)

I don't currently play TSW but I did in the past until DTG changed things for the worse.
I was pointing out that something that was supposed to exist in the real world did not.

That is what I intend this route to be and there are Belgian locomotives capable of running onto German and Austrian PZB routes. SNCB Automotrice 96 layer to any Northern France KVB routed that see Belgian trains

You are now making things up as you go along.

There are some SNCB locos of the same design as a DB BR186 so they can go to other countries.
The HLE 18 is the only true SNCB loco that is fitted to work on 15kvAC and is only passed for Germany - not Austria.

Locos and units can only work in other countries IF they have been Passed and are Fitted with the required Signalling Systems
Some SNCB 96xx Emus are fitted for working over French 25kv Ac as they work thru to Lille Flanders

    HLE18 doesn't has 15Kv. Only 25Kv (LGV, Luxembourg & Germany), 3Kv (Belgium), 1,5Kv (North of France & The Netherlands

Only HLE28/29 that are both TRAXX' can run there since they have PZB. No stock that runs here from SNCB beside HLE28/29 does not have PZB, no need for that.

You are right about not having the 15kv for Germany.
The loco was originally going to have 15kv but a change in the specs took that away

"Siemens therefore decided to reduce the weight of the transformer, by leaving out the possibility to run under 15kV AC catenary, and by configurating it for a lower duration power output of 6.000 kW (3kV DC and 25kV AC) and 2.500kW (1,5 kV DC) compared to 6.400 kW which seems to have become a standard for modern Siemens electrics."
    From https://www.elektrolokarchiv.de/index.php?nav=1405006&lang=1

I don't think the locos can run in the Netherlands apart to the border stations, Roosendaal & Maastricht.
And I don't think the locos have TVM as they don't run on the line towards France and the line to Liege and Germany has TBL 2/3

If the HLE18 uses 3Kv on 1.5Kv (The Netherlands) it can run easily, just with 50% traction instead of 100%. All SNCB stoff (AM86 & AM75 these days) do it like that. TVM is only at the high speed lines, HLE18 has memor 1 and 2 & KVB so it can run there, but rarely do. Our AM96 4XX go to France

Neither is there TBL3 btw :D

Can't they convert the VECTRON into a EuroSprinter HLE 18/19 so it would be supper cool to be able to experience it together with a Desiro ML in Belgium.

Finding something more fascinating, never expected it to be on
the internet. Many of the signals are based on or the same as in known countries. I'll put the pictures
at the bottom, as an addition to your suggestion.

If you look in the cab of a normal Vectron the driver sits on the right. - this is the RSSLO version
    193.jpg

If you look in the cab of the NMBS 1800 the driver sits on the left. - This is the SK Trains HLE 18

    sktrains-hle18-19-.jpg

If DTG were to release the Vectron with the wrong cab, pantographs and other incorrect features they would get laughed at by the community.

Looks like the Nahverkehr Dresden DR OSShd signals which might make it a steep learning curve

You are absolutely right: No one would do such a thing now, there is nothing wrong with taking the present and starting from there. Many game studios do it this way as every aspect of a game is usually started from an existing part.
: Except for the control desk with its own details. Can it still be said on the Locomotive of all the rest is largely the same or am I so wrong-?
I just wanted to say the developers don't have to start completely from scratch. When you look at the model and screens there is much more time to save. The point of view is just to say that Belgian material cannot be as time consuming as other trains / routes from standard countries. To give this one a chance

So what you are saying is reusing the Train Locomotive chassis and then modifying the cab layout

They look similair but in fact they just cannot use vectron's model for HLE18. There are way too many differences for that.
Can confirm by seeing Vectron & HLE18 standing by each other :D
