I'm pretty sure that we already have viewliner sleepers. I believe they came with the Miami - West Palm Beach Route. https://store.steampowered.com/app/277752/Train_Simulator_Miami__West_Palm_Beach_Route_AddOn/
The new CAF Viewliners are being developed, the baggage car is already available here https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c1-train-simulator/c87-models. There's a thread in RWA about the rest of the fleet.

Let's address this bit by bit. This would replace IHH. Something I posted about once. Also joined this thread. It's a popular request given the IHH models no longer are available. Won't happen until a route going west of Suburban Glasgow is done. I have posted about this regarding the Inverclyde Line, suggested in that thread. I did also post a thread somewhere suggesting other routes on the network, such as to Ayr, the Paisley Canal (which also uses the 380 and 318), and the full route to Stranraer (which is served by the 156). Back to the Inverclyde Line, Cardonald is seen as the first station on the Inverclyde, and is passed for all services on the network, so the Inverclyde would be a great excuse for a 318 since it's the only one used there. A must for Suburban Glasgow services. Given Iain had the route to Bathgate and up to Cumbernauld from Springburn under his huge megamerge route, I had a guess that the Bathgate route would be coming with the 334. We will see, but Rivet seems more focused on TSW2 of late, which means one less developer making routes for us here. And no 334. There is a 334 on UKTS, however, skinned to another train (and thus not looking totally proper, but they tried). Not sure about this one. I haven't advocated for it myself, so more info could help. A UKTS freeware pack provides five TPOs (previously posted separately on UKTS). I have no records in my installation of over 300 DLC and some freeware stuff of any PDAs or PTAs, though I have seen iron ore tipplers in a freeware pack that I have yet to install. Even some Mermaids. In any case, screenshot of the free TPOs, in NSA and NSX forms: More might be available outside of the pack. You'll need to give examples here and could put them directly into Route Suggestions. Not against more American representation being from Canada myself. These licenses are harder to get. Norway would be nice to visit, and I know there are many videos from Norway - particularly the Oslo area - courtesy of TrainThor, so it's easy for DTG or a developer to reference them as they work along the route then just license a train for it (maybe the very one TrainThor drives, which looks like a holodeck as you enter).
This is news! Will mean the freeware ST 318 (based on a freeware 317) and the reskins of the 455 (Scotrail’s looks amazing) will fall out of use at UKTS, not to mention removed from some stock packs to promote the new product, but being able to stick a good product into the old scenarios over them is not necessarily bad, either.
May have gotten the designation wrong, but was thinking of the Heritage DMUs that among other things operated Carlisle - Barrow until the early-mid 1990s. I know. They're really starting to look their age, though
I think you are correct there - it was in the mid 1990s that the trains became Pacer and Sprinter services[
I'd like to say something about this part here- With the Inverclyde Line being my local line, I find it safe to say that the 318 is not the main loco on this line, in actual fact it's fairly uncommon. The Inverclyde Line sees Class 380, 320, 318 and 385/314 (depending on when) services. The 318 is lesser than the 380. The 318's "home" route is the Argyle Line - which is on both WCML North and Suburban Glasgow Northwest.
The 318 and 334 would both be usable on the WCML-N, AFAIK. The 318s went onto Argyle sometime after privatisation, I think?
I might have been referring to old info, then. Was it at one point the main loco as I thought I read? Wikipedia does confirm 380s, 320s, and 385s also roam here. Since two of those are in the game, even more reason for DTG to go here. Even if only to add the already used 320, though I'd hope we can get a 385. I also now know GU Studios is doing a 318, so seeing about having a skin exclusive to the Inverclyde and Paisley Canal and not in the future AP pack might be an idea. I also did know about 318s on the Argyle. I will have to see about earmarking future services there for the merged route that Iain is redeveloping based on the now payware Suburban Glasgow (a freeware version used to exist) and may have to make items for it.
That one's beyond me. The 318s at the start of their lifespan mostly ran on the Ayrshire Coast Line - or part of it - with services on the Inverclyde Line, but not the main loco. The Class 311 (similar to the 303) was built for the Inverclyde Line when it was electrified, but phased out 4 years after the 318 entered service - leaving in 1990. After then- the "main loco" became hazy for a good while. Then the 334*, 380 and 314 (not in order) all came into the frame for that title. *334 was later replaced on the line by the Class 380
Neat. So it would not be wrong to see the 314 in dated scenarios on the route. I am aware the class is retired now, however, but recall a scenario made for the Suburban Glasgow merge where you actually drive one to meet a Class 37 to haul it the rest of the way to the scrapper. It's even one of the ones damaged in a flood in the 90s. Neat scenario. Looking at services today, it seems to be mainly Class 156 and Class 380. We have both classes, so having the route seems like a no-brainer, especially if the 318 can be brought up officially with it. I know GU Studios is working on a 318 for an AP product, so as I noted, having a skin exclusive to a route project would be nice. The AP pack is likely its own 317, however, so I can't comment that other skins would operate in the Workshop if this occurred.
A couple that would be on my wish-list: Norfolk Southern's Southern Tier Line (Buffalo - Binghamton, NY or even all the way to Croxton, NJ). CSX's (ex-NYC) route from Buffalo - Selkirk, NY
