Hi, after enjoying making my two BR Blue on PFR scenarios about a month ago, I thought seeing as I have got today off and nearly got through the list of jobs I would create a couple more scenarios inbetween playing about with other CC scenarios for the 700.

So then I thought it would be great if I could start making a list of my scenarios for mostly my benefit but also your benefit if you like what I do. I will set it out similar to the 700 CC scenarios thread but instead of recommendations I may put the amount of people who have subscribed to it. I will also use my new skill whch is linking a post with some sceeenshots of the scenario and basic details. In wll honesty I would like to thank both TrainGeek08 and tft#6439 as they gave me the inspiration for the thread layout and 1dart Mart for giving me inspiration to make more scenarios. Sorry for the tags but this part of the forum is like a rabbit warren and I don't want you to miss my genuine thanks. Another thing is please, please, plesse give me genuine feedback if you have any as I am by no means a professional at making scenarios so could do with help and ideas!

BR Blue on Peak Forest: Sneaky Peak to Buxton.
This scenario involves you driving from Ambergate to Buxton in BR class 45/1 (Peak) with a rake of Mk2s stopping at Matlock and Millers Dale on the way. I have included plenty of AI and it's not strictly based on a specific year or service pattern as it is literally the first scenario I have ever made so I didn't want to complicate things!
It took me about 40 minutes to complete.
There are no custom liveries needed
    The required DLC is:
    • Peak Forest Railway
    • Northern Trans-Pennine
    • Tees Valley Line
    • BR Heavy Freight Pack
    • BR Class 31
    • Diesel Ledgends of the Great Western
    • Class 20

    Here is the CC link.

    Add here are my screenshots:

Thanks, and I hope you enjoy the scenario if you play it, and of course please do leave me some feedback!

BR Blue on Peak Forest: Peak on Peak Forest North
This scenario involves you driving from Ambergate to Chinley in a BR class 45/1 (Peak) with a rake of Mk2s stopping at Matlock and Millers Dale on the way. I have included plenty of AI including something infront of you (make sure you learn your semaphores). Like the previous one it's not strictly based on a specific year or service pattern as it is the 2nd scenario I have ever made so I didn't want to overcomplicate things after only just managing with my first!
It took me about 60 minutes to complete.

    BR Blue Peak on MML.
This scenario involves you driving from Nottingham to Leicester in a BR class 45/1 (Peak) with a rake of Mk2s stopping at Loughborough on the way. I have included plenty of AI and it's very loosely based in the late 70s early 80s but not based on a real world service pattern.

It's gorgeous, I enjoyed testing the PFR ones but haven't played them since really, but this one HUDless gives me my dose of diesel everyweek. I am trying to get to the ton but there isn't quite enough distance.

The sound does bring back some real almighty memories though!

I did not do much on the midland but as you say it does bring back memories but in real life that rake would be better as it is not air cons.

I lived along the ECML but my Grandparents lived in Loughborough so I spent many happy hours sitting there on the platform with my Father/Grandfather who were both railwaymen themselves. Yes it would be lovely to get more variation in the coaches in game, even if it was started off by adjusting the Mk1s and making a buffet! :D

Good to see you getting your creations out there Matt! I can definitely recommend Sneaky peak to Buxton as it was the first one I did. There really is loads of AI and it’s a great little run, not too short not too long. If you like Diesel you’ll love these routes.
Looking forward to completing the others buddy, now I have GWE back :)

Love this idea matt#4801 mate, thanks for the shoutout as well :)

Would be great to try creating some modern scenarios as you get more confident in Scenario Planner or maybe starting to make liveries in Livery Designer for use in your scenarios :)

Thanks mate, like I say that feedback you gave did really push me to do it. I hope you enjoy them!

No problem mate, I do like what ypu ddo with your creations and have played a few myself, I may look into using custom liveries at somepoint but they wouldn't be mine. I was thinking about doing some modern stuff and actually you have just given me an idea for a scenario I can do!

BR Blue Duff on the MML.
This scenario involves you driving from Nottingham to Leicester in a BR class 47 (Duff) with a rake of Mk2s stopping at Loughborough on the way. I have included plenty of AI and like the Peak scenario it's very loosely based in the late 70s early 80s but not based on a real world service pattern.
It can take about 40 minutes to complete depending on your driving style.
There are no custom liveries needed
    The required DLC is:
    • Midland Mainline
    • Northern Trans-Pennine
    • Tees Valley Line
    • BR Heavy Freight Pack
    • Diesel Legends of the Great Western
    • BR Class 31

Hey buddy, did this earlier but I’m currently stuck on a red signal 1.5 miles from Leicester, along with a class 101 by my side. Checked the map and there’s a train on red ahead waiting to go into station. Thing is, can’t see any other trains and the lines are clear? Tried contact signaller, denied. Waited 15 mins, then saved and came out of it.
Strange, or is it something I’ve done ?

Ok, there should be a short wait but not 15 minutes. I am just testing the 700 scenario and then I will fire up this one and work it out. It may be that you were running later than I was and so the dispatcher has prioritised another train. I will let you know how I get on. Thanks for letting me know!

It’s probably me buddy, I’m not a fast driver at the moment. Taken hud off and just using destination marker and next signal. Immersive but scary lol

No it's not your fault mate. If it's anyone's fault it'll be mine because although I ran through it three or four times I didn't really counter in people driving slower/less confident than me. I am just firing up the service now, and I'll try and drive a bit slower than usual!
Also you can't beat HUDless driving, its very immersion building!

Yeah I think i have found the issue. Both the player train and that dmu are routed onto the same platform I think, I will change that and let you know when I reupload it. Again, thanks for letting you know and sorry for not properly testing it.

700 Problems at Once Part 1.
A day later than I had planned my class 700 scenario is finally here. I thought i would do something slightly different that the majority and actually run the 700 on ECW, however it seems I was not alone in thinking that so it may not be too different. Nonetheless this run involves you driving a class 700 to Seaford with passengers alighting at Lewes due to a tree falling across the Brighton Mainline meaning you are not the only train having to divert. This is not based on a real life event and I am not sure how much of the route Thameslink drivers sign in real life, I think they at least sign up to Lewes, not sure about beyond, and is set here and now.

The scenario should take about 40 minutes and requires NO custom liveries.

    The required dlc is:
    • East Coastway
    • Brighton Mainline
    • BR Class 700
    • ROG BR Class 37/7
    Here the Creators Club link.

    And here are my screenshots:
    90aea552-9388-4c95-b8be-a7b1929f0dd5.jpeg bb13e723-11f5-44fc-84d0-88df58f9dace.jpeg d8ef2c10-3d4f-442f-835f-cb13dec0f294.jpeg 267b117f-7091-454f-b7d9-818161119345.jpeg

Again, please do give feedback because as prooven above it is useful, for me and you. Enjoy!

It looks good mate, but I'd cut it short at Lewes as Thameslink leave Platform 3 at Lewes, pull forward until the train is across the points and shunt into Platform 2 at Lewes to head via Plumpton and Cooksbridge to join the BML at Keymer Junction (Wivelsfield), other than that, it looks good :)

I did suspect that but thought that would be a bit short and the scenery down Seaford way is rather nice to see from the big window.
Lets roll with that my planning is one of the 700 problems!;)

Haha, yes as I said in another thread I would have no idea what to do if I worked in one of the control rooms!

Hopefully I will get part 2 of 700 problems at once out tomorrow after I finish work (not before if you read it before I realised my mistake), providing all the testing goes as planned.

Looking forward to that buddy. I don’t mind waiting, you’ve got to put your train before um, …..your other trains!;)

Haha, yes apparently it is more important to get the real paying passengers to their locations than the virtual passengers I am paying to carry around! I am going to ring the grandkids up and get them on the testing as they are coming over my house to see me go by this afternoon and they'll have nothing else to do. I'll still do a couple of runs to double check, but if my name has changed again you know why! ;)
Hopefully this will mean I'll be able to get it out before 7 o'clock.

I wonder what name they will come up with next lol I’m out tonight but I’ll be on it tomorrow, expecting big things to match the 9/10 I gave you last time :)

I dread what they will think of next. I think in all honesty part 1 is better as the amount of AI I can fit in is not as much due to the limited paths. I have still enjoyed it though so hopefully you will too. :)

I´ve just purchased Peak Forrest in the ongoing PS sales. But before I even got close to the steam beasts (I´m a steam virgin), I drove a BR Diesel scenario from you, just for sight seeing on that brand new route. Thanks for setting this up! I really enjoyed the heavy 101 traffic and other. Keep `em coming. :)

On a side note: This is such a beautifully modelled route, it´s crying for some rusty iron from a bygone era. I won´t understand why DTG isn´t elaborating (and catchiiiiing-ing) on this?!

Agree, I bought Peak for the same reason. Matts scenarios were perfect for getting to know the route. I’m loving the 700 scenarios at the moment but I’m a Diesel fan at heart. There’s no such thing as “too much Diesel” lol ;)

I am really glad you enjoyed it mate, you can see the route much better from the diesel cabs. I think I might just make another diesel scenario for Peak forest as they do seem well received. Thanks for taking your time to play and feedback on the scenario.

Yes these 700 scenarios are alright but I can't wait to start testing my next one. I suppose I could give you a quick peak or tees about the scenario.

700 Problems at Once Part 2.
Part 2 of my my class 700 scenarios is finally here. This return run in another unit from London involves you driving a class 700 from Seaford with passengers getting back on at Lewes due to a tree falling across the Brighton Mainline meaning you are not the only train having to divert. Sadly due to limited scenario planner paths means there is slightly less AI in this scenario compared to part 1 though it is busy still so keep your eyes peeled on the signals. This is not based on a real life event and I am not sure how much of the route Thameslink drivers sign in real life, I think they at least sign up to Lewes, not sure about beyond, and is set here and now.

The scenario should take about 30 minutes and requires NO custom liveries.

    The required dlc is:
    • East Coastway
    • Brighton Mainline
    • BR Class 700
Here is the Creators Club link

    And here are my screenshots:

Please give me any feedback and I hope you enjoy the scenario.

Not a mountain, actually the name of the route is the exact opposite to a mountain. If you are so desperate to play golf there is a golf course in the town the route ends up, though it is only mini golf by the sea.

No, no, I did get it I couldn’t think of anything funny to reply so I went with Peak/Mountain and tees/golf
Sorry, I’m so stupid sometimes lol :)

Ah well at least there is something a bit more definitive if someone didn't get it. To be honest I didn't even see the smiley faces. Hopefully I'll get it out before I go to Devon on Monday.
