DTG JD What happened to the red light issues, why have they disappeared from the roadmap? In March, you said that the outstanding red light issues would be handled on a case-by-case basis. I notice that you kept derailing improvements and Save Game improvements on the roadmap, but nothing about red light issues. Do you still stand by your "80 to 85 percent" estimate from last roadmap stream? Because the feedback thread is filled with issues, on many routes.
might make it if you include the Blackpool south branch, and the remains of the Fleetwood branch. It also refers to a seasonal timetable so I guess that would make sense with Blackpool. I wonder what the loco is?
They never committed to those. Only had an aspiration. Aspirations and doing it are 2 different things.
1. Why only ONE freight service on the MML? 2. Why is the DB/EWS depot at Toton not included on the MML?
Why isn't there any mention of North American routes or locos for the foreseeable future? The Roadmap seems geographically unbalanced.
What's included with the post release patch for the loco pack 2? There is a significant stutter in between bell "Rings" on the Cajon Pass SD40-2, SD70ACe, and New Jersey Transit Cabcar. Are these addressed in the new fixes or is this something you are unware of?
To be honest, too much time has now passed for London Commuter to just be getting rush hour passengers enabled - it will be 2 years this year since London Commuter was on sale and thus I see it a pointless endeavour and waste of resources. Instead, please just focus on actual gameplay being better and thus let London Commuter get more optimisation and then a TOD 4 update as priority instead of rush hour passengers; and ideally get the 700, even if just a minimal amount of services with the 700/0 for London Commuter as per reality, it's certainly better than nothing! Is it not too much to ask for a brand-new loco in TSW to be with a route it's so synomous in real life?! The 700 will be good with SEHS no doubt, but certainly not the same without London Commuter so I ask DTG to reconsider such decision. As such, I have a new question for the thread: Q: What makes some routes deemed suitable for a TOD 4 update and others not? Why just the one Rush Hour route so far, what about London Commuter (LC) and Dresden-Riesa? If it's due to new DLC, why not LC considering the 700 is one of the most requested loco DLCs for TSW of all-time?
Probably cuz it's not in a state where they know for sure what's being made. Things are in various stages of development so you won't always have a dlc for each country in every monthly roadmap.
I saw nothing on the Roadmap about the problems some of us have with not being able to subscribe to anything on Creators Club even though we have less than 100 subscriptions. I know I’m not the only person who had this problem. Also any update on the problem with not getting full access to CC online as I mentioned to you on messages DTG JD ?
My question was directed to DTG. If you don't know the real answer, and how could you unless you're part of the development team, why post an incoherent one?
He's always answering for DTG. If he doesn't work there and not being paid for his "work" on these forums, he definitely wishes he was.
The bad news is again the delays in releasing the bug fixes and improvements by the special projects team. Is there any progress in improving the release process? What are you working on in that respect? As the number of DLC is increasing it will be far more difficult to publish game updates so clearly something must be done to make releases fast and easy. My second question. Clinchfield still has a number of gameplay issues, especially for the main line drives. When will these be fixed? Now you cannot even complete the journey and I think we are entitled to have a working product at least, even after Brexit. Last question: any news on scenario planner? Scenario planners was created in great haste with the promise of a second and better version. Now, some years later nothing seems to happen and it sucks so much that I do not even want to use it. From day 1 when TSW was released content creation tools are promised and this promise is broken to many times already. Scenario planner was on the roadmap for a short period of time, but removed and then we did not hear anything about it again. Please have a look at the scenario planner for TS Classic. If we can get something like that, I really would be happy. The alternative, to be gracious with devleoper licenses, another promise Matt did, is not fulfilled either. Is there any progress on that topic?
On SEHS, will there be AI 700 trains on the stretch between the tunnel to St Pancras lower and the ECML seen when you enter the tunnel to Stratford?
Agreed. Not sure where that's cropped up from. Of all things, it's probably the least 'new' thing on the Roadmap. Will amend for next time.
Being investigated, but we've yet to determine the source of the issue, as it doesn't seem to be impacting everyone.
Unfortunately, it's not a case of simply extending a route or adding additional locos; these all take time and are outside of the scope of the project. We believe the decisions made will still provide a great experience, encapsulating the content that will provide really good gameplay options and the 'feel' of the route. Level crossing issue I believe is encompassed in the post-release fixes for the respective route, but would need to check.
I've answered something similar previously in the thread, but copy-pasting here: This is Skyhook's first passenger timetable, so they've been wrestling with the systems to ensure the passenger experience is as good as it can be. It does leave opportunities to add more freight in the future, and I've passed the feedback to Skyhook. This is what it will be released with, though.
unfortunately no as the 700 special liveries are on the /1s and we’re getting the /0s. Although i imagine many people will make them in livery editor including myself
Good day all, You mention the prominence of the planned route being important when choosing routes to add to the game, as well as interest, length etc. In which case do you have plans to include rolling stock of the London Overground to your game at some point? Arguably as iconic to London as the Underground, and of course London is known by everyone around the world. Also well researched for TSC. With regards to layering using trains already in-game, including the much anticipated Class 700 of T/L, I would suggest a good initial choice would be the East London Line, either from West Croydon or Crystal Palace (ideally both) to Highbury and Islington (the natural termination point of these services prior to changing). A portion of this line also run underground between Surrey Quays and Shoreditch High Street, though the majority is above ground. Incidentally Whitechapel is unique as it's the place where the Overground runs under the Underground!! When the Class 378 Capitalstars emerge from Whitechapel there is a very iconic view of the City skyline which I think would look great with your admirable graphics engine. On the East London line this 378 would complete the set of all rolling stock to include Southern and SE services. It's a mouth watering thought to think of completely stocked route! Thank you.
The roadmap always goes in rotations. NA got three DLCs in February, Germany got two last month, now, after the Cornwall Railtour, it's the UK's turn again. The US/NA will return in due course, I'm sure.
Nice to see that the remaining TSW2 pres. crew work is looking closer to release. Haven't seen any mention of the derail bug fixes for TSW2, though. Any progress there?
With respect JD, that is a rather sweeping statement. This issue is impacting ALL Xbox Series console players (and maybe XB1 but I don’t have one to test). Unless you sit down and regularly play TSW3 on the console, it probably seems like an unimportant trivial issue that will hopefully go away on its own if you ignore it long enough. However, the degradation of sound quality (very low quality audio with crackles) of assets in TSW3 that were fine in TSW2 has to be heard to be believed. From a player perspective it is actually difficult to believe the v3 was even allowed to be released in that state. Let me reupload some examples and share when I get some time (unfortunately the samples I shared a while back are no longer online).
(The red text is the actual question I’m asking) In February's roadmap, it was mentioned that Peninsula Corridor's Cab Car selectable issue wasn't being focused on yet because the focus was on releasing the Addons Manager. Now that PS4 and PS5 have the Addons Manager, which IIRC were the two platforms that really needed it, does the Baby Bullet fix still need to wait for every platform (Xbox and PC) to receive the Addons Manager before it starts to get worked on? It's just that the Peninsula Corridor bug has existed since TSW 3's release last summer, and the Oakville Passenger Timetable was showcased on a roadmap stream 17 months ago in November 2021 and we still don't have it. It'd just be a bit of a letdown to still have to wait for every platform to get Addons Manager before Peninsula Corridor and Oakville get looked at, which is why I'm wondering the above.
But this has already been answered. They will come, just not at release because skyhook have not made a passenger route yet and this took alot of their time and skill to get right. Would rather no freight over bugged passenger
I'll be honest, I'm not sure what the prerequisites are here for it; whether it's a UI improvement which would then be impacted by the Add-ons Manager change, or if it's a 'dev team focus' discussion. At any rate, the Add-ons Manager infrastructure will need to come to all platforms as having two separate back-end systems for our game is not something we can maintain longer-term. When Matt is back from his holiday, I'll check in with him on this one.
Still a little too far away for that kind of discussion (I don't know myself!); I'd imagine assuming a similar price to the Acela is a good starting point though.
Thanks for replying to all these questions, especially seeing as a lot of ppl asked the same questions Hope you’re having a great easter
Another speculative answer. A glance at the two most recent Roadmaps doesn't show such a balanced " rotation ". I really wish people would refrain from answering questions directed to DTG. (Unless, of course, they actually know the answers [ they would have to be on the dev team] or can quote an official source).
The rotation does balance out in releases. February was the US (3×, all DTG) March was Germany (2×, incl. TSG) April into (probably) May will be the UK (MML, Peak Forest) and then it will probably go quiet in the build up to the Summer (September) Big Release, which usually covers all three countries.
Oh Alright, that's all my questions, when we get closer to the summer i.e towards the end of this month and over during next month and then at the start of June all my questions will be answered, thank you and have a good Easter!
For Class 700/0 will that have SEHS Depot moves and later on layer to BML once the memory optimization for that route occurs because the proper Depot for it is Three Bridges. Future proofed MML South.
The routes price is what it has been since tsw3 launched. And loco dlcs like the acela, well only the acela for now saw a small increase in price as well to account for inflation.
Whilst the cost of living in the UK is excelerating out of control, I cannot see DTG increasing the price of DLCs for the remainder of this year.
Not really. But I'll leave it there. Maybe I'll ask DTG the question again after the next Roadmap. And, who knows, maybe I'll get an answer. Have a good day.
Well my question about the broken sound of the BR 187 was ignored I’m not surprised maybe it’ll be fixed in TSW6. I feel like DTG doesn’t really want to talk about it the only information for nearly a year and a half is “audio fix for BR187”
