TOP TSW route! Nice that the 111 will be included (and that livery...). We'd even have a whole dedicated stock roster! Very, Very good TSG! The Uic-Zs are a little touch of class (I'm a huge fan of TEE and international trains). I hope to see some Schlierenwagen or Uic-X (M-Wagen) in the future, with a new loco (140-141 or 1042-1044 DLC?)!

I'm unlikely to get the green 104 as I'm just not a fan of steam era routes. ( A reason why yards at Carlisle are empty for me on JT's WCML route as I don't want to purchase a steam-era route I'll never use, for some wagons.)

But if they can do the 104 (perhaps as a standalone) in BR Blue and have it able to layer into Blackpool Branches/WCMLos etc, I think they could make some money doing it. Those routes especially are crying out for another 1st gen DMU and if they were to release a Blue and/or Blue-Grey version, then you can either have then layer over the 142s in game, or simulate the period when the changeover was happening.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would to see them release a Blue version of the 104.

I feel exactly the same :)
Still hoping that those new liveries will also find their way into Linke Rheinstrecke and perhaps Niddertalbahn... just imagine hauling a TEE or IC in those colours along the Rhine!

Interesting... that's the opposite of the opinion of many others on the forum.
Guess it's a good compromise then.

Agreed. Plenty of modern rolling stock available on other routes, I quite like to see some historic routes on the few routes that have them.

TSG possibly the German JT in this situation?

Mittenwaldbahn looks crazy realistic with its scenery. Definitely on par with WCML OS.

Is this what passes for an update these days?

How about some real information and some WIP screenshots..... If there are any.

Agh the Mittenwaldbahn looks incredible! The Krokodil is a real beauty in this shots, heck maybe I’ll be too distracted looking at the thing to even drive it properly. And the route itself, my goodness. That one shot with the 111 and the mountain in the background is a work of art right there.

Consider me hyped for this one fellas

Thinking along similar lines... we get a 3D modelling render screen dump of the wagon and nothing on the 104.

And while a further glimpse at the Day One purchase which will be Mittenwaldbahn is welcome, it hardly constitutes a reveal.

Not really up to the standard of last Friday with loads of hitherto unknown and unseen content from JT.

Hopefully next week and Friday in particular, DTG will up their game with some genuine surprises and new stuff we haven't seen before.

You forget that TSG came out with Niddertalbahn 1st. With crazy good scenery and based in the 90s.

So you could say JT is the UK version of TSG.

DTG can only give what the developer gives them. Isn't this one guy doing it part time rather than a full company?
The one guy doing the new North London line released basically nothing before releasing it fully.
Maybe that's just how they work.

Considering I don’t really fancy long routes with few stations (and am thus not very excited about JT’s WCML route even though it undoubtedly is of great quality), I’m so amazed by the Mittenwaldbahn screenshots.

TSG is using their experience gained with Niddertalbahn and leveling up everything… longer route, more complex scenery & locos, more rolling stock. We love to see it!

You really can’t make this up huh… and I thought I’d seen it all. What’s the difference between 34 and 35 years ago that makes the route unbuyable? ;)

I don’t get this point of view. All of the Austrian routes we’ve gotten so far have been set in the modern era. And from what I can see, a modern Mittenwaldbahn would mostly re-use comparatively boring modern EMUs we already have. Why would you immediately complain if they want to explore other time periods for once?

Interesting, where did you hear that? Perhaps Skyhook is working on a route right now and thus unable to finish the packs… been a while since MML!

I'll be picking Mittenwald up in a sale as I'm really only after the DB coaching stock for railtours etc, but very happy for the people that are excited for it!

I don't understand Agent's viewpoint either. The TSC version is set in the modern era which has a near silent EMU and a modern electric with more power than needed to get up the hills. Again it's subjective but my experience of travelling in Germany and Austria does go back 40 or so years, so I can identify far more with what we're getting than modern DB Red etc.

Basically, its modern version would feature the 4024 (once again) and Talent 2 DB (not a great choice IMHO...)!

Well I believe the original statement made it seem like they didn't want anything "challenging." Modern EMUs and locos with a ton of power are going to make things a lot "easier." I don't share that desire, but I can see where the reasoning is on it.
Like people wanting to fly modern jets with GPS rather than old warbirds without navigation aids.
    It's just a different preference I suppose.
Having said that, I still say there's a LOT of modern content out there, especially in Germany/Austria.
It's not the end of the world that one route will be set in the late 80s.
Isn't Nitterbahn set just a few years after that as I recall?
Although the critics probably won't play that either since it's not an electrified route.

We already have them (heavily refurbished) in the FLIX train. But yes, I would love to have them in their original form, in blue/ivory or even old DB green and blue.

I am MAJORLY stoked for Mittenwald! Especially the ton of new/reworked rolling stock, including n-Wagen with their original interiors and (non) paint, and with the ABn mixed-class. And am very curious to see the TEE/IC coaches

I am really looking forward to the Mittenwaldbahn. I like that it's another historic route from TSG. The scenery looks fantastic in the screenshots. I don't think there will be many routes that look better if the entire route is of that quality.

I also like the fact that, similarly to Just Trains' recent WCMLoS route, there is a nice variety of rolling stock included. As for the ÖBB 1020, I am surprised to see a loco that looks like that in the game at all. It will be a nice change from the modern locos on most continental European routes.

Didn't mean to complain, it's a nice looking route for people who enjoy the old stuff. For me personally I just cannot relate to old railroads and prefer to use modern stuff.

OpenMinded It will be Innsbruck hbf to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It´s a very straight forward route. No branches or anything that could be added.

I like that it is a single track route. Not that many of them. I like trains meeting at the stations and a lot of pzb coming with it I assume

Without wanting to seem prying, you seem very well travelled on the railway world Vern - was/is the globetrotting for work or purely pleasure?

For posterity I've been on literally one train (well, two technically) outside the UK, which was a trip to Barcelona from (if memory serves) Taragonna or somewhere close by. Took about two hours on a train with no aircon in the middle of a 35-40 degree heatwave

On the cargoline thread someone mentioned it and Skyhook released a response for it (down below) its mainly been delayed due to issues they are having with making the wagons and practices laid out by Dovetail. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/cargo-line-vol-3-intermodal.86040/page-2

Classic rolling stock in classic colours. Amazing.

Regards the PFR snippet, I think the original grey model 104 images were released around 6 months ago where it was on under 3 months section of the roadmap.

I can't believe that in that time they have not got the 104 into green yet. Would be great to see a proper update on the route. Even if it's to say they are now providing a much bigger update for the route. At least that would explain the delay for it.

Oh for pleasure. One of the perks of working on the railway, at least in BR days, was the free or reduced fare travel available in many places not just the UK but most of Europe and even Canada! Of all the places I visited, Scandinavia probably my favourite - the long haul up from Trondheim to Bodo and back on the Nordland Line, or the slightly less scenic but utterly fascinating Swedish Inlandsbanan from Ostersund up to Gallivare.

Canada was fantastic too, went across from Toronto to Vancouver, breaking my journey in Banff. Back to Calgary then bus to Edmonton (VIA had pulled the train service). Out to Prince Rupert on the Skeena, then back to Prince George. BC Rail down to North Vancouver which I had to pay for as they didn’t offer any concessions to UK rail staff, then finally the Super Continental back via Jasper to Winnipeg for the flight home.

The amazing thing too, thinking back, was in 1986 when I went to Canada there was no internet and accommodation etc all had to be arranged by research from guide books and writing to the hotels/motels trying to get a booking.

With most of the addons on last month's roadmap being revealed what are the chances they'll be an announcement for a new developer, country or a possible return of the preservation crew revealed next week.

In the article, it mentions the ScotRail 158. I hope that just means they'll use the model and not the livery.

Interesting mention of the Scotrail 158. Considering they don't serve Manchester that's an odd choice.

Looks like this week will be reveals from remaining bits of November roadmap such as Zwolle-Gronigen and cargo line and some kind of Roblox Tycoon update. Then the 20th will be some kind of surprise.

I wonder if it's a misprint and they meant EMT. Skyhook released details earlier of their Leven liveried 158 and updates for Glasgow-Edinburgh.

This is an actual thing believe it or not. For a brief time, northern hired some scotrail 158s for services to and from Manchester Airport. I think this was 2019?
