To be clear: yes, I am a huge, no-nonsense "Train Sim World" fan from Day One when it comes to the DACH region (which is the German term combining Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).

However, in the meantime, I've gotten really tired of it. It seems we only ever get disconnected routes in southern Germany, or—as just announced—yet another similar diesel locomotive like the DB BR 212 V100, even though we already have the Vossloh G6, BR 204, and BR 363. Why on earth do we need a BR 212 on top of that?

It would be much more interesting to finally get modern dual-mode locomotives, such as a Vectron Dual Mode BR 248 or a Stadler EuroDual BR 159. oor whatever...

Besides, when is DTG going to start building connected routes so that I can drive all the way from Flensburg in the north down to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the south (in sections, of course)? Or from east to west, eventually creating a connection to the Dutch routes?

Maybe you guys should take a look at what an enthusiast with a lot of love for detail has already achieved for the Hamburg–Hannover route, for example: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/strecke-hannover-hamburg.75893/

So, my friends, that’s it for now...

They already are, sort of, you can drive all the way from London to Carlisle in TSW and all the way from Kassel to Koblenz and Ingolstadt. Flensburg to Garmisch-Partenkirchen is nearly 500 miles, or 804 km, it would take a lot of time to make a the a collection of routes adding to that total route length, not impossible, but time-consuming

Just because a train looks similar does not mean they are identical. There are different variants and subclasses that all run different services, service patterns or even regions so not making them means certain routes don't exist

We could probably do with Part 2 of the Rhine Valley from Koln to Koblenz which would also link on to Koln - Aachen.

Calling the G6 or 363 "similar" to the 212 is a stretch, to say the least. The 204 is very similar indeed, yes, but built by a totally different country (in its time). It would feel jarringly out of place on the routes the 212 is intended for, i.e. Neckartalbahn, Niddertalbahn, and hopefully Linke Rheinstrecke.

Because it's been a staple of German railroads for decades, can be used in a wide variety of ways and for many different eras, and has been a long requested community favourite.

    Whatever = the 212 ;):cool:
Tastes differ, why not have both? TSG can build the 212 if they feel like it, and another team (or another sub-group of TSG) can try their hand on the EuroDual for example, if they want to at some point. It might not be my cup of tea, but I won't keep them from doing it either, far from it.
There are many German locos ingame already which I personally neither like nor use, but I don't have a problem with them existing either. Someone likes them, I don't, fine. To each their own :)

I can definitely see the charm in that, but why not spread out a little? Instead of one interconnected corridor, just for corridor's sake, I'd rather have variety. Germany has a very varied topography to offer, and lots of untapped potential especially in smaller, lesser known but very interesting routes.
And the same thing which applies to locos, also applies to routes: If a route builder or team really feels like building route x because they love to do it, then the end result will probably look and work better than a route that only exists to close a corridor gap :)

Since Linke Rheinstrecke is one of my all time favourites, I wouldn't be against that

For someone who is not German, it becomes extremely redundant, and without wanting to be disrespectful, it's practically the same trains and exactly the same look, just recycling under the pretext of covering several regions, when other locomotives/trains running on these same regions, which still do not exist in the game, would be more relevant.

In each roadmap, we see almost exclusively German, British, or American flags on the screen. Yet, for the most part, it's only the route that's new, not the trains. And the price remains extremely high.

It was way more convenient in TSC with the QuickDrive mode...
Ok you had to go through the main menu between each segment, just like now, but you could choose where to place the "spawn markers."
Not to mention merges—there still aren't any in TSW...

TSW really isn't designed for those who want to cover long distances.
    :(
