If you don't intend to drive the 92 then it's not worth buying it for the coupling and a few sounds. I understand why the 73/9 uses the Dellner coupling but I don't understand the Bogies sounds. The 73 is a Bo-Bo and the 92 is a Co-Co. There is a Patch on ATS which adds a Dellner coupling to the Class 92 using, with APs permision, to use the Dellner from the Class 37 Pack If you have the AP Class 37 then you can get the Dellner for the 92

The game is not the same as a model railway where if you want a feature on a model you have to fit it yourself. It’s solid. Does what it says on the tin really, it makes the signals look better and work more accurately so it provides some immersion if only a small amount and only for most of the UK routes. And if you’re a scenario creator you can do a whole lot more with them than regular signals but by no means it is essential. It’s just if you want to go that extra mile really.

Seems DTG is dumping all USA TSC content in the deep discount bin. DTM, HIS, etc already switching to TSW? All those up-and-down-the-mountain-routes and cut-copy-paste locomotives, were these even commercially successful?
I feel the problems DTG are having with USA DLC is down to licences. They seemed to have fixed it once but with the changes in the political scene it might be happening again.
I picked up Tokyo Commuter and Tohoku High Speed. Tokyo Commuter seems really good, I've only done one scenario but a very different setting to play in. Not impressed by Tohoku - running sounds are very poor and seem to cut out in the cockpit after 10 seconds. I'm only able to get them back by switching back to external view - refund requested! Avoid!
I remember getting a chance to try out the Tohoku route and the second scenario had a major problem with it. I believe that is fixed now, but it did turn me off of the route. I will try it again at some point. My focus today was Berlin. Picked up Mighty Seddin, Berlin-Leipzig (I waited an eternity for the 50% off hit, helped by having too much other stuff to look at), and S25 Heart of Berlin. Ringbahn is not an all time low so may wait. Tadami too good at 75% off. Going to take the 60% on Cologne-Dusseldorf, which I understand has issues but for this price maybe I can find workarounds for some of them. Would be nice to get Berlin-Wittenberg scenarios as a pack since I have no need for the shorter route and would move them to the Leipzig route anyway.

question, do ATS ever do sales? (not asking about the discount that you get after you get the subscription)
They did have a couple of duo deals that lasted a very short time and never retuirned. Other than that, the only "sales" I can recall are once a year half price subs. I think it's because they aren't doing much to maintain the sub program so they figure they have to lower the price in half to keep people subscribing, which lets them continue to take advantage of the discounts on one or two items over the year, basically resulting in paying full price in the first place. I still think a sub program that provides free exclusive scenario packs or other goodies might be a good thing to add, but knowing what ATS scenarios look like, sooner or later every scenario in the scenarios section would include those "other" exclusive never-again-appearing goodies (unless free users get them a few months later as regular downloads, kind of like an early use promotional thing), while scenario packs would remain entirely exclusive. Still hard to justify for $62 CAD/yr for me. I have to wait for next February I guess. That said, you DO get all this with it (one of which is pointless without a $75 train): But I note again, after you have everything archived, it doesn't make sense to pay for future years. One and done. Though the North Downs Line preview has me considering whether doing the sub to get that discounted might be a good idea, and I can finally take care of those damn wires...and if TPE ever merges the airport and Warrington...
so a yearly thing? or rarely a yearly thing? Honestly I kinda wish they would keep this as a yearly traditional. At this current point in time, I haven't really got the chance and buy a lot of the stuff i want from them now i am waiting until december to start buying their other train stuff. Mainly aiming for the class 185, Mk5 carriages, kings cross to kings llyn, the northampton loop and I think thats about it. Since I dont think i can make it buying the ECML stuff needed from steam with the sales at hand. It would be very useful for another year of sale so, would be really useful for another year of sale and they have my support for this time.
I can't predict ATS sales. It's not like AP, which has sales every four months with a possible shift from Easter to a bank holiday. ATS sales are so rare and, by the time many find out, the sale is already over and it's back to waiting an eon for them to do something again. I do think they could impose sales into their strategy in a way that would not hurt them, and would actually bring more people on board to buy things they might not otherwise buy. Look at my AP collection. I have almost everything now save a few items (a couple of wagons, the new HSTs, and the clouds, maybe one or two more). I bought most of them at 40% off. Have I used many of them? Not yet, but I certainly plan to when I have better processing power for heavy AI scenarios. However, I have been buying them anyway. Why? I got a deal on them. And they are now available for me to use anytime I want to. I haven't had a good shot at discounts at ATS yet (which is partially my fault for missing them, but I also hear the news after the fact). As a result, I have not bought anything from ATS yet. But even when I do, the odds of me buying the Class 745 and Class 755 even at the "membership" price of another 50 pounds - above the subscription price, even - is on the border of insanity even if the route comes as part of the subscription. Most everything else is fair game (though I did see a payware pack that requires something else payware that is also unavailable, which seems like a no-no if you ask me). I look forward to getting the 185 moving someday as I will want that for Hope Valley, personally, as well as running it to Liverpool where I think it also runs (they use Chat Moss?).
