I've gone through and timestamped the March Roadmap last night, which highlights answers to many questions from this thread, as well as answers we were asked live during the evening that you can skim through.



As for the remaining questions in this thread unanswered, I will talk about these below, and then close the thread.

Just a quick mention that anything regarding new content that we've not yet shared details about, we won't be able to answer directly. The best place to find out about news for new upcoming releases is on our articles and within these monthly Roadmap updates.

Q: (Unanswered on Stream) Will there be a pre-order for the London Overground Suffragette line route?
Not for this release, we just have our release date set for March 19th. If you have Xbox gamepass, after the launch you will be able to get a 10% discount on Xbox.

Q: (Unanswered on Stream) Can you only cache one route at a time? Or can you increase the cache size to store more?
You can store caches for multiple routes at once, Matt mentions that updates to your display drivers can impact this stored cache, so you mean need to re-do it occasionally. You can view a detailed response about the topic from Matt on our livestream at 49:25

Q: (Unanswered on Stream) Layering on EDG for 170 or 158?
For the Class 170, there haven't been any changes to the ScotRail Express: Edinburgh-Glasgow add-on, so we don't expect any layering to appear. As for the 158, we've not yet got enough information about the layering just yet from Skyhook, we will keep you updated once we know more.

Q: Why are there multiples of the same locomotives in menus?
Matt was able to provide a really good in-depth explanation for why it's important we have to keep locomotives separate in menus, which you can find timestamped on our live stream at 1:18:40

Q: Will you guys ever consider doing more TFL routes?
There isn't anything to confirm at all here, of course having the communication with licensors for routes being opened up with London Overground could mean the potential for future developments in these areas is easier to approach.

Q: Are any ÖBB 1116 timetable services planned for S-Bahn Vorarlberg?
We don't have any service layers planned for Vorarlberg, but you will find freight being able to substitute in.

Q: Any update on the work to bring announcements to your routes?
We've seen the feedback from Rivet's latest couple of routes to introduce announcements, and it's something we're keeping an eye on, but currently, the routes we're developing that we've showcased so far do not feature the auto announcements.

Q: Where are we heading with TSW? Long-term plans?
This is a really large question to dive into, and it has many different elements to comment on. What I will say as a quick mention, is that TSW is doing very well and we're working hard to keep delivering the best add-ons and features that we can. Just with the release of TSW4, our teams have been hard at making the experience more customisable and creative, especially with tools like Formation Designer and Free Roam allowing you to do more with your entire catalogue. Additionally, with Suspension improvements coming soon, we're hoping to keep pushing the level of immersion in this area forwards.
This might be a good topic to give a more detailed answer to in the next roadmap officially, so I'll leave a note to talk more on it there!

Q: How much influence do Focus Entertainment have on the direction of TSW?
We've answered this previously, and nothing has changed since - Focus doesn't get involved in most of what we do, and for the most part, they only seek to advise and support us on the approaches we take and let us continue to handle our franchises, including Train Sim World, how we've been doing prior to the acquisition.

Q: Are we looking at a subscription model for the future?
We discussed this on the live stream at 1:09:34, but to summarise - the mention of this comes from our TSW Player Survey, which posed the question if our community would be interested in subscription models. We currently don't have any plans to implement these, and it's worth noting that all questions asked on our survey were simply exploratory, we don't have any intention behind any specific topics raised through these questions, but we want to understand the community feeling for this. As a note, even if we ever do explore a subscription model, we wouldn't change how you can currently purchase and own add-ons the way you do currently.

Q: Any fixes for Great Western Express regarding broken lighting/textures?
Thank you for raising these and providing images, I have logged these issues and can make sure we've got these ticketed to be looked at by our teams.

Q: General Design question - Glass Reflections

Q: Any news on London Brighton bug fixes? (377 back door)
Following up on tickets, some more information would be helpful for our teams - I've reached out to you on this BeastyBill88

Q: Can the floating buildings on Antelope Valley be lowered down
This is still with our teams to improve, there's not any progress to share yet but we'll keep you updated.

Q: Do you have plans to include new countries? If so, which?
Again, any comments relating to new content won't really have much I can add - but I will say here that with Tadami Line being announced, and Semmeringbahn being our first full Austrian route in TSW, we've recently been widening out to the "World".

Q: Any update on services going northbound on the ECML crashing the PS4 console just before Doncaster?
Our teams are aware of a couple of listed issues raised for ECML crashes on PS4, however, they're having some difficulty reproducing the crash - any more information may be able to support our teams. I've reached out to you TrackingTrains to get more information.

Q: Have you got a fix for the scoring system not recognising safety systems being enabled? (ie Blackpool Branches)
Our upcoming Spring core update will have some of these improvements, including for scoring on Blackpool branches not recognising safety systems and causing the platinum medals to either be too easily achieved or in other cases unachievable. We'll confirm the details when we're ready to release the patch, but you should expect to see this fixed fairly soon!

Q: Can we get a fix for the driver of the 112/143/155 always spawning in bald?

Q: I've found spelling errors - should I submit a ticket?
Please do! We have different teams that focus on the various issues raised, so even though spelling may seem like a smaller priority in some cases, this may be something our localisation team can do rather than someone who is focused on route development or environmental art. Please provide a detailed explanation as to where you can find the spelling mistake (In a menu, on X route) and a screenshot if possible!
