    Beside nice simugraph and overall nice build, the loco leave me with disappointing feeling that good era of solicitude is gone... The absence of inner corridor pulls a nervous string whenever I need to switch cabs... THERE IS NO ENGINEER WHO WOULD SWITCH THE CABS OTHER WAY THAN BY THIS CORRIDOR - immersion - 1

    Why I can not use the br193 Vectron on the route Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen?

    The only way you can use it, is with Free Roam feature.
    If does not appear by default on the route, you wish to use it.
    "Home" route for this locomotive is Dresden Riesa..

    Are you sure? It appears in the original release timetable & new journeys expansion timetable list for me. (PS4)

    You can! I have literally just finished driving a car train with the BR193 from Aachen to Koln (using the expansion timetable).
    Try selecting the loco first from the trains list, then the route, then the expansion timetable.

    Any update on fixes to the 193. It's been almost 4 months since the lack of an external view when driving from cab 2 was raised.

    It's kind of a big issue as most 193 services on the Vorarlberg route require multiple cab changes.

    I noticed driving the Vectron on Dresden there is weird light colored shapes under the freight wagons still..I thought this was fixed!? Anyone else?

    not seen any fixes for graphical issues, it’s something I’m paying close attention to aswell for another issue

    That's an Xbox only issue. It's been there since launch and and not fixed.
    I have TSW4 on XSX and PS5 to compare. It's same as the the z buffer filtering issue on the MFD screens in the Vectron, again an Xbox only issue.

    Still my absolute favourite loco ever made for TSW4. Despite any bugs posted here, it feels much more complete and polished than others.

    Has there been a collection of handy keyboard shortcuts for the Vectron? Things such as Shift+A/D twice to start the distance counter, Ctrl+Space for both horns... any others that are really handy or unique to the Vectron?

    Shift+r to confirm speed on afb. Ctrl+r to turn on afb i think. For the vectron, moving cruise control doesn't automatically change it. You have to press a button on the cruise control to confirm it and then it will change.

    Found a bug on XBOX Series S / X

    It is impossible to switch to the external view of the Railpool BR193 Vectron.

    When you sit in the drivers chair, nothing happens when you press the right stick of the XBOX controller to change the view.

    This only happens in one of the locomotive cabs. The other locomotive cab works as it should.

    Been there from day 1. External view from cab 2 won't work, same on PS4/5.

    4 months since release and this bug has yet to be acknowledged.

    We're probably closer to the release of TSW5 than anything more being fixed on the Vectron.

    I'd love if it would be possible to revisit the sounds of the locomotive and tweak the frequencies of the inverters. It sounds mostly good until it starts moving. Just that. Everything else is pretty good IMO.

    I just had an 800MB update for the BR193 Vectron on XBOX Series S.... Along with updates for the BR187 and some other routes that I don't think were mentioned in the update announcement today.

    I can't see what has changed with the Vectron yet... anybody noticed anything?

    Thats always the case... There are more fixed things than is written in the changelog.... Its more a highlight list whats there

    There are changes to free roam with the 187 being one example. There were also some core changes so other dlc may have been affected

    There's going to be differences in sound due to many reasons. Microphone used, sound software used, sound processing and compression, etc. Not every train is perfect either. If they tried to do a perfect 1:1 of sounds, it would probably take years. So it's a good representation of sound. Similar with anything physics related. Real life has soo much variation and uncontrollable factors

    Sorry, but you've got quite a good example on TS Classic of a Vectron ( from K-Trains ) that sounds good. In fact, there are trains on TSW 4 that sound legit good. And there are also mods that makes the trains sound great on TSW 3 / 4.

    What the Vectron sound require is just some tweaking of frequencies. I highly believe DTG's recordings also sound good. The only issue is the sound mixing. This should be revised.

    Positive feedback is feedback too: today I had my first real life encounter with a DB BR 193 Vectron at Dendermonde station in Belgium. I was watching my phone as I heard a very familiar sound and I was not disappointed. A sound job very well done, cwf.green and whoever worked on the BR 193!

    Here in the Netherlands this loco runs for the IC Berlin Amsterdam and the sound are really good indeed!

    The idle sound and the ventilators and also the horn tones are absolutely great. I especially love how the horn tones are done. Don't get me wrong, the sounds aren't 100% bad, it is just the frequencies of the sound of the motors / inverters when running that sound off. Even the start of the locomotive sounds good. :)

    An excellent cab ride video from ic_lokfuehrer just published, driving a Dutch 193 on an IC service from Berlin Spandau - Hbf - Ostbahnhof. English subtitles available (auto-translated, so there's the odd quirk!).

    Good commentary on signalling, the loco itself, and rail / general history. For this thread there's interesting, and very cool, AFB/PZB interaction on leaving Hbf.

    It's great that the bug of the transformer hum cutting out when opening and closing the circuit breaker has been fixed. However, I still have that the transformer hum occasionally cuts out, seemingly at random. Sometimes it cuts out only minutes after starting the run, sometimes quite deep into a run and sometimes not at all. I will be just coasting along not touching any of the controls or going through a neutral section and the transformer hum stops working. I have no idea what causes or triggers it. I can only get the sound to come back on by opening and closing the circuit breaker at low enough speed.

    DTG Matt any update on assigning the conform speed for AFB to operation shift + d-pad up for consoles? It would come in handy, especially when it's dark outside.

    The previous issue was a "logic bug" which is my area so I was able to solve it. What you are describing makes me think of sound channel limitations (basically a more high-priority sound cue was triggered at some point and at the same time all available channels were filled == transformer sound cut out). Either way sounds aren't my area so I'm the wrong person to talk to, and if it is indeed a sound channel limitation then unfortunately that cannot really be solved without changing the core sound architecture (non-starter afaik).


    Maybe I misunderstand what you are requesting, but isn't there already a console controller keybind for the AFB confirm button as of the winter update?

    hEADLIGHT CONTROL DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY

    After changing cabs, the rear headlights remain on, no matter what combination of controls you use. The front cab MFD should turn them off, but controls only the front cab lights, leaving the rear cab headlights on, even when set to Auto or Signal

    "Teleport" does not work. Ctrl-+ leaves you stuck in the roof of the cab, unable to move and with no recourse but to abort

    Have you tried turning all the lights off from the left MFD before shutting down the cab you’re in? This works for me

    I sometimes find that when stuck like that, typing "E" (sit in Driver's seat) can get you out of the pickle.

    Tried that. Tried arrow keys, 0, any and everything. Stuck in scenery is stuck in scenery.

    One problem with the Vectron is that you cannot turn on the lights of the Avmz and Bvmz IC cars on the Mainz Koblenz route.

    Two problems with the Vectron are that you cannot turn on the lights of the IC Coaches & the door selector not working/Not opening IC Coach doors.

    Since the update today, I seem to be unable to acknowledge the AFB speed by keyboard (shift + R) any more. Anyone else seeing this problem?

    The AFB Confirm keybind issue was caused by a new "Input Identifier" being added. What this means is that rather than having the "hardcoded" Shift+R/F keybinds that only works for PC the button is instead connected to an identifier that allows PC players to rebind the key to whatever they prefer and console gamepads get a keybind as well. Unfortunately the core/frontend part of the change hasn't been implemented yet (i.e. there is no new keybind in the settings yet) and when an Input Identifier is added it overrides any hard coded keybinds.

    DTG are aware of the issue, that's all I can say.

    Seeing the same thing.

    As long as this is a prelude to custom key mapping and (be still my beating heart) generic joystick/input device support, it'll be a small price to pay.

    OK this is good news, especially if it helps us change the controls on trains that are hardcoded (e.g., the 377 not respecting moving the DSD/AWS keys away from"Q")

    DB BR 193 is definetly the best locomotive in TSW and I’m so happy it was in Special Edition bundle of TSW4.

    It has the best sound, horns both low and hight are just super-b (and without sound-lags that other trains horns have, its just a pleasure to blown that Vectrons horns). Decent working computers in cab. Fully working LZB, PZB and SIFA even optimized for PS5 Dualsense controler which is so great! (For understanding what do I mean you can learn more about safety systems malfunctions on PS5 in other trains : https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/dualsense-circle-button-malfunction.80664/ ) And its a real workhore! One Vectron can Pull more than 2.000tons of load! Awesome rides along Nahverkehr Dresden under PZB U 55 influensung.

    I wish all the locomotives in this game will get so much attention to detail and great sounds just like Vectron has. Keep up the great work!

    One feature that I have noticed has disappeared is the sound of the train length counter . It used to be a double beep similar to a car horn but now it is no longer audible. I would like it to come back.
    I'm talking about the ps5 version. Has anyone else noticed this, even on other platforms?

    PS5 console

    I noticed that Eanos cars don't have a static shadow polygon, as other cars have (Zacns, Habbilns, etc .....)
    I have to admit it's disturbing.

    I’d like to use the Big V for the IC services on SKW that are usually hauled by 101s, but I can only pick freight services in the timetable. I do have both installed, though…
