Jezaroo, to answer your question, here is the Network Rail Working Timetable I used in '2G10 FOK-BHM':

2013-05 WTT CC | Network Rail Corporate Archive
    ^
    ^
The Cross-City Line is section CC02 to be more specific :)

Thanks for playing my scenarios, it's really appreciated and there are lots more in this thread if you haven't subscribed to them already ;)

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next scenario, 5R19 Millerhill-XED (385) on Edinburgh-Glasgow...

    Scenario Name: 5R19 Millerhill-XED (385)
    Route: ScotRail Express: Edinburgh-Glasgow
    Train: Class 385 ScR
Route covered: Edinburgh Waverley-Glasgow Queen Street
    Duration: 35 minutes
    Difficulty: 1
Scenario Storyline: Based off the real timetable of service 5-Romeo-19 but due to no available units in Millerhill EMU Depot, you drive a spare set from Edinburgh Waverley instead

    WIP shots await...

Here is our 385 on the right leaving for Eastfield H.S. in Glasgow :)

Nice to see some diesel traction in this scenario as well

This happens a lot on the journey as the 385 is the main traction on the line in modern times

We have arrived at Glasgow Queen Street 10 minutes early as we slipped in front of a Alloa-Glasgow Queen Street service which would've held us up between Croy and Queen Street otherwise...

    Scenario Link: Creators Club - (TG08) 5R19 Millerhill-XED (385)
Required Livery Link: Creators Club - INTER7CITY 43028 WEATHERED CLASS 43 HST
    Required Livery 2 Link: Creators Club - INTER7CITY 43169 CLASS 43 HST

I hope you are looking forward to this one, I've been TrainGeek08 as always, enjoy the rest of your day and until next time, goodbye everyone :)

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next scenario, RJ110 Munchen (BR 182)* on Bahnstrecke Salzburg-Rosenheim...

Scenario Name: RJ110 Munchen (BR 182 BR 193*)
    Route: Bahnstrecke Salzburg-Rosenheim
Train: DB BR 182 RP BR 193* (in Railjet livery)
Route covered: Salzburg Hbf to Rosenheim
    Duration: 1 hour (60 minutes)
    Difficulty: 2
Scenario Storyline: Based off the real timetable of service Railjet 110 to Munich, you are driving from Salzburg to Rosenheim before another driver takes the train to Munich.

    * Was originally going to be a Railjet DB BR 182 'Taurus' hauling the train but due to Formation Designer not being released on console, it is a Railjet RP BR 193 'Vectron' hauling it instead, however in the scenario description that is not the reason why... :o

    WIP shots await...

Here is our Railjet service in Salzburg, led by a Vectron... I thought I was booked a Taurus? :)

Vectron meet-up at Freilassing, told you you'd see my MRCE reskin in European scenarios

Crossing with an RE5 service to Salzburg. No FLIRT 3's today, it's back to BR 111s and Dostos :D

We have arrived at Rosenheim, an hour or so after leaving Salzburg awaiting the next driver to drive this one to Munich :)

    Known Issues:

    DOOR SELECTOR BUG:

You have to open the coach doors manually for the 'Load Passengers' instruction to complete because you cannot open the IC coaches' doors from the Vectron cab. It has been reported HERE but to no response (yet) so hopefully a fix will be on its way soon :)

    Scenario Link:
    Creators Club - (TG08) RJ110 München (BR 193)

Now onto the plethora of liveries required in this one:

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well :)

Today I am discussing the recent announcement in the APRIL 2024 ROADMAP of Formation Designer coming to console from Thursday. Specifically, I want to discuss how I am going to create them, announce them and roll out the releases (once Phase 3 (CC Uploads) arrives) later down the line.

    TLDR (too long, didn't read):
    • Consists will be created from Thursday,
    • New screenshots coming soon...
    • A release schedule for these mods,
    • Upcoming releases in May and beyond with FD formations...

So, let's discuss all things Formation Designer shall we?

Examples of Consists Required For My Scenarios:
I will discuss a few examples of formations required for some of the scenarios on the 'waiting list':

Nahverkehr Dresden - TRAXX TnT (DB BR 146):

    Player - DB BR 146 + Dostos Coaches (x3) + Dostos Cab Car + DB BR 146

This formation came about as it follows the scenario storyline of the wipers of the Dostos failing so an additional DB BR 146 has been coupled to the back for the reversal into the depot at Dresden after the scenario concludes.

    AI - none

Antelope Valley Line - Engineering Possession (ES44C4):

    Player - BNSF ES44C4 + 2-Bay Hoppers (SFJ) + BNSF ES44C4

This formation came about as it follows the scenario storyline of engineering works occurring on the Antelope Valley Line over the New Year period so you are driving this train through the possession from LA Union to LA Union via Glendale and Vista Canyon.

    AI - BNSF ES44C4 + 2-Bay Hoppers (SFJ)
    - BNSF SD40-2 + 2-Bay Hoppers (SFJ)

Midland Mainline - Immingham Revisited (66):

    Player - Class 66 EWS + Mk2 Coaches (x6) + Class 66 EWS

This formation came about as it mimics a formation used in the railtour, it was originally going to be Mk1s (as per reality) but it would not work due to the 66 having air brakes and the Mk1s having only vaccum brakes (if I remember correctly) so thank you to however reminded me of such.

    AI - none

Any teasers coming from these beautiful scenarios of yours?

Yes, screenshots are coming soon, expect them at some point in the next week... :o:o:o, all the scenarios are getting covered so watch this space for shots coming your way from next week.

    Release schedule:

Okay folks, here is the release order in which these mods will release (check the Creator's Club Roadmap or this thread for updates)

    • Nahverkehr Dresden: TRAXX TnT (DB BR 146.2) - Release date TBC

    • Antelope Valley Line: Engineering Possession (ES44C4) - Release date TBC

    • East Coast Main Line: Edinburgh Christmas Special (TnT (Top and Tailed) 47s) - Release date TBC

    • Kassel-Wurzburg: Double Jet (RP BR 193/DB BR 182) - Release date TBC

    • Midland Main Line: Immingham Revisited (66) - Release date TBC

    • Rapid Transit: IC Stopper (BR 101) - Release date TBC

    • Peninsula Corridor: Two in One (GP38-2/SD40-2) - Release date TBC

    • Blackpool Branches: Scenario Pack 1: 2004 - Release date TBC

Also likely to join this list are:
    • Northern Trans-Pennine: Double Peak (45) - Release date TBC
    • Bahnstrecke Bremen-Oldenburg: Top 'n' Tail to Hude (DB BR 110) - Monday 6th May 2024 Release date TBC
    • Sprit of Steam: Steisel Doubler (LMS 8F/ Class 47) - Friday 17th May 2024 Release date TBC
    • Antelope Valley Line: Metrolink Rescue (ES44C4) - Friday 21st June 2024 Release date TBC
    • Glossop Line: Scenario Pack - 2000s (323/142) - Wednesday 26th June 2024 Release date TBC

All of these releases are to be confirmed until DTG announce Phase 3 of the Formation Designer in a future article or Roadmap in the coming months, I'll keep you updated on the progress of this...

    My thoughts:
To be honest, I am really happy that console players are finally getting the privilege to join the PC players in the FD Beta as it means that the mod delays are gone and it is the case of 'When do DTG announce Phase 3?' and not 'Formation Designer is not on consoles yet', so thank you to anyone at DTG who sees this post :), I've been TrainGeek08 as per usual, thanks for reading and I'll be back in a couple of days to announce GBRf '66708', which looks really good (especially when paired with 66789 :o), but that's all I'll say before I give more screenshot clues away, but anyway, it's goodbye from me :)

    ANNOUNCEMENT!

Hello all, TrainGeek08 here, but not to announce 'Hamburg Return', no no no, it is something way worse and frustrating than that.

Since last Thursday, I have been having issues with Photo Mode, meaning when I take a screenshot and attempt to upload it onto Dovetail Live (so I can show you all my wonderful creations), an error message appears so it does not work, I have a support ticket open already with DTG discussing some solutions to this, which so far have not worked sadly. I will continue to work with them to find a solution and will update you on how this goes.

    What does this mean?

I am so sorry to announce that GBRf '66708' will be my final release EVER unless/until the issue is fixed, as I believe that you cannot upload any mod to Creator's Club without a screenshot to prove what the creation actually is. However, behind-the-scenes, I will NOT stop working on all the releases, I will create them as normal, in the hope that the issue is solved and that I can upload screenshots and therefore, mods again onto Creator's Club. In summary, ALL releases from 'Hamburg Return' onwards are not just CANCELLED, but SUSPENDED with immediate effect (for the time being). As I said, I will still create the liveries and scenarios as normal but they will only be seen by the creator (aka me) unless either, I can find a way to upload mods onto CC without screenshots or me and DTG have reached the conclusion that the issue is fixable and a patch comes out. Until then, I will be quiet in terms of uploads, but will be busy creating the liveries/scenarios as said above.

Onto a slightly more positive note, I have some news regarding my consists for Formation Designer:

All the formations are made, there are a couple of them with some issues to sort, but all the working formations have been 'subbed' into their respective scenarios ready for release in the future. I am still hopeful that they can be seen, as some of them work really well with the purpose of what the scenario and its storyline curtail.

Thank you so much for the support over the last couple of years with all the liveries, scenarios and any requests or feedback you have given, I appreciate it very much and I hope to see the end of this issue as much as you do.

I will keep you updated if anything important happens within the support ticket, but I'd hope for the best that I will return in the future, I just do not know when that will be.

Until next time (whenever that is), it's goodbye :(,
    TrainGeek08

Oh no. That's a real shame. We can all see how much work you put into your projects, so to be let down by the game not working properly must really be a kick in the teeth.

Do you know if other console users are experiencing the same problem? I suppose the bigger the problem the more likely it is to get fixed?

DTG have said (within the support ticket) that it is only me reporting the issue at the moment, but it has been investigated and the issue has not been able to be reproduced by DTG at this moment in time :(

About 5 months ago I noticed that the Weather wasn't 'sticking' in my scenarios and that everything was replaying in "default clear". The correct weather settings were still there they were just not being picked up by the game. A senior DTG employee offered to have a quick look at it, told me that they had passed it to the development team but that "the issue could not be reproduced" (sound familiar?).

I therefore assumed that I had broken the game in some way, especially as I had just added a couple of mods and also was seeing some substitution issues. This put me off creating scenarios so, instead I started playing around with Livery Editor. For the next few months I thought it was just me that had this issue although I did hear a couple of whispers to the contrary.

So imagine my surprise when I read this in the latest game up date. :o
    Scenario Planner
    • Custom weather should correctly appear when restarting the game and playing after user creates a scenario.
So mixed emotions here. Firstly my 'issue' has been fixed so I suppose I am pleased. However the fact that DTG never admitted once that my problem, which took away the main reason for me buying the game in the first place, was caused by a core game issue and not by me.

So be wary of the "we cannot reproduce this issue" reply. Instead it might be worth you posting an "innocent" question on the main forum to find out whether anyone else is being affected by the same issue. It might be that you are simply the first person to notice. If there are others in the same boat then (a) They can put in a support ticket too and (b) You'll feel happier that you are not alone and can bring the issue up more often if it doesn't get fixed.

    Good luck anyway :)

Hello everyone, I have the update you have been waiting for...

    I'M BACK!!!

Yes, between DTG and myself, we have found the issue is with my Xbox Series X's connection with the Internet as DTG themselves took a couple of shots on my account on their own Series X and it worked fine. However, I have managed to install TSW4 through Microsoft Store on PC and thankfully, it works!!!

So do not worry, I will try to get screenshots from Hamburg Return as soon as I can and will post them here, that was quite a scare to be honest, but again (luckily)...

    I'm back :)

Hope this is the news you wanted to hear, I've been TrainGeek08 as usual, enjoy the rest of your day, and I'll see you soon for Hamburg Return, take care folks, goodbye :)

Hello all, TrainGeek08 here and today I am going to review my best 3 releases in 2024 and worst 3 releases in 2024 so far and discuss why they are the best/worst in my opinion. Let's get into it shall we?

Before we start, I will say that these ratings are purely based on subscriber count on Creator's Club (as of today) and not the best/worst releases based off of the talent showcased in each mod.

    Best 3 releases in 2024:

    1st - 'GBRf 66789' (66)

    Released: Sunday 4th February 2024
    Subscribers: 284

Where do I start on this beauty? The colour palette on this locomotive is absolutely bang on in my opinion, and even though I took just under an hour to complete this, I can understand how it has done so well, all it needs is someone to use this in a scenario so it can get more attention ;).

    Creator's Club: Creators Club - (TG08) GBRF '66789' (66)

    2nd
    - MRCE (BR 193)

    Released: Tuesday 13th February 2024
    Subscribers: 214
    [IMG]

I think this reskin is worthy of second place because this is the reskin I have spent longest on in 2024 so far. Yes, I spent 2 and a half hours to complete this livery, and this one has done really well, it shows that doing the technical information on locomotives makes reskins more detailed and more popular.

    Creator's Club: Creators Club - (TG08) MRCE (BR 193)

    3rd
    - Traffic Red (BR 103)

    Released: Monday 4th March 2024
    Subscribers: 144
    [IMG]

I mean, three liveries are the best so far, that tells me I need to up my game with scenarios then... anyway, back to this livery. I like this livery, however I'll admit, the DB logo is not spot on, but it does the job for this one and I am delighted to see how popular this has got even if there are some better iterations of the same livery on Creator's Club already.

Creator's Club: Creators Club - (TG08) Traffic Red (BR 103)

Now onto the other end of the scale. For this one I will exclude recently released mods as it is not fair on those because they have came out fairly recently so people may still be giving it a go :).

    Worst 3 releases in 2024:

    3rd - Vintage Strathclyde (101)

    Released: Sunday 18th February 2024
    Subscribers: 19
    [IMG]

The reason why I think this release has not done so well is the lack of AI services within the scenario making it lifeless at times during gameplay. I know for next time to try and make scenarios on Cathcart Circle a bit busier in the hope that its popularity will increase.

    Creator's Club: Creators Club - (TG08) Vintage Strathclyde (101)

    2nd
    - Ivening Drive (150)

    Released: Thursday 8th February 2024
    Subscribers: 16
    [IMG]

I have multiple theories why this one has turned up here. One is the time of day and weather combination; raining during a sunset into dusk drive, does not tend to look good. Another is the route choice for this run; people I feel have found it boring after the reversal at St Ives heading into Penzance. However, it could be down to multiple things at once which is why it is down here.

    Creator's Club: Creators Club - (TG08) Ivening Drive (150)

    1st
    - Beets are Gone! (BR 365)

    Released: Sunday 17th March 2024

I am quite shocked to see Beets are Gone! as my worst scenario in 2024 so far just being one and a half to two months since release. I have a strong feeling this is down to the length of the scenario; this scenario is only around 20 minutes long, which is shorter than my normal uploads. Another is due to a lack of signal checks at stations with passing loops e.g. Aldenstadt or Eichen (pictured) which could've contributed to this as well.

Creator's Club: Creators Club - (TG08) Beets Are Gone! (BR 365)

    Overall Round-Up and Conclusion:
So, three scenarios in the bottom 3 and three liveries in the top 3, very strange but also really interesting at the same time. I do need to improve on certain scenarios or even just keeping things in mind which could affect gameplay and subscriber counts after release during production and testing.

I hope you enjoyed this one, let me know if I should do one later in the year to see if anything changes .

This is something different to do in the gap between 'Old DRS (20)' and 'HectorRail (BR 185)', but anyway, I've been TG08 as always, enjoy the rest of your day and I'll see you next time for the aforementioned HectorRail livery announcement within the next week. Until then, it's goodbye from me :).

Will be subscribing to most of your UK scenarios for sure. Like how you've put the links in the descriptions to point in right direction as to what's needed. Nice work

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next livery from the Creator's Club Roadmap, HectorRail on the BR 185.6 from Tharandter Rampe :)

    Livery Name: HectorRail
    Route: Tharandter Rampe: Dresden-Chemnitz
Train: RP BR 185.6 (in HectorRail livery)
    Route covered: N/A
Duration (to make the livery): 1hr 30 minutes
    Difficulty: N/A
    Scenario Storyline: N/A

    WIP shots await...

Here is the livery, the DCZ BR 185 in HectorRail livery :)

This livery has heavy weathering on both the roof and underside of the train. It needs a wash don't you think?

Here is the rear view, this locomotive is named after R2D2 from Star Wars (hope you enjoyed May the force... sorry, 'fourth' be with you ;):D)

And here is a couple of shots of it awaiting departure from Freiburg (Sachs) Yard:

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next scenario, 2L69 EDB-CDD (43) on Fife Circle Line...

    Scenario Name: (TG08) 2L69 EDB-CDD (43)
    Route: Fife Circle Line
    Train: Class 43 GWR + 4 Mk3 coaches + Class 43 GWR (in ScotRail IC7 livery)
Route covered: Edinburgh Waverley to Cardenden
    Duration: 55 minutes-1 hour
    Difficulty: 2
Scenario Storyline: Today you are driving the peak-time service from Edinburgh to Cardenden under the headcode 2-Lima-69. You are stopping at all stations apart from Lochgelly (lack of spawn points in Scenario Planner from Rivet, tut tut), enjoy the rainy sunset from the cab of Inter7City powercar 43169 hauling set HA02. Good luck driver!!!

    WIP shots await...

Here is our service awaiting our 17:20 departure at Edinburgh Waverley for Cardenden, the only service during the Monday-Friday weekday timetable which did this in 2021...

We pass another operator that isn't ScotRail :o, as 1-Echo-25 passes us in Haymarket Tunnel working the service to London King's Cross (ex-Aberdeen), courtesy of London North Eastern Railway (LNER).

Nice to see some 158s in ScotRail livery as we depart South Gyle, can't wait to see Skyhook Games' (more detailed/accurate) attempt at a ScotRail 158 .

The two workhorses of intercity workings in Scotland meet at Inverkeithing, as 170401 heads into Edinburgh from Glenrothes with Thornton (via Dunfermline) on a stopping service and 43169 + HA02 + 43169 (duplicated powercars...) work the service to Cardenden.

(The Cardenden service for a time was loco-hauled using Class 67s hired from EWS and latterly Class 68s hired from DRS before they were retired earlier in 2021 (the year this scenario is set in)).

    Scenario Link:
    Creators Club - (TG08) 2L69 EDB-CDD (43)

    Required Livery Link:
    Creators Club - INTER7CITY 43169 CLASS 43 HST
Required Livery 2 Link: Creators Club - 170407
Required Livery 3 Link: Creators Club - Saltire Class 158 (Very Detailed)

I want to add the reference material I used to create the scenario, tell me if you like this idea or not and if I should consider doing it for other scenarios or even liveries in the future.

So, I used the May 2021 Working Timetable to create this scenario, and I have linked it below in case anyone wants to create a scenario from that year for themselves. I have also linked the video from which I had inspiration to create this scenario with timestamps from when the service arrives and departs Haymarket in the video. (It is different (e.g. weather, timings and train/set numbers) compared to the video but we can gloss over that surely :D)

Working Timetable Link: 2021-05 WTT GC | Network Rail Corporate Archive
Inspiration to do this service: (arrival: 12:06-12:28)
    (departure: 12:30-13:09)

I hope you are looking forward to this one, I've been TrainGeek08 as always, enjoy the rest of your day and until next time, goodbye everyone :)

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next scenario, Light Freighter (BR 187 BR 193*) on Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel-Würzburg...

Scenario Name: Light Freighter (BR 187 BR 193*)
    Route: Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel-Würzburg
Train: RP BR 193 'Vectron' (in MRCE livery)
    Route covered: Fulda to Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe
    Duration: 45-50 minutes
    Difficulty: 1
Scenario Storyline: Today you are driving a light freight train on the Schnellfahrstrecke up to Kassel before regular ICE services resume. What's worse? It is single-line running meaning all trains are held at Kassel for you (What is up with running wrong-line southbound on Kassel-Würzburg in Scenario Planner DTG?)

*The BR 187 is restricted to a lower speed and sounds terrible still (Skyhook??) so I swapped it out for a Vectron instead, I would've used the MRCE livery for the BR 187 anyway so it is similar*.

    WIP shots await...

Here is our service ready to depart for Kassel led by a Vectron and not a BR 187??? :o

We go through tunnels and viaducts like this one (above) whilst restricting ourselves to a respectable speed (160km/h).

Here is another screenshot from a different viaduct showing off my MRCE Vectron in action .

After a long run on the Schnellfahrstrecke, we have arrived at Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe alongside an ICE service which has had to wait for us coming up from Fulda (due to DTG messing up the paths in Scenario Planner on SKW as mentioned earlier).

Scenario Link: Creators Club - (TG08) Light Freighter (BR 193)

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next livery from the Creator's Club Roadmap, Avro Vulcan XH558 on the Class 37 from West Cornwall Local :)

    Livery Name: Avro Vulcan XH558
    Route: West Cornwall Local
Train: Class 37/5 RSR (in BR LL Blue livery)
    Route covered: N/A
Duration (to make the livery): 1 hour
    Difficulty: N/A
    Scenario Storyline: N/A

    WIP shots await...

Here is the livery, the WCL 37/5 in 37424's Avro Vulcan XH558 special livery :)

This livery has heavy weathering on both the underside of the train. It needs a wash don't you think?

Here it is alongside my other BR Blue liveried creation this year, 66789 courtesy of GBRf. Now I ask you, which is better; 37424 or 66789, I know which one is better in my honest opinion but what a lineup nevertheless

And here is a couple of shots of it awaiting departure from London Paddington on a light ECS move to Old Oak Common:

    Livery Link:
    Creators Club - (TG08) DRS '37424' (37)

I think it is time for an update from TG08 HQ, don't you?

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next scenario, RJ256 Berlin (BR 1116) on the Semmeringbahn...

Scenario Name: RJ256 Berlin (BR 1116)
    Route: Semmeringbahn
    Train: ÖBB BR 1116
    Route covered: Mürzzuschlag-Wiener Neustadt
    Duration: 1 hour
    Difficulty: 2
Scenario Storyline: Based on the real-life timetable of Railjet service 256 along the Semmeringbahn portion of the journey from Mürzzuschlag-Wiener Neustadt and you have a singing train at your disposal so enjoy all the tunes it can make.

    WIP shots await...

Here is our service ready to depart from Mürzzuschlag for Berlin led by a mighty Taurus ready to sing its way out

Now getting ready to enter the great Semmeringbahn, which translates (roughly) as Semmering Pass in English.

Here is a screenshot from our only intermediate stop before Wiener Neustadt, that being Semmering, the livery looks fantastic it must be said .

Now we let the train proceed through the mountains towards Payerbach-Reichenau, Gloggnitz and Wiener Neustadt, where it will arrive on-time for a 12:30 departure onwards to Berlin.

    Scenario Link: Creators Club - (TG08) RJ256 Berlin (1116)

Required Livery 3 Link: Creators Club - Cityjet Talent 1 (DISCLAIMER: It is from S-Bahn Vorarlberg and not the Semmeringbahn version)

I think it is time for another update, don't you?

Hello all, now I have returned from my holiday, I'm here to announce my next scenario, Airport Express on LIRR Commuter...

    Scenario Name: Airport Express
Route: Long Island Rail Road Commuter
    Train: M9 LIRR
    Route covered: Hempstead to Jamaica
    Duration: 20-25 minutes
    Difficulty: 3
Scenario Storyline: You are driving a new service today, a special Airport Express service from Hempstead to Jamaica, a word of caution though, it is busy on the Main Line into Jamaica, so expect to crawl at 15mph as you are following a stopping service ahead of you.

(This is the busiest scenario I have ever made, this has just under 50 AI services meaning the service frequency around Jamaica is quite frequent as per reality.)

    Anyway, WIP shots await...

Here is our service ready to depart from Hempstead bound for Jamaica on the special service for travellers from JFK or LaGuardia Airports, which are close to Jamaica.

We have arrived at our only intermediate stop today, that being Floral Park, as a service from Ronkonkoma overtakes us bound for Penn Station, but we overtake it heading into Queens Village... (more on that below :o)

Here is a screenshot of some congestion, the M9 on the left is the Ronkonkoma-Penn service being re-overtaken by the M9 in the middle (the player train) as the M7 awaits a path to head towards Hicksville and Huntington.

Stuck at Jamaica? What a surprise, the player train (left) meets a service from Babylon (via St Albans) as they both await a Long Beach-Penn service to enter Platform 3 coming from Locust Manor, but who will be let into Jamaica first?

Scenario Link: Creators Club - (TG08) Airport Express (M9)

I hope you are looking forward to this one, I've been TrainGeek08 as always, enjoy the rest of your day and until next time, goodbye everyone :)

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next livery from the Creator's Club Roadmap, FLIXTRAIN on the Vectron from Nahverkehr Dresden :)

    Livery Name: FLIXTRAIN
    Route: Nahverkehr Dresden
    Train: RP BR 193 'Vectron'
    Route covered: N/A
Duration (to make the livery): 1 hour 45 minutes
    Difficulty: N/A
    Scenario Storyline: N/A

    WIP shots await...

Here is the livery, very green indeed with the FLIXTRAIN Vectron folks! :)

Some technical information on display like the MRCE Vectron, tried a different technique with the FLIXTRAIN logo, the 'FLIXT and IN' are pretty bang-on, but the 'RA' looks a mess to be honest with those rough edges...

Rear view of this livery, same as the front I'm afraid... :D

And here is a couple of shots of it awaiting departure from Rosenheim on an ECS move to Salzburg:

I hope you are looking forward to this livery releasing, I'm TrainGeek08 as always, enjoy the rest of your day, and I'll see you for the next announcement, until then, it's goodbye :).

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next scenario, Stoughton Return on Boston Sprinter :).

    Scenario Name:
    Stoughton Return
    Route: Boston Sprinter
    Train: F40PH-3C + CTC-3 Cab Car
Route covered: Canton Junction-Stoughton & Stoughton-Boston Back Bay
    Duration: 1 hour
    Difficulty: 1
Scenario Storyline: You are finishing this MBTA service to Stoughton before taking the return journey back to Boston Back Bay along the NEC. Your traction is an F40PH-3C with 5 coaches, which is normal for the branchline services.

    Anyway, WIP shots await...

Here is our service ready to depart for Stoughton from Canton Junction, having taken over the previous driver as they were ill.

We have arrived at turnaround station today, this is Stoughton, where we change ends and head back towards Boston Back Bay (vice South), so the headlights become marker lights and away we go!

Here is a screenshot worthy of being in a Screenshot Contest, our CTC-3 gliding into Canton Center with the sunset sky providing a stunning backdrop on this branchline station .

Not too far now, we have arrived at Readville with no issues, only three stops to go until an early night in Southampton Street Yard, those being Hyde Park, Ruggles and our ending point of Boston Back Bay. This service will end at Boston Back Bay instead of Boston South due to congestion...

Scenario Link: Creators Club - (TG08) Stoughton Return (F40/CTC-3)

I hope you are looking forward to this one, I've been TrainGeek08 as always, enjoy the rest of your day and until next time, goodbye everyone :)

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next livery from the Creator's Club Roadmap, Trans-Clyde on the Class 314 from the newly-remastered Cathcart Circle :)

    Livery Name: Trans-Clyde
    Route: Cathcart Circle
    Train: Class 314 ScR
    Route covered: N/A
Duration (to make the livery): 50 minutes
    Difficulty: N/A
    Scenario Storyline: N/A

    WIP shots await...

Here is the livery, going back to the 1980s with this BR Blue/Trans-Clyde livery :)

Some weathering is present on this livery too, both from the underside and the roof :o

And here is a comparison between another Trans-Clyde reskin from the Creators Club (don't worry, I won't name-and-shame the creator if you know who they are ;)), but who's adaptation is better?

And here is a couple of shots of 314211 posing outside Shields Depot for a picture after its repaint (it even comes with its original depot plates of HY for the former Hyndland Depot before Yoker Depot opened and the stock was moved to there and then later to the depot where these photos are taken):

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next scenario, Wintertalbahn on you guessed it... Niddertalbahn :).

    Scenario Name:
    Wintertalbahn
    Route: Niddertalbahn
    Train: BR 628.2
    Route covered: Heldenburgen-Windecken to Stockheim
    Duration: 35 minutes
    Difficulty: 2
Scenario Storyline: You are continuing this RB service from Heldenburgen-Windecken and heading up towards Stockheim calling at all stations along the way. Both passing loops are useful in this one, as you get priority at the first, but you have to wait at the other.

    Anyway, WIP shots await...

Here is our service ready to depart for Stockheim in the wintery conditions along the Niddertalbahn today...

We pass a BR 365 hauling sugar beet to Bad Vilbel at Eichen, which has waited for us to come from Heldenburgen-Windecken.

We make it to Altenstadt, where the train on the right has just arrived from Stockheim, giving us the road to depart .

Now we have arrived at our terminus, Stockheim (or Glauberg-Stockheim to give its present day name) having arrived from Heldenburgen-Windecken (Nidderau). This pair will sit for a while before returning back down the Niddertalbahn back to Bad Vilbel and onwards towards Frankfurt :).

Scenario Link: Creators Club - (TG08) Wintertalbahn (BR 628)

I hope you are looking forward to this one, I've been TrainGeek08 as always, enjoy the rest of your day and until next time, goodbye everyone :)

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next scenario, 2B95 GLM-CST on Southeastern High Speed :).

    Scenario Name:
    2B95 GLM-CST
    Route: Southeastern High Speed
    Train: Class 465/9 SEW
    Route covered: Gillingham to Dartford
    Duration: 40 minutes
    Difficulty: 2
Scenario Storyline: Based on the real-life timetable of service 2-Bravo-95, a Southeastern service operating to London via the North Kent Line as Thameslink services are just starting for the day.

    Anyway, WIP shots await...

Here is our service ready to depart Gillingham on a rainy morning in July bound for London Cannon Street via Dartford and Woolwich.

We pass a Class 700 at the site of the old Rochester station working 5-Papa-07 from Rochester to Rainham prior to working 9-Papa-08 to Luton at around 06:30, this shot looks really nice .

We stop at a stop that Southeastern Javelin services skip on their way to Gravesend (London-bound) or Strood (Faversham-bound), Higham. Higham is normally served by Thameslink but as explained before, this is a service starting prior to full Thameslink operations starting for the day.

Now we are on the Dartford extension introduced alongside Ashford International/HS1 in TSW3, as our driver looks down the train at the passengers (not) boarding before departing for the next station of Swanscombe.

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next scenario, RE13 Magdeburg on Rapid Transit :).

    Scenario Name:
    RE13 Magdeburg
    Route: Rapid Transit
Train: DB BR 442 Talent 2 (in DB Regio/S-Bahn MD Red livery)
Route covered: Leipzig-Messe to Dessau Hbf
    Duration: 40 minutes
    Difficulty: 2
Scenario Storyline: Tonight you are driving this RE13 service bound for Magdeburg from Leipzig-Messe to Dessau, where another driver will take over. Adverse signals may creep in after leaving Bitterfeld, so watch out for any restrictive aspects...

    Anyway, WIP shots await...

Here is our service ready to depart Leipzig-Messe on a clear evening bound for Magdeburg via Bitterfeld and Dessau.

We pass through Zschortau with the camerawork showing a sense of speed as this Bombardier (now Alstom)-built unit zooms through at 160km/h :o.

Here is my favourite screenshot of the four I am sharing today . As we stop at Bitterfeld and await departure for Wolfen (Bitterfeld) and Dessau Hbf, the moon creates some sort of atmosphere in the scenario, but after leaving here... the fun begins!

Now we pass the normal traction on the line, the S2 line from Dessau Hbf to Leipzig-Stötteritz (not in game), whilst chasing another S2 service down the line to Dessau. Told you the fun began after leaving Bitterfeld, and that's after you think you were gonna get it easy, tut tut...

As promised, here to share a range of images I have taken with your liveries in them.

Those are stunning, I gotta say ! I have a WSR scenario in the works with both 66789 and 66708 top and tailing so the WSR screenshots remind me of such.

That FLIXTRAIN one looks really nice, the one I referenced was (I'm guessing) leased to FLIXTRAIN by Railpool as the loco number on the bottom of the sides have Rpool at the end so it is entirely possible that FLIXTRAIN Vectrons have been seen on freight workings :).

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next livery from the Creator's Club Roadmap, Fastline Freight on the Class 66 from the Engineering Express Pack for Edinburgh-Glasgow :)

    Livery Name: Fastline Freight
Route: ScotRail eXpress: Edinburgh-Glasgow - Engineering Express Pack
    Train: Class 66 DRS
    Route covered: N/A
Duration (to make the livery): 1 hour
    Difficulty: N/A
    Scenario Storyline: N/A

    WIP shots await...

Here is the livery, going back to the 2000s with this retro freight livery in the UK prior to Fastline going bust in the mid-Noughties...

This is something I tend not to say after I have made a livery but this one hasn't came out how I envisioned... the text looks incorrect and the grey from the side bleeds onto the headlight clusters (making the black shapes on the cab door on the right in this shot) which really lets it down for me as the text feels either too big or too small IMO and I couldn't help the shape bleeding issue unfortunately :(.

And here is view of the underside with some weathering visible on this locomotive, based off of 66301 (now a GBRf locomotive which was unveiled in a special Drax livery in the last couple of days :o), not my best 66 livery but lets hope my next one does even better ;).

And here is a couple of shots of our 66 hauling a singular Mark 1 through Falkirk High bound for Bo'ness :o:

I hope you are looking forward to this livery releasing, I'm TrainGeek08 as always, enjoy the rest of your day, and I'll see you for the next announcement, until then, it's goodbye :).

Hello everyone, and today I am going to discuss some possible trends I have found from the content which I have been putting out since the start of 2024. Get ready folks as this is going to be a long one.

The review will be split between two categories: 'Liveries' and 'Scenarios' as funnily enough that's the content types I make for you all (and Formations don't count until CC support comes out).

    Liveries:
    Positive:

    - Technical information on locos i.e. the MRCE + FLIXTRAIN Vectron liveries
    - Good accuracy i.e. colours/branding like on my GBRf '66789' livery

    What does this mean?
Let me explain; this data tells me that those in the community who download my content regularly like how I go for 'quality over quantity' and this can explain why certain liveries do better than others. It seems that they also like how accurate I try to be when making liveries, by using the closest colours as possible to the livery I replicate so that tells me that you enjoy downloading liveries that are detailed and accurate.

    Negative:

    - No or minimal branding
    - Lack of detail within liveries
    - Liveries which feel rushed

What does this tell me as the creator?
This tells me that people who like my content tend not to go for liveries which have no or minimal branding compared to the real thing, I do however have reasons why logos are not present in every livery, for example if the logo is too hard for me to make (from scratch) within the editor. This fits in with the next point quite nicely where you tend not to download liveries that lack some elements of detail found in my other liveries, which is again understandable because it is not up to the standard expected or if other creators have done a better version of the same livery. And finally, I may feel that a livery looks rushed (see the post above for a great example) but I take let's say 50 minutes on it and it looks in a right mess even with that. If I was in your shoes and seeing a livery which looks quite rushed, I would pick a better livery too, so I am with you on that one.

    Scenarios:
    Positive:

    - A consistent flow of AI traffic during the scenario
    - Liveries created by well-known creators in the community are present in the scenario
    - Movements which are not covered in the route's timetable

    What does this mean?
Other than telling me you enjoy the scenario hence forcing me to do better in the next scenario for the route, if there is a consistent amount of AI during the scenario gameplay, it makes you feel more immersed in the scenario meaning you will enjoy it and play it multiple times or coming back to play it every once and a while. This shows that my best scenarios this year are downloaded because of this and most of my scenario content uses a real-life timetable so it is as 100% accurate as possible to real-life. RJ110 München is a good example of this next point as you seem to like liveries by well-known livery creators in the community being included in my scenarios as it gives that creator a 'feel good' feeling when their work is displayed in a scenario. Even I am like that sometimes when my work is featured in other peoples' scenarios. There is a slight interest in movements which are not featured in the route's Timetable Mode as it comes back to the real-life timetable point I discussed earlier where I want my scenarios to be as accurate as possible which attracts subscribers (if it is a good scenario of course).

    Negative:

    - AI flow is mismatched during the scenario
    - Lack of difficult elements i.e. red signals or hold-ups
    - Poor weather and/or time-of-day choices

What does this tell me as the creator?
It seems to me that you dislike scenarios where there is either too much (Airport Express for example) or too little (Vintage Strathclyde) AI traffic, which effects the gameplay aspect of the scenario as you lose that immersion and you feel like you are driving on an empty route, which clearly is not right. However, sometimes this cannot be helped, as in some scenarios, I put trains along the route at random stations (that the player passes through/stops at) if I do not have a timetable reference to hand. Some of you may say that my scenarios are consistently too easy to play because of a lack of red signals or prolonged stops at stations or signals. I do agree that I need to make more scenarios difficult to play but ones that are still completable obviously. This is something I am willing to work on for the rest of 2024 and into 2025 and will keep referring to these trends until I obtain data from my 2025 releases in April/May time next year. Poor weather choices affected Ivening Drive quite badly, but for once I will take a slap on the wrist for that scenario. I thought that having rain and taking place at night might make it more interesting and unique to anything before it but I was wrong, it is an absolute shambles of a scenario and if I was in a similar situation again, I would be more wiser and set it earlier in the day or later at night so apologies for that. You may have thought that I am being a bit harsh on myself however as the creator I do need to take responsibility for scenarios and liveries which flop quite badly.

    Full Review and Wrap-Up:

So then, what have I learnt?

I have learnt that I need to take more care when making liveries and paying attention to liveries I create which require difficult logos or are trickier in general. I will also keep adding the technical information onto any liveries made on European locomotives and any extra details e.g. OHLE warning panels on British stock as it will attract dozens of the community to download my liveries and it will ultimately satisfy me as I felt like I have done an excellent job on that one. On the scenario front I need to make more scenarios harder so you have a good mix of easy and hard scenarios so the subscriber rates should be more consistent and I will continue to focus on the positive aspects as well with using popular community liveries and making sure to find the perfect balance of AI traffic to satisfy the casual player and not just me as the creator. For anyone who has downloaded any of my content over the past two years, comment on your opinions of my liveries or scenarios and if you agree or disagree with my opinions and findings as the creator.

I know that is it not the usual post from me but I think it is good to write these posts every once and a while to discuss things relating to Creators Club instead of the generic announcement of 'here's this, WIP shots, link and outro' as it can in some ways help me get better at content creation within Train Sim World and can act as feedback for future projects down the line.

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next scenario, Local Pacer on Tees Valley Line :).

    Scenario Name:
    Local Pacer
    Route: Tees Valley Line
    Train: Class 142 Provincial (1985-1991)
    Route covered: Darlington to Middlesborough
    Duration: 30-35 minutes
    Difficulty: 2
Scenario Storyline: You are driving this early morning service from Darlington to Middlesborough with plenty of AI traffic to be seen travelling along the Tees Valley Line as the sun rises for another day.

    Anyway, WIP shots await...

Here is our service ready to depart Darlington on a local stopping service towards Middlesborough, worked by a Class 142 'Pacer' DMU.

The low winter sun is slowly rising as we board passengers at Allens West this morning .

Here we cross over with a local service bound for York, hauled by a Class 47 from the Blackpool Branches DLC, like the unit which forms our player service (on the left), which comes with Blackpool too :).

As we wait at a red signal (I think someone has been looking at those trends again...), a Class 101 passes on a service bound for Bishop Auckland from Saltburn. The reason for the stoppage is that a freight train which has left Tees Yard has jumped in front of us as we are only going the short distance into Middlesborough station therefore it is only a slight inconvenience to our service.

Yeah, you'll definitely like it mate! I had a run-through earlier and the variety of locos you see between Dinsdale and Thornaby is different to what you can experience in the normal timetable :).

Hello all, I'm here to announce my next scenario, ICE118 Berlin on S-Bahn Vorarlberg :).

    Scenario Name:
    ICE118 Berlin
    Route: S-Bahn Vorarlberg
    Train: DB BR 403 'ICE3'
    Route covered: Bludenz to Bregenz
    Duration: 50 minutes
    Difficulty: 2
Scenario Storyline: You are driving service ICE118 on its way to Berlin from Bludenz to Bregenz through the rain-soaked Vorarlberg region this morning. Be mindful of throttle and brake applications to prevent wheelslip in these harsh conditions, good luck driver!!!

    Anyway, WIP shots await...

Here is our service ready to depart Bludenz on the long journey through Austria and Germany to Berlin Ostbahnhof, worked today by an ICE3 electric multiple unit.

Here we are at Feldkirch, boarding passengers trying to get out of the stormy weather which is sweeping through the region today :o.

Here we cross over with a REX1 service at Dornbirn, heading towards Schruns via Bludenz whereas we are heading to our final stop of Bregenz where another driver is waiting to take this forward into Germany.

With this funky angle, we have arrived at Bregenz on time ready for the next driver to continue ICE118 towards Berlin, quite a hectic journey with the storm and everything but you seem to have handled it well, well done driver :).

I’m making a scenario right now using the 110, but you’ll have to wait for me to announce it later ;)

Also: Is it okay if i use a similar format you use when you announce new scenarios and Liveries? I will credit you.

It seems to work for me, so it might work for you but have your own twist on it so it isn't a direct copy of my format :).

Hello all, I'm here to announce my first scenario in the 'Formation Designer Extras' series of releases, Longwagen on Linke Rheinstrecke :).

    THE FORMATION(S):

    Formation Name:
    DB BR110 + N-Wagen (LFR)
    Route: Linke Rheinstrecke
    Train: DB BR 110

    THE SCENARIO:

    Scenario Name:
    Longwagen
    Route: Linke Rheinstrecke

    Anyway, WIP shots await...

Here is our service one stop into our journey at Oberwesel, having left Bingen 10 minutes prior. We have the nice backdrop of the castle overlooking the station and our train :o.

Here we are along the river banks of the Rhine, as we flashback to the journey from Bingen to Oberwesel :).

And now for the main event and the reason why the scenario is here in the first place...:love:

NOTE: You have to require Level 2 of Linke Rheinstrecke's Mastery for the full effects and purpose of the scenario, but it is playable without it and all you need in that instance is your imagination that the display is there...

I hope you are looking forward to this one, I've been TrainGeek08 as always, enjoy the rest of your day and until next time, goodbye everyone :).

Some weathering is evident on this livery today, both on the underside and roof and I think it suits the weathering very well :).

We are going to be racing against my other TGV livery this year, the Thalys/Eurostar livery that I released around April/May time .

And here is a couple of shots of our TGV loading passengers at Marseille Saint-Charles before heading north to Paris Gare de Lyon:

Yes I am looking forward to TSW5. I will enjoy the WCML (South) but, TBH, I'm more interested by SHAP and Cardiff. Very curious to see how those two turn out :)

(Also I hope that the behind the scenes game file structure is the same as it is now. At the moment I'm assuming it will be).

    I am!
Can’t wait for the GWE remaster, JT’s WCML and the ‘Pendalum’ (Pendolino in English)
