Hi All, I just bought the Woodhead in Blue Scenario Pack 01 and I'm having an issue with one of the scenarios. It's 10. 9T71 Darfield Main Trip with the blue class 08 variation with yellow side rods. Scenario loads about halfway then does an Out of Memory temp dump. How can I get it to work? I have all content required for this pack. Thanks Jamie
I get the same effect an OOM on opening the scenario It looks a pretty simple scenario - no obvious reason why it crashes. It may not be fixable!! However I did manage to get it working using TS-Tools: I removed an empty consist(s) It seemed to be making an illegal call to some FASTLINE CA0 brake vans - I removed two instances and the scenario ran OK! This may not work for you. For now ignore the above and try this first. navigate to \STEAM\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Content\Routes\00000080-0000-0000-0000-000000002017\Scenarios\01e94adc-ff3b-492c-85c3-78da1648a61f and rename/delete 2 files: CurrentSave.bin and CurrentSave.bin.md5. Now try the scenario if it works forget the above.
I can't find the 2 files, plus the scenarios are all merged into an .AP file. The scenario doesn't actually load, the loading screen pops up, and lasts about 15-20 seconds before doing a out of memory error.
Sorry - I always extract the scenarios from the .ap file so I can edit them in TS Tools. Today I tried the scenario again with and without the fixes above it gave an OOM just like you describe. Not a good scenario for my system.
I’ve tried this a few times. Half the time it crashes with OOM, the other few times it loads, I put reverser into forwards, take off the brakes, open the throttle...and nothing happens - no movement, no revving of the engine. I managed to drive this refined 08 no problem in a QD, so I haven’t omitted some extra control element (not like the 08 has DRA!) So yes, there’s definitely something screwy with that scenario, to resort to technical parlance.
Raise a ticket with DTG - it might get looked at https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/reporting-a-technical-issue.31193/
