Completing the Hagen Hbf Network Contents Map Description Rolling Stock DLC Layers from German Routes Service Pattern Pictures Videos Action at Rbf Hagen Vorhalle Train Announcements Final Thoughts Map Description Hauptstrecke Bochum-Dortmund/Hagen is a route that runs from Bochum Hbf towards Dortmund Hbf with the Bochum Langendreer Junction built in 1988 to carry Intercity Trains RE4 playable in Rhein-Ruhr Osten & freight from Dortmund Hbf to Hagen Hbf via Bochum Langendreer Area. This was done to relieve the Wuppertal Dortmund Main Line, now the S5 & S8 S-Bahn routes of long distance traffic. This leads to the old route now Rhein Ruhr S-Bahn lines S5 und S8 via Witten-Annen Nord built in 1849 merging with the newer 1988 built Bochum Langendreer junction at Witten Hbf then continuing onwards to Hagen Hbf via Rangierbahnhof Hagen Vorhalle. Another feature of the Bochum Langendreer Junction was that it allows trains from Essen Hbf on the Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr built in 1860-1862 to run towards Hagen Hbf via Witten then Ruhr Sieg Nord Finnentrop Bahnhof. This is the RB40 RB16 Regional Lines which runs the Essen HRR to RSN RRO Hagen Hbf via Witten and Rangierbahnhof Hagen Vorhalle. Line length is 58 km by adding in the route information from the German Wikipedia line segments : the following are 11 km Bochum Dortmund Bochum to Witten 16 km & the 31 km length of Hagen to Dortmund Hbf Line was Electrified in 1964 by West German Deutsche Bundesbahn. This route is equipped with PZB including the associated Wuppertal Hagen Line the Rhein Ruhr Osten TSW2 route and Hagen Finnentrop Siegen Railway Line the Ruhr Sieg Nord route in Game. On the Freight side of the route all freight trains coming in from the Netherlands/Hamburg via Bochum Langendreer Junction from Bochum & Dortmund. Followed by Finnentrop/Wuppertal freight services stop at the Rangierbahnhof Hagen Vorhalle where these trains are broken down then reassembled towards the Netherlands or other Destinations in the Ruhr. Yard is operated Automatically and is made up of eleven arrival tracks, two hump tracks and 40 classification tracks that have a length of 920m. Lastly the East German DR V100 found in game on Main Spessart Bahn DB BR204 & DR V60 DB BR345 a DLC locomotive for Riesa-Dresden if extended to add Rbf Dresden Friedrichstadt. This Locomotive works by using a 471kw MAN Diesel engine (Source is IRJ which has a paywall) and Toshiba Scib Hybrid System. For this route it will work in Rbf Hagen Vorhalle alongside DB BR204 if Main Spessart Bahn is Owned DB BR363 if Riesa-Dresden or RSN was purchased & G6 RRO. In return Bochum-Dortmund/Hagen will give DB BR280.5 to RSN RRO RSN DDR Riesa-Dresden Main Spessart Bahn & the latest Bahnstrecke Bremen Oldenburg where DB Baureihe 280.5 works Oldenburg yard & Rbf Bremen Grolland. Also running on Koln to Wuppertal Line the Rhein Wupper bahn if that route were to be made after Bochum-Hagen/Dortmund. Locomotive is Made in Rostock Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, formerly East Germany. With the Advent of Niddertalbahn Bad Vilbel to Glauburg-Stockheim 365 with ES50 Sugar Hoppers will run the route including the hump yard Hagen Vorhalle DB BR403/406 If HMA is owned combined with Base route SKA these will operate ICE services on the line Between Bochum-Dortmund & Hagen-Dortmund via the Bochum Langendreer Junction. With TSW 3 being out now owners of Schnellfahrstrecke Hannover Würzburg the full name for Kassel Würzburg also Layers it's ICE3 here including the Trainbow version. DB BR155 If RSN is owned these will give Falns coal wagons to the route in addition to pulling existing RSN freight wagons and route-specific ones being Zags Eanos Hbbins & Snps 719. Blue Colour version with the Grain freight car Bahnstrecke Bremen Oldenburg (BOB) DB BR 187 Adds more freight traffic in or out of Hagen Vorhalle. For the Hagen to Dortmund section of the route, S5 takes 32 Minutes to reach Dortmund from Hagen via Witten while RE4 takes 25 minutes to travel between Hagen Hbf & Dortmund Hbf since it uses the Bochum Langendreer Junction to bypass Witten. For the intercity services using the Deutsche Bahn Website Trip planner intercity & ICE trains, these take 10 minutes to go from Bochum hbf to Dortmund Hbf and 23-25 minutes to travel from Hagen Hbf to Dortmund Hbf via the Witten avoiding line the Bochum Langendreer Junction connection. Finally solving the issue of running the freight services between Wuppertal Steinbeck RRO Bochum Ehrenfeld for the Netherlands via the HRR & Duisburg-Oberhausen-Arnhem Railway Dortmund & Finnentrop on RSN using the Rbf Hagen Vorhalle since those trains must be reassembled then proceed to their final destinations. Additionally, the line will offer diverse Rolling stock and opportunities for existing locomotives to work on including passenger Services avoiding Rbf Hagen Vorhalle. While owners of German freight trains including the locomotives for the route can use them on the big marshaling yard Hagen Vorhalle. The Advantage of Rbf Hagen Vorhalle is that the switches are automatically controlled by the dispatcher from entry and Hump exit tracks. If added the route can introduce a working Hump yard function and automatic announcements on trains including DB BR1440 Dostos using Ingo Ruff voices. Which will then be added to the other routes HMA RRO Main Hamburg-Lubeck Spessart Bahn Dresden Chemnitz RSN SKA HRR & Riesa-Dresden. This does not apply to BR462 by RRX since the automatic announcement voice is Anna from the Linguatec Voice Reader 15 programme and Flirt 3 Abellio Helga Bayertz also seen on HMA DB BR423. One more feature that Bochum-Dortmund/Hagen can introduce is the remote control shunter that way DB BR363 from RSN alongside DB BR280.5 & DLC DB BR294 are operated by the player from outside of the cab when working inside the Marshalling yard. Outside of the Yard normal cab operation. If made, this route ends the Majority of Traffic Red Deutsche Bahn trains by introducing multiple operators. To conclude this route can be sold as a bundle with HRR RRO RSN as Nahverkehr Hagen for the same price as a regular route. Route code wise if made this is DBS R7 XX B AC electric these are DB BR462 145 152 1440 S Hybrid Electric DB BR280.5 which is assigned to Rbf Hagen Vorhalle and local freight jobs. Alternating with RRO G6 DB BR363 RSN Riesa-Dresden and Tharandter Rampe. If made for TSW 3 Hagen/Bochum-Dortmund will have specialised tutorials for 280.5 the Hagen Vorhalle Hump Yard with 290 Dosto operation with 145 146.0. For the Training Centre tutorials, the Metro section is used for DB BR 1429 462 & 1440 DB BR 145 with 781 786 767.2 766.2 Dostos. Woah buddy that seems a little too large lol. I like the idea of a mega route but it would take up a lot of memory and will likely have a lot of crashes with all that rolling stock! It would be like BML on gen 8 consoles but much worse. And there might be some licensing issues with the BR 1440 (that's why DTG didn't include it in RRO)
So you mean making cutting some of the rolling stock down making it DB BR152 280.4 462 & 1440 if DTG solves the licence issue as standard trains. That way route resembles Riesa Dresden with both Slow line Dortmund Witten Hagen Vorhalle Line and the fast line being Hagen Vorhalle Witten Bochum Dortmund.
Just out of curiousness, where do you get the map? It strangely shows the Holzminden-Scherfede route, which was closed in the early 80s, so about 40 years ago...
It's actually from the Bergisch-Märkische Railway German and English Wikipedia articles. BME was the original private Railway company that built the following routes Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen RRO SKA HRR & RSN. Including This Railway line Bochum-Hagen/Dortmund via Witten exception being Dortmund Hagen via Bochum Langendreer Junction and Witten/Wetter built in 1988 by German Federal railways Deutsche Bundesbahn.
The new features are the Ingo Ruff announcement something Missing on the Doppelstockwagen in game on RRO RE4 Aachen Mönchengladbach Düsseldorf Wuppertal Hagen Witten Dortmund RE7 Münster Krefeld and RB16. Followed by the ability to drive RB16 from Ruhr-Sieg Nord to Essen Hbf and complete freight operations
You missed the ice 2 on the ice line 10 from Düsseldorf via Duisburg, essen, Bochum, Dortmund and Hamm.
Thanks for telling me about it. The reason why I went with DB BR 412 ICE 4 was that ICE 2 DB BR 402 is going to be replaced by ICE 4 from 2021 onwards. So you're telling me DLC should be ICE 2 DB BR402 & DB BR 412 ICE 4

Yes but there the ice 2 are still driving the most services, because the production of the ice 4 is taking long. And in my opinion the ice 2 is the far more interesting train. Keep in mind that on this route the 7part ice 4 is driving. ^^
Definitely going to affect Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen due to Doppelstockwagen 781 786 766.2 & DB BR442 getting Ingo Ruff voices Rhein-Ruhr Osten DB BR422 & 1440 getting Ingo Ruff announcements. Choose BR462 you have a different announcer Anna basically the German equivalent to bakerloo line Emma Clarke LIRR M9 Velinda Mitchell.
I agree and for the DB BR145 it can do the job of DB BR143 at a slightly increased speed when pulling Doppelstockwagen 781 786 766.2 140 kmh 85 mph instead of 120 kmh 75 mph on Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen Main Spessart Bahn. This one will affect all German routes by giving them Ingo Ruff announcements Flirt 3 uses Helga Bayertz like Hauptstrecke München-Augsburg DB BR 423 S3 line. A network bundle then and for this route Bochum/Dortmund/Witten-Hagen it can merge with Duisburg Oberhausen Arnhem line with HRR linking the two routes. Reason is that Rotterdam bound Freight sometimes start at Hagen Vorhalle with a Wuppertal Steinbeck train giving a Finnentrop Rotterdam freight a few wagons
