Hello everyone today I am suggesting a really nice loco add-on for Train Sim World 2. The DB BR 401, also known as the ICE1. This is the first generation of the ICE fleet, which entered service in 1991. The EMU currently consists of 2 powered end cars and 12 intermediate cars and is 358 meters long. The "DB = Deutsche Bahn" owns 58 such EMUs and these trains are in daily service but are gradually being replaced by ICE4 trains. This high-speed train can reach a speed of 280 kilometers per hour and is therefore faster than the latest ICE generation, the ICE4. The train safety systems "PZB = Punktförmige Zugbeeinflussung", "LZB = Linienförmige Zugbeeinflussung", "ETCS = European Train Control System" and "Integra-Signum" are located in these trains. Modernization work has been going on since 2019, with the ICE1 trains receiving new modernized technology and being shortened to 9 middle cars. These major changes eventually run through 2023. Services in Train Sim World 2 - Hauptstrecke München-Augsburg: ICE services "München to Augsburg and back" - Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr: ICE services "Duisburg to Bochum and back" - Rhein Ruhr Osten: ICE services "Wuppertal to Hagen and back" Here some pictures I would like the ICE1 to appear in Train Sim World 2 because it's my favorite train and you would also get older trains in TSW2. Also, I think everyone would like to get a new ICE in TSW2, so I think it's a good idea to develop the ICE1 for Train Sim World 2. We need this,for sure! Not only would it make german routes more fun.l,but also the AMTRAK VERSION I'm not drunk out of my mind,it actually happened in 1993 to see if high-speed was even possible! Just,other than those 2 things,I'd love more older trains!
Oh yeah, some are still in service, and I feel like with German routes, other than the loose locomotives, DTG isn't making any of the older stock that's still in use.
YES 10000% Absolutely, the DB BR 403 and DB BR 406 has gotten really boring to Drive for the most part

It would be cool to have the ICE 1 in TSW 2. Would add more variety to German routes plus provide a choice of ICE Train to drive between it and the ICE 3/ICE 3M.
This is probably the huge difference between german and UK/US routes/locos. Both US and UK have routes dated to the past as well as locos. Except for the BR 155 germany really has no "old" locos. The 401 is a living legend. Still driving, but already legendary as it is the very first ICE Generation. I think we all would welcome older locos and trains and the 401 would be a good start.
There is also a special "30 Jahre ICE" livery. A perfect homage to this train. However, it is already the shorter variant of this train but still sooo pretty. As an addition I would like to mention that the perfect route for this train would be the "linke Rheinstrecke" from Bingen to Koblenz. An older type of route with some nostalgic places along. The perfect DLC: a part from the Rheinstrecke (like Cologne-Koblenz) + ICE1 as unique new train, the 185.6 RP for freight and (again, but whatever) 146+Dostos for Regional services. Or maybe even the FLIRT3 as new regional train as well? I may dream a bit too much..
Yes we need this, maybe with a Route like Cologne to Koblenz. And than the Br 401 can layer to so much other routes
